I use an elite series two controller & bound clicking in the left stick to bringing up the icons. So I click in the left stick, and flick the right stick to pass. Extremely helpful on bailouts.
Right stick passing is another method of icon passing. You have less control than icons, but here you don't need to know the icon and it's typically more accurate then X/A passing. Also, I'm pretty sure I've had both bounce and love passes when using right stick passing.
Now put it on flashy passes and watch the magic
I've been using pro stick to flashy pass for basically a decade at this point. It gives you way more control over who you're throwing flashy passes too.
Thanks for sharing!
@@nba2ktutes for sure. Just want to help folks be better at the game P.S I've been asking the devs for ICON LOBS. For about a decade too and it would be easy to do just double tap the icon. It would be a game changer. Also wish they would add dunk timing with no meter and just always activate dunks via holding RT/2 and hitting box/X or the stick for more control over dunk style. The way the dunk timing is set up now is a waste of controls and limits what we can do. Basically make it like layup timing. Last but not least if we could get custom layup packages like dunk packages it would be dope. If we can get these ideas 💡 to gain some traction that would be awesome 😎 thanks.
@@aplacecalledlife7738So to throw flashy or lobs with RS you double tap RS?
@@trentonveselka2018 to throw flashy you go into your settings and change your directional pass from normal to flashy. To do a directional pass you hold R1/RB and flick your right stick in the direction of the player you want to pass to. As far as lobs I use triangle/Y.
Dope. Thanks @tutes
“Things are working on Blacktop” = I know what I’m doing 💯 Love your support to the community fam ✊🏾
I never knew that adding it to my arsenal
In order to have different passing animations there is a certain setting you have to switch. Like when you icon pass, you double tap someone’s icon to trigger bounce passes towards that player. Then if you use the pro stick, it will trigger the flashy pass
Found this out last year and it's a game changer. Not sure if this was in every single 2K, but bounce passes down the court to a specific player makes outlet passes so much easier and cooler
The best passing is "pass type control" icon passing. I like being able to bounce pass or lob to my icons when necessary. It's great
How do you lob with it I thought you could o my bounce pass by double tapping the icon
@@jayds4923 lob pass is the overhead pass not an alley oop pass You do it by holding the icon or triangle/y That’s what I’m guessing they’re talking about because you can’t throw alleys in icon
Can you test or provide feedback on this… when you go for a dunk and get knocked out of the animation, what stat determines the chance of it going in (Layup, Close shot, or Dunk)??? 🤷🏾
If its driving dunk, then layup, if it's a standing dunk then close shot
You shoot do a video on tendency if you have a higher dunk rating than lay up will u dunk more
Been doing this
Being 💯% honest, RS passing gives you more control on WHERE the pass goes. Directional passes are hit and miss, but RS goes where you aim (for the most part).
Thanks for sharing!
It speeds your clock up.. pass to direction instead of waiting to see what button that player is.. and hold A for outlet passes!!
Thanks for sharing!
What does holding A do?
@@trentonveselka2018pass to the farthest guy
I’ve never tried pro stick passing. Will it affect my other moves I use the stick for like hop jumpers and meter dunks?
You have to hold down RB for it to activate. So no.
@@trentonveselka2018 thank you
Can you test right stick steals without right stick ripper to see if there’s still an advantage or will be best just to use square
It’s a badge for it so right stick steals will always be better
Icon goes where you want it
I’ve been using pro stick pass as a flashy pass for some years, other than that gonna be icon pass 💯
With my 33,33,33 method I have no need for the pro stick.
My pro stick always passes it to the wrong person when I’m in the post it’s annoying asf, it’s goated in transition tho
Have to go to your pass settings and slide it more towards directional and openess
Thanks for sharing!
This video is wrong. Sorry tutes but there’s a major difference you haven’t covered. You can pass 359 degrees other than the direction you are heading to. And that’s just impossible with A/cross button passing! You can do it with icon but you’d have to remember and know the icon of those around you.
Yes you can pass in front of you lol, just use the jump pass, it’s literally made for that exact reasoning.
I see what you mean but you can include that on the "phyiscal" aspect of these pass styles. What I'm trying to debunk in this video is that these pass styles don't offer different pass speeds or different animations as there's a lot of viewers believe that.
@@markuskidd546 I didn’t say in front that’s why I said 359 instead of 360
@@nba2ktutesthat’s true. But there are still uses beyond convenience of button preferences such as passing being you while continuing to run forwards.
Remembering the icons is not difficult. Just know who is at what position. I know my SF is leaking into the corner, quick r1+square before he gets there. Icon passing is the way, stick passing for flashy passes.
I’ve been gate keeping this all year but it is true. I use pro stick flashy passing with 90+ PA. You get the best passing animations everytime. Definitely the reason I’m a pure PG this year
Thanks for sharing!
My guy always behind the backs it into the defenders. But when special delivery pops off it’s wet
@@Eskeletor_210 It helps if you align your shoulders with the passing lane. If an opponent’s shoulder is in the pass lane, then the pass will typically rely on a needle thread pass. Pro tip: adjust your passing sliders from less “openness” and more “direction” when using this method of passing to avoid sending it into defenders.
So how do u activate flashy passes with pro stick? And what settings do you use?
@@Itzdaydaybtw I guess the cat is out of the bag so I can drop the secret sauce. Change the pro stick passing from default to flashy. Then alter the sliders to 65 Direction, 30 Openness, 5 Distance. These setting will allow you to flashy pass accurately in a 5v5 scenario to pretty much any teammate. Have fun & I do recommend at least a 92 PA for this!
