Burnley were heading towards victory at Turf Moor over the Hatters before a late goal ensured the points were shared.
Amdouni hammered in his fifth goal of the season from Wilson Odobert's precise cut-back in the first half before Carlton Morris headed in the equaliser in stoppage time, which had to be checked for a period of time by VAR for an adjudged foul on James Trafford.

    • The keeper was going to run into the Luton player anyway, whether he moved or not. A poor decision by the keeper - should never try to go far a ball like that outside the six-yard box. He didn't even look who was in front of him!

  • adebayo had eyes on doughty / the ball the entire time, didn't look at trafford once. how can that be deliberate. also trafford had no need to be out that far and he kew it. made a mistake and looked for a cheap foul instead, poor keeping if you truly think it's a foul after removing bias, do you also think that attackers should move out of the way so that a keeper can get a clearer chance at saving it? or should keepers that commit to coming out for a cross also be prepared to face the physical challenge instead of falling to the ground because you're too small and weak to win the challenge?

  • In honesty it looks like Ekdal backs into and pushes Adebayo into the path of Trafford when slowed down, maybe thats why it isn't given as Adebayo never takes his eye off the ball. If you're going to come for the ball though as GK make sure you're strong enough to get there.

  • For me the keeper is coming towards the ball in this, and goes down too easy. The united one, the player is moving towards the keeper so fouls him. Totally impartial with all 4 teams but that's what I think

  • To be honest the goal is definitely Trafford's fault. If you are not good at claiming crosses, let the defenders handle it.Speaking of defenders, why Ekdal was waiting too much to jump and clear the ball before Morris heads it ? Even if he played a few matches, I think recruiting Ekdal was a really poor decision from Kompany. I have been watching this guy even back when he was in Sweden and he is a very average defender. This guy simply lacks athletisicm something that is complsury in the EPL . He often gets bodied by other players ,he is slow and his passing is average. Let's hope Kompany dosen't put him as a starter just because he did some clearances and backwards and sideways passes.

  • Did the Luton player deliberately block the keeper - I would say yes. Did the keeper take a dive - I would also say yes. Would the keeper have reached the ball - I would say that was doubtful.

  • The playerblocking had his back turned to the keeper and the keeper ran into him. This player had the right to stand his ground and his action in blocking the keepr was inadvertent. If this was given as a foul as a precedent, all opposing players would have to get out of the way of the keeper in the penalty area.A notion that would make a mockery of the game.

  • Having read a bunch of the wriiten reports of this VAR decision before watching this I fully didn't expect it to be so blatant a foul on the keeper. He actually lunges backwards into the keeper. Someone needs to be checking the "in" column on some official's bank account. Just to clarify, I am a total neutral in this case.

  • The reverse angle shows this better. Doughty's cross has real whip on it and Trafford hesitates twice before deciding (too late) to come for it. He's never getting there, in fact neither is his defender. Goalies know that if you can't reach the ball then the next best thing is to "buy" a foul. 95% of the time this works but Trafford was so far from the ball that the ref doesn't go for it. Great analysis on Sky as to why the ref called it this way and why VAR agreed.

  • VAR is the weekly joke that just keeps on giving. Surely it's time to take a look at this nonsense and scrap the whole damn thing. Goal line technology works a treat and should obviously be kept, but VAR; my god what a ridiculous process. Clearly, an intentional foul on the 'keeper and that equalizer should be wiped off. When players make mistakes, we don't stop the game and do a do-over. Same should apply to the officials. Mistakes are human and a part of sport. Just because there's technology in place, doesn't mean the game has to use it. Your team scores a goal and the immediate rush of a celebration is tempered by the damn VAR that's looming. Too many problems, issues, incompetence and inconsistency with it; not to mention it ruins spontaneous goal celebrations. Let's have a bit of common sense, please. United fan.

  • Never a Foul. Goalkeeper isn't allowed to run/jump through opposition players to get to the ball. Atta King players doesn't have to move out of the goolkeepers way either. How often have the words 'Goolkeepers get too much protection' been used. This is a classic case of same rules for goolkeepers as outfield players.

  • That is a foul 100% regardless of whether the Luton player intended or not (and even it looks like it was intentional, just look at the very end of it). 99% of referees in the world would call it a foul i'm so speechless Burnley robbed 3 points yes definitely this one is so crucial. Burnley will be relegated to the EFL because of this silly decision made by the referee
