  • I showed one or two of these episodes to my german teacher and he absolutely loved them! Especially the ones with a topic or theme, such as Atomenergie. Please could you do more topic based videos, I believe it would improve vocabulary as it's what most of my topics in college are based on, rather than general conversation (hallo wie gehts usw.) vielen dank!

  • Of course. The word "English", comes from "England". The word "England" means: "Land of the Angles". The "Angles" were people that - moving from Schleswig Holstein - settled in eastern England. The other german people moving to England were the Jutes and the Saxons. Then other germanic (not german) people as Danes, Vikings, etc. The "ingredients" are: "old german", "scandinavian", "french" (because of the normans) and "latin". Just mix all together with a shaker. The result will be "English" :-)

  • Expecially to people speaking latin language (french, spanish, italian) English is sure enough the easiest NON LATIN foreign language in the world. Indeed English took many words by the Normans who came from Normandy and spoke french. All the words ending in "-tion" come from french. Furthermore, english articles, nouns and adjective have no declinations and english verbs have very few conjugations... For an Italian as I am, English is certainly easier than German... BUT GERMAN PEOPLE ARE BETTER
