Awsome stuff!I watched them! Also,i liked the premiere!
Omg yes
I love waking up to video from this channel every morning. As a pilot who's not flying right now, this goes a long way to keeping me enthusiastic about aviation.
Thanks Jack. Glad you find some enjoyment with these videos and hope you will be flying again soon!
I feel you. It is so frustrating to be on the ground while you want to be up in the air. Damn i miss my job
@@graceandkevin5017 why are you guys not flying at the moment? I wish I was a pilot
9:17 RIP tissue box
Glad I'm not the only one concerned enough to comment!
😂
Wow, Captain Gerhard Ramcke again!! Just finished watching Air-Clips' A220 delivery flight from Montreal with him as a pilot. Awesome crews flying modern aircraft. Great video, as always...
Glad to see that despite the rebrand, this aircraft is decidedly still a Bombardier. Airbus didn't even manage change the GPWS sounds to insult you upon landing. Good work, Canadians!
The GPWS system does not run the retard call.
Yeah, that "retard" call upon touchdown must be really annoying for most pilots.
A220 is a great and efficient work horse in these difficult times
Wonderful content! Brilliant vid of such an intricately beautiful cockpit operation! Plus the a220 is so good!
Missed the live, that view over the copilots left shoulder very nice👍,enjoyed watching! Looking forward too the next JP.
Thanks very much TIm and glad you enjoyed today's video!
a boeing fan here but the a220 cockpit is one of my favorite along with the 777
Yes ......Air Baltic! Lovely Crew with charisma!! JP....many thanks again! Stay safe and a nice evening :-) Greetngs Betsy.
Thank you Betsy!
I liked how you did transitions after the landing and didn’t drag us thru the full time it takes to reach the stand.
We didn't but believe it or not many people ask us to include the taxi so sometimes we do... Gotta give everyone a little bit of what they ask for :)
Nice and smooth and quiet. Pretty quick turn around time.
Parabéns Camandante e co-piloto, pouso muito lindo ....👏👏👏
love this little baby..so cute of a plane..
Amazing as always ..love your channel thanku stay safe have a good week love an god bless x
Thanks very much Wendy for always tuning in, liking and commenting!! Stay Safe as well!

first time I see the A220 cockpit , great video JP
A220s are awsome aren't they?
Awesome and you're very welcome. Thank you and glad you enjoyed the video!
Great video and beautiful plane.
I love seeing a different perspective about aviation. Definetly different than the view of my cockpit.
Still hoping to one day come film your operation!
@@justplanes that would be pretty cool. Let me know you ever want to and I'll help set it up. 😉
@@MissionaryBushPilot greetings sir what plane do you fly?
I love that glass cockpit And a joystick to fly it it’s like a kids dream come true.
Beautiful clean lines in the office.
Thank you for this video, I'm flying soon to this airpory.👍👍👍
so amazing cockpit views....
Glad you liked it.
What a brilliant pilot safe hands or what!
Gatwick tower was speaking so fast that day. Nice landing to the captain.
keep up the graeat work.
Thank you very much and will do!
el capitan ,copiloto ,trabajaba en otra compania ,lo tengo visto ,pero no recuerdo en cual ,buen video ,abrazo a cuidarse
I feel peaceful, confident. Just not sure if it's the extraordinary plane, the delicate flight or the soothing captain!😜
The A220 (CSeries) might not be officially Canadian anymore, but it has a Canadian heart!
Why are Canadian roads in such terrible shape? Because Canadian politicians waste our money on vanity projects such as the A220.
@@Cobourg01 all other infrastructure > roads
Thank you JP very cool 😎
Very welcome Arthur!
Great job guys👍
Thank you!!
Take care guyss
Brilliant 👍👍👍👍👍
Glad you liked it!
Very professional.
Great video. Good day
Glad you liked it Gerald and have a good day as well!
The a220 has some **T H I C C** cockpit windows
Nice video
Very cool video 😁
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you!
desde donde comienza el mundo ,Argentina abrazo
As a simmer always trying to learn more ( 😉 )I find these videos both interesting and useful; particularly, briefing phase in this video is so good 👍🏻
I lived in England for 4 years in the 90’s and I flew in and out of Gatwick several times. I preferred over Heathrow because it wasn’t as busy and I could also take the train directly to and from the airport and Peterborough to home.
