Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture. With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

  • One of the first things I ever seen about these tools was John Deere posting that they partnered with soil warrior on the tool. Then the people posting “ITS JUST A GREEN SOIL WARRIOR” acting like they just discovered a new planet

  • Thanks for another great video. It was very interesting. Well, not going to say understood all of that video but do follow the basic principles and operations of that piece of equipment. From what we saw today I am fairly impressed with the machine. You were doing ten miles an hour and that can cover a lot of ground. Seems to be well constructed. Don’t follow it all but believe it works good depending on how much actual tillage you want to do. I do think we will see Zach looking into one of these. Sam you did good with the drone landing it on the tractor hood. Yea!!!!!! Zach you need to really think long and hard on this machine. Know you’re interested but is it a proven machine yet. Just saying. Your go. Thanks for sharing with us. Nice piece of equipment. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.

  • Been watching our farmers for years, don’t farm but learned so much, like tillage methods used depends on the soil type. Minnesota’s soil looks dried lava with the texture of sticky clay, not so great for compaction & draining that’s why they deep rip. Iowa uses a lot more no till or vertical strip tilling. Florida’s planting cotton & peanuts in sand. Bale’s hay is planting in a desert. Implements & methods vary.
