And we showcase the latest Freyr & Devik moderators, available from Cluny Country. We are giving away £50-worth of Gun Dog Gin, David is on the news stump, and James Marchington brings you the best hunting videos on KZhead in Hunting KZhead. As a metal detectorist and having found many musket balls over the years including some ' massive ' ones , it was really interesting to see the Brown Bess in action . Much appreciated 👍
I really enjoyed the section on the muzzle loaded Brown Bess 😃. Having been involved in black powder shooting for some 51 years. The Brown Bess does come in a shorter version (a carbine). To aid shot patern, a thicker card top and botton of the fibre wad. The thin over shot card, should be softly place it on top of the shot. Thumping it down will change the shape of the shot and slightly change the shot patern. While it looks good to pour powder straight from a powder horn, it is not that safe! I have not seen one go off, but I have seen a primming flask go off while primming the pan, the guy lost fingers! While duck/goose hunting I have pre measured powder & shot. I also use my 12g ML at the Craigmore Stations beaters shoot. The cooking was/is great, I'll be trying that's for sure.
I did like that sound with loading that old flintlock, nostalgia
Very good Video about Mr. Wood. We got in touch with Muskethunting in the US an liked it very much. We didin't kow that its possible in the UK. Great 👍
Thanks for the mention, I wasn’t expecting that 😊 keep up the good work 👍🏻👍🏻
Whilst not a pheasant shooter for some years, when I was a regular shot or beater I once used a friends Pedersoli Brown Bess on a pheasant shoot, definitely achieved my most memorable shot on a pheasant with that gun.
I liked the Brown Bess Story; I would like to give that a go, I reckon it would be fun, your mate standing beside you with a battery operated fan, trying to blow the smoke away, a bit of coughing and spluttering and eyes burning, yeah I reckon it would be a hoot!
The loading of that Brown Bess was very much ASMR, great work as always 👍
Always interesting, and lots of action packed into each video. Thankyou 🙂
cooking in the wild 10:25 make me crazy 🤪🤗❤👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😋😋😋😋
Another fantastic episode,
British Muzzleloaders have much good blackpowder and Bess episodes. Suggestion, Aberdeenshire and Reverend Forsythe and his innovation that took it forward from wet bp loads in marshlands.
So keeping it on a SGC and using solid shot !
Fantastic footage as usual Charlie, and the boys😁👌love the programme.. Keep up the fight with these pathetic rules on lead bans,, these people need to just xxxxxxx and leave us shooters, farmers, conservationists, and country side lovers alone... We all know what's best for the sport and these🤡🤡haven't a clue🤬,,,,, 😁👌❤️🇬🇧
Once again a great programme.Good to see another muzzleloader putting some game in the pot.Nothing like the whiff of burnt black powder in the nostrils. Thanks from Australia.
great show well done all
Great episode,👍
Muy lindas armas antiguas muy chebres para cazar
Con ese humo nose ve nada 🤣🤣🤣
20.24 mins in...loaded gun? under the arm of Ian Hodge and someone walks in front of it. Hmmmmm
it is under a shotgun Certificate. I would shoot heavy round ball and no one would know the diffprince even though I think you're limited to buckshot. You guys should do the u s model where that would not even be a firearm
Where did the screw's go
The wind got up and it worked better without them. High tech temperature control! / James
🇪🇨🇪🇨👍
First 👍
bird flu is bollocks
Joe’s not exactly showcasing good practice there with a lack of eye protection (esp. with that type of gun).
First. Sorry Waffenland..
Haha
Gun dog Gin.