Very cool and for sure Gatwick is a bit more relaxed place to fly in and out of.
Just Planes it was in the 90s. Not sure these days. Flew on Ryan Air from Stansted about 5 years ago and it was the worst. Completely packed and we were literally herded like cattle.
@@billbarton63 that’s just Ryanair for you tbh
This non aviator thinks the FO made one of the smoothest landings I’ve seen! Excellent! 👏✈️
Glad you enjoyed it!
He is a captian because he has 4 stripes
chicken eater 4 stripes doesn't necessarily mean captain. You could have two captains flying and one acting as FO. Or a senior FO with 4 stripes. It highly depends on the company
Bruno Danese no, 4 stripes is ALWAYS a captain. In this case he is a training captain probably doing training/checking or Air Baltic wanted to have some more experienced crew for this flight.
Where can I find the FCOMs for this aircraft? I have been searching up and down the internet and I just can't find them. I so want to learn about this aircraft's systems and flight computer.
Smoothest landing.
Canadian quality. great display.
Captain Gerhard is a natural communicator.
Hi. Great Video, thanks. Any particular reason for the Capt in the right seat, of is it an instructional flight? Cheers.
Wild Bill there could be two captains flying together. It does happen sometimes
Aviation 723 I would think that because he is the chief Pilot that he would take left seat.
Both of them worked on the certification of the aircraft, the Captain on the right is the Chief Pilot... so for our filming they agreed to both be on there together.
A220 is my new 2nd favourite airplane.
Do you set the autopilot on approach when setting up the aircraft? Like set the certain speed, the HDG, the VS and the altitude? And let the plane descend and turn by itself?
not really, you set the AP (auto pilot) on take off when you are about 500 ft above the ground. And the AP has multiple modes that you can change during the flight, for example, APP button, which catches the required ILS or RNP approach (gives you the track you need to follow :)) You'd be surprised how much you can program on what you want this airplane to do.
When approaching Brighton towards Gatwick you can see some red lights in the sea. What are they?
Bose headphones. The best!
A320 1988 ❤
(1) Was the Captain sitting in the Right-hand seat because he was training a another Captain sitting in the Left-hand seat (the normal seating position for the aircraft commander)? (2) I noticed that the Gatwick runway ATC referred to you by your old name, 'the landing Bombardier', which is probably clearer than 'the landing A220' (7:41).
John Dean yes I was thinking the same thing. He is also the chief pilot so I would assume he would always take the left seat.
Captain on the right is CHief Pilot and indeed training and check flights result in 2 Captains flying together sometimes.
I hear these are quiet, what is average DB noise in the cabin when in flight?
I flew on YL-CSA
a220♥️♥️♥️
B787 cockpit style ❤️
No
What cloud pack plugin? link pls
Thanks Captain for a check. I fly rather faster. Amazing
What date was this filmed? So sad to see Monarch now not with us.
Was filmed almost 2 years ago.
I love the flight marshalls. That is what make us one....
One of the things about the Airbus fleet that always has me wondering is the use of the sidestick as opposed to the more traditional yoke. When sat in the captain position, does the stick being in the left hand take much getting used to? As an avid flight simmer, using a yoke for flying heavy metal and a stick for fast jet, the stick position feels more "natural" in the right hand.
Robert Young when you fly with the yoke as a captain during approach and landing your left hand is on the yoke and right hand on the throttles so it’s not too different anyway
It does take adjusting too but it is manageable.
If you learn to fly a real plane like a Cessna, you'll learn to manipulate the yoke solely with the left hand, as the right hand has to stay on the throttle, especially during takeoff and landing. I'm a flight simmer as well and I used to fly with my right hand and use the left hand for throttles like you but I started taking flight lessons and eventually got used to flying with the left hand (now when I flight sim I arrange my control setup backwards so the stick is on the left and throttles are on the right just because it's what I'm used to now).
