  • You are 100% responsible for the image you curate on social media. If you post images objectifying yourself, expect that others will also see you as a sexual object. A lot of athletes that are just as pretty and talented don't have these sorts of issues because they don't post content of this nature. She needs to decide whether she's ok with it, and if she's isn't....change her online image to focus on something other than her looks and body.

    • some people just post themselves for the sake of posting themselves. but that doesnt mean that they want to be harrassed. yes, the image she posts is her fault. but its not her fault that her "fans" come to the meet and harrass other athletes, thats completly beyond her power. There are other athletes that post their body online, but some get harrassed cause they dont fit the feminine petite body type, cause they have more muscles and buffer arms.

  • This is a tough one that kind of goes both ways in my view. It's true that women shouldn't be made responsible for how others act. Just because they dress a certain way doesn't mean they should be subjected to creeps, stalkers etc online. That being said, she posts provocative pics in various skimpy outfits with the knowledge that these sorts of people exist and are watching. That sort of content will draw, not just wanted attention, but unwanted as well. In a perfect world, that wouldn't matter. The problem is we don't live in that world, we live in this one. There are a lot of sick people out there. My point is she's not new to this. She knows the kinds of pics she posts will get attention, both good and bad, and she still does it. She wants more followers and those pics are a way to get them. Those same pics bring out the creeps etc. In the end, if it was too much, she would stop posting them and eventually, I imagine it would die off. But she continues to do it. I'm not saying she shouldn't, I'm simply saying she feels the pros outweigh the cons. But if you complain about it while you are doing things you know simultaneously attract it, then I have very little sympathy for you. This is just my opinion.
