It's amazing how accurate the 2002 version was for the time.
Accuracy is subject to opinion with the wizarding world due to the fact the movies changed the layout and looks throughout the whole series. I agree though it looks incredible 🤩

…and the Hogwarts castle was exactly like in the first two films, with flight courtyard, without clocktower and astronomy tower… I really miss that old and cozy version of the castle.

I'd love a mod that adds Jeremy Soules (EA HP 1-3) soundtracks to Hogwarts Legacy. Imagine entering the castle and be greeted by 'Happy Hogwarts'.
Soule also scored Goblet of Fire. James Hannigan's soundtracks ( 5-7 pt2) are surprisingly good too and underrated, especially from 5 and 6.
@@yrooxrksvi7142 They're less nostalgic for me but they have quality on their own. Order of the Phoenix' 'Welcome to Hogwarts' and 'To Catch an Owl' are actually insane and rival the movie score.
@@jonny2954 100%. To me “Return to Hogwarts” from the Halfblood Prince game is one of the most beautiful pieces of music in all of the Harry Potter franchise

Shame you didn't use the PS2 version of Chamber of Secrets. It lets you explore the castle grounds fully. Still, shows how awesome this game was for its time and how it served a basis for Hogwarts Legacy.
Pretty sure the gamecube and ps2 were the same i played both. The pc version was different one

@@gokucanfly4593 No, you cannot explore the grounds *on foot* on GC/Xbox. You can't even land "anywhere" with the broomstick. On PS2, yes. Either you only played one version or you haven't played either in a long time lmfao
@Daniele Mulas it has been long time. Hmm i dont remember that. I did mostly play ps2 as kid but the gamecub emulator was more stable especially the 3rd game
On PS2 we have Order of the Phoenix with an pretty well made Hogwarts, but it's in 2007. But, maaan, this Hogwarts is pretty good for 2002.
Not only Hogwarts was good in Order of the Phoenix The spell system was way better than it is in Hogwarts Legacy it felt much more natural to cast the spells back then

I know Hogwarts Legacy takes place in the late 1800s before the series but something about the atmosphere made me nostalgic. It is as if visiting your old school and seeing how many places have changed from the time you used to be there.
Chamber of secrets was really stressful when they spotted you, the ambience and specially the music was so good, and those who love the elder scrolls should at least listen to the soundtrack, it’s the same composer, amazing stuff! And Great vídeo as always!
Better graphics = 2023 Better frame rate = 2002 😉 Side note: I'm loving hogwarts legacy. While it can be technically rough, the Devs knocked it out of the park with the atmosphere and environment

U must be playing this on a potato. The 60fps on this game in 2023 feels alot better than 2002. Seems more stable too.
I have an RTX 3080 with 64GB of RAM so I wouldn't exactly call that a potato

Honestamente pudieron haberlo hecho mejor... al final el castillo tenia solo una textura no cuesta nada mas ponerle detalles a ese textura como musgo o deterioro

I don't think it was physics. If you look closely movement of the cape repeats, so likely it's just an animation.

The whole time ive been playing Hogwarts Legacy it just felt like a reimagining of the ps2 chamber of secrets game. exploring for secrets in the castle using spells to figure out simple puzzles, with platforming elements. it gives me a very nostalgic feeling while being a new experience, and i love it.

It is amazing how in the same gen the castle got an upgrade. Compare Hogwarts from Chamber of Secrets with the one from the Order of the Phoenix.

My eyes were full of tears when I first walked around Hogwarts Castle. I knew video games would become incredibly realistic but this is just absolutely…. Indescribable.

@@universal_wisdom3416 Yes actually i have it on pc when its actually working theres barely any exploration to the castle its just a few classrooms and mostly staircases kinda boring i was hoping to explore the secret passages and stuff like the chamber of secrets etc

@@fc_hunter1365 I’m currently trying to watch the Harry Potter movie in full for some perspective. But so far the secret rooms and the dueling room, courtyards, and hidden passageways within the castle is pretty spot on for my expectations.

I was never able to beat the first Harry Potter Game. Got stuck at the Devil's Snare at the end, couldn't figure out how to get past it.

This game need HP DLC episodes. Every book arc one episode lasting 3-5 hours. If devs did that that would be great. They could basically utilize this version of Hogwarts as a platform for a great adaptation of HP series and I am sure it would be great and impressive. I truly hope they are seriously considering this!
My only question is what will they do on further games with the map? Wouldn't it be kind of tiring to dwell in the same map over and over again? Don't get me wrong, I would love to have more games on this beloved franchise, but I am not able imagine what will they do with all the explorable areas that have already been looted in this game. Maybe this game could continue with DLCs/Expansions of Year 6 and 7, and not a full fletched release.
Hopefully they just keep updating this game for a few years. I don't think I'll ever get tired of the castle. But what is they made like a serious Sorcerers Stone remake and used this map for it or something like that.
Maybe they will add different magical schools in different countries.and there are ministries of magic also.surely they will extend this game to vast level

Para quien no lo sepa, los desarrolladores, tanto de esta versión como la de PC, solo tenían vagas referencias de la arquitectura y diseños por lo que gran parte d elo que llegó al producto final fue por investigación en los libros e interpretación pura y dura
Y otra cosa, la música de los primeros juegos era simplemente magia ^^

Could you do a comparative ps5 vs which pc settings are equivalent to ps5 graphics? I mean configure pc the way it looks like a pc with many games. I can’t find anyone doing that. All we know that pc has better graphics and a 500usd pc can’t beat a ps5. But which is the equivalent in graphics to a ps5?

Awesomeness is all relative. In 2002 those graphics and the ability to explore and fly around Hogwarts was equally awesome as todays Hogwarts Legacy is.

The Entrance Hall are the only room to look objectively better in 2002, as it's based on the book and captures the size and majesty of it much better than the film version used in HL does.
