Thank you Mr.Wagland. You are, in my mind at least, the definitive voice of this marvellous world.
I'm addicted to these. It so relaxing. I have bad insomnia and it really helps chill me out. Thank you
Beautiful narration that leads you to the Victorian era of Sherlock Holmes.
OMG! I read this again last night. Your performance is mind blowing! It's a great story and with your astounding talent, this story has become one of my favorite Sherlock Holmes stories now. Just wonderful! Thank you for sharing.
Yet another Holmes I don't remember. Well done. I truly enjoy and, appreciate the narrator. Thank you.
Cheers Granny.
Your voice is perfect for these stories. Thanks for the effort you put in to making these characters come alive.
My pleasure! Thanks for commenting, cruisepaige!
The best narrator for Sherlock Holmes stories on You Tube.
Cheers Gary!

An interesting story well narrated, I am really enjoying these programs, thank you for posting.
Thanks Colin. Don't let it throw you off your stroke. Brilliant art channel by the way!
"You look a little bewildered", said he. Classic Holmes.
It's been years since I read Conan Doyle. You've really captured the feeling of immense immersion I felt when I read these stories the first time brilliantly. Thank you!
Thank you so much for uploading these great sherlock Holmes stories
This is soooo well read and it is read in such a way that it attracts you to the story and never leave it
No matter how many new versions and dramatisations of these stories I hear the Conan Doyle original stories are scintillating in detail and a great piece of work, and as Lucy says so well read.
I love all of these
I think this may well be my favourite Sherlock tale. You can't beat a good back-story, and what a tremendous one this is! Exemplary narration as ever Mister Wagland. Doffing my cap to you sir. Have a great lockdown Christmas.
I hope not to! Cheers Richtea!
❤❤
Good reading. Most people and younger folk think Sherlock is just some sort of dorky old-timey decteive but no way. He was a bad ass dude. I've always been a fan of him and just got back into reading Doyle's books again after a long time. I'm going to watch all the Jeremy Brett series again too, he Brett's Holmes was just how I pictured Holmes in the books to be.
Yes, Jeremy Brett takes gold in 'Most Like My Conception of S.H.' competition every time.
A very enjoyable story narrated superbly by Greg Wagland with a good sound quality.
Ta Christine
Thank you! So well done.... 😍
This was an enjoyable new story for me. It was wonderfully written and wonderfully read by a wonderfully talented narrator, Mr. Wagland! 😊
Thank you Deb!

Glad you did, SL!
Sir, I’ve read almost all the Sherlock Holmes canon , simultaneously listenining to your wonderful audio recordings. Thank you so much for sharing . I almost feel guilty for listening to these contents for free. But please keep on recording more, especially Victorian writers.Greetings from Turkey👋
Thanks for listening, Cihan. Glad you are enjoying them - I'll keep putting them out there. Where are you in Turkey?
@@sherlock_holmes_magpie_audio In Istanbul. I’d be happy to have you here sir, after covid ,of course😊
Thank you very much my Dear Fellows for this Lovely work.... Sherlock: Good Job Mate🕵🏽
Cheers Jennifer!
Fantastic as usual.... Best collection on KZhead...
Interesting ... the details made me feel I was on that ship. Again, so well written, and so well read.
Conan Doyle was an absolute genius. His ideas about crime scene investigation was revolutionary. His descriptively vivid writing style managed to bring the central character to life. I listen to these stories to enable me to engage in time travel of the mind!
Lucy Smith @a?
"Puckered eyes". Perfect imagery, lol.
Mr. James Convict Armitage convited and sentenced to transpotation to Australia circa about his 23rd birthday at a time when sentences 30 years earlier were harsher. The year 1855, (29.00). So the narration appears to be 30 years on from 1855 in the year 1885.
I just listened to the Benedict Cumberbatch version of the Holmes stories. I felt like it was cheating. 😂 hes ok, but you have got In my head, I just hear you as Watson. It just seems right as you narrate. Although gor me, there will only ever be 1 Holmes, and 1 Watson. Jeremy Brett and Edward Hardwick. You have become watson of the audiobooks.
😊😊
Me too!! I love these stories!
This is a most delightful story. As far as I know, 'The Gloria Scott' is the only case that gives a clue to the origins of that inquiring mind that is Holmes'.
Only way to sleep..perfect voices, interesting, and in a pitch that has the correct rhythm for going to sleep❤
Wonderful information! Thank you.
Wish there were more and more and more....
You may enjoy, if you haven't already done so, Stephen King's Sherlock Holmes story, The Doctor's Case.
Nicely read, thanks! 😊
Very faciniting.
Я надеюсь, что у меня хватит силы воли, чтобы прослушать всё от начала до конца :)
I hope you do!
Good God! This is a bloodthirsty one.
I have no recollection of it. I'll take your word for it.
Yes, wasn't it. Yummy!
Thank you
"The supply of game for London is going steadily up. Head-keeper Hudson, we believe, had been now told to receive all orders for fly-paper and for preservation of your hen-pheasant's life."
"Nutcracker jaw"...Doyle was a master
Magnificent
Your narration is nothing less than superb, I am enjoying all your stories. Thank you so much. ❤
Glad you like them! Thank you!
This yarn would make a super short movie.
Or a pair of socks?
Thanks
Kind of you. Thanks!
The European Otis Jiry! The best narrators ever! The narrator for Augusta Christie's stories is the best female narrator!
❤
Addictive
No more mention of the bulldog that gripped Holmes ankle. I thought he may have sorted out Hudson somewhere along the line. Maybe it was put down after the Holmes attack.
The Glory of Snot
Hey there! 👋 Saw your first Sherlock was posted 3/14/17, Pi Day. Three Point One Four (159 JOHN F. KENNEDY JR) Pi (25 DEANA/JACK) Juan (you at the time?) has called Diana "Deanna," which leads me to Inana Roman Goddess of the Moon. Maybe we'll see something 💥 3/14/23. Will we need earplugs? Love to all
Thank you Cynthia
how to download this with out a youtube premium account
Good question Bob. Anyone?
I email it to my self. and go from there.
There are KZhead to mp4 online converters, you can use those.
“loath” should be pronounced with a short “O”. (Perhaps this was in a different story, though.)
Bedtime, travel time n what not! Watson?
Visto 1/5/20
I much preferred 'The Gloria Stitz'
A catamaran as I recall.
Could you guys also try The Greek Interpreter as it is almost as interesting as the Gloria Scott and keep up the good work
Not one of my favourites, 'The Greek Interpreter' :-(
It is fine because you guys are still doing a good job and you guys should be proud of yourselves
I like that one too.
Mr Wagland your voice and reading style are public property now😆. Favourite or not, please read All of the Holmes stories to us. Please.
@@da1681 I fully agree! Best I have heard.

Impossible to follow this story, which is ridiculously convoluted. Gave up after 35 minutes. Not fun.
Ha!