That’s how basically every pilot flies…left hand on the yoke, right hand on the throttle, etc…assuming you’re in the left seat. Of all the things that take getting used to in aviation (steep turns being the biggest one for me) using the left hand on the yoke/stick is the least of it, really.
When minimums declared does that mean decision whether or no to go around is set?
The audible "minimums" call is manually entered into the flight computer, taken from the applicable approach chart. It is the minimum altitude allowed for the particular approach you're flying...if you do not see the runway ( or other visual cues ) at that altitude, you must immediately discontinue the approach.
Does a PIC on a sidestick aircraft might opt to sit on the right seat if right handed?
No
Do you get angry if somebody doesn't leave enough fuel in the plane when you get in?
Now can anyone explain why the guy on the right seat is wearing 4 stripes : that's a captain ! Is this flight crewed with two captains ? Or did the first officer seat on the left seat ?
As the aircraft is still very new to them, they proably want captains very familiar with the aircraft before letting them fly with less experienced first officers. Make sense if you ask me.
I think he just wanted to take eight seat. He is the chief pilot so he could’ve taken left seat if he wanted I think
Both are Captains. The Captain on the right is the Chief Pilot.
Hey, you could see my house on this video!
Do the airbrakes operate automatically upon landing ?
Pretty sure they would have to be set to deploy.
They are armed on approach and when the gear touches the ground they deploy automatically
You know it's not a Boeing when it has some gorgeous instrument / cockpit.
787 would like to have a word with you.
Is that jetliner really that quiet ?
No more Monarch or Norwegian plus BA & Virgin won’t be seen much at LGW post Pandemic, i wonder who will fill all the vacant slots ?
why the captain is on the right seat?
Cockpit reminds me of a350
Monarch planes still flying - or leased out?
ray hughes this was filmed 2 years ago
North up track on the (no.4?) display unit/MFD. The horror! Some guys and gals like it that way though. To each their own I suppose.
That is only in PLAN mode
When is this video from? The Monarch disappeared many years ago.
Juan Carlos Galindo Galacho not 100% sure but probably this video was recorded in the beginning of 2017, just after AirBlatic got their first A220. The Monarch Aircrafts we see here are most likely being operated by the companies who got them after Monarch went bust, e. g. Thomas Cook
This was filmed in 2017 just before Monarch wend under.
@@justplanes Okay. I do not mean by this that it is wrong, you make very good videos, keep it up, greetings.
Flying the a320 isnt going to feel the same from tomorrow. Cause I'm jealous ...... SIGH...😐
Monarch still there!
They ceased operating in October 2017. I think this wasn't filmed recently.
Was filmed in 2017 just before they stopped flying
Manda um olá aí pra min .
A plane has landed in the UK?
This is an older video judging by the fact there are Monarchs at 12:50
This was about 2 years ago
Why is the captain sitting right??
that must be quite an old recording... You can see Monarch planes
Why is the captain on the right?
He is training the other captain on the new plane, like a check ride 😊
Sometimes 2 Captains fly together.
Airbus??
Thats a good landing......
aahhhh i see monarch there! makes me so sad :(
Agreed
Right seat pilot definitely wearing his headset the backwards...
A bit scary flying through clouds. Not knowing if you’re gunna bump into another aircraft 😬
Every airliner is equipped with TCAS.
That’s what ATC and TCAS is for
What a silent airplane, quite impressive
LGW isn't really single Runway.
pilots upload your videos about UFOs
Why you did not showed captains face 😐
Damn the Captain is an F.O ooo
Why do the captain sit on the right
Sometimes two captains fly.
Not a new vid re monarch on stand
I will always view this as a Bombardier C series, not an Airbus.
Must of been a old video as Monarch are still around
I feel bad for bombardier );
Why does the F/O put his Bose A20 the wrong way ?
They are backwards, arent they? It’s super easy to switch the mic to the right side if you’re in the right seat, but it looks like he just flipped the whole headset backwards… which wouldnt fit on your ears anymore. I’m confused lol
Sad seeing all those Monarch aircraft
RIP Monarch
