UK courts see the fair dealing defence usually only applies when part of a work has been taken such as small clips as per my youtube videos.
Reporting of current events
Under Section 30(2), fair dealing using any work for the purpose of reporting current events, with sufficient acknowledgement, is a valid exception to copyright. Photographs are excluded, however; Cornish, Llewelyn and Aplin write that this is "in order to preserve the full value of holding a unique visual record of some person or event" Please keep comments respectful.

    • D D Jay I just meant in the aspect of a direct tie. You are correct that there will always be a connection, not always on the best of terms, but as the countries grow up, and we as well for that matter, those bond do indeed grow tighter. I just think it’s crazy, from the outside looking in, that this is still even an issue. Let’s keep voting until we get the result we want! How about no.... 🤣 I thought we were taught that no means no? Well, not if your saying no to the E.U. That is 😂

  • The Conservative Party need to let go of their snobbery and ally with Farage. He's only offering an alliance on a TEMPOARY basis. And the thing is, Farage is a power in UK politics today and there is no escaping this fact. Seeing as the Tories are nearly out of allies I think they should take Farage up on his offer.

Helping Farage to obtain seats in Parliament is something that some Tories just can't bring themselves to do. Yet, Farage does have a point. A united 'leave movement' will be much more effective. The disunited and messy nature of politics would be kicked into shape with at least ONE 'political movement' that has ONE united goal and get's on with it....in this case, LEAVE THE EU.

  • The fallout between UKIP and Farage when they went their separate ways had me distrusting and going against Nigel. But if he hadn’t distanced himself from UKIP, he never would have been able to set up the very popular Brexit Party which, let’s face it, is the only reason the Tories have been forced to take Brexit seriously. Nigel is a brilliant politician who has yet again forced the government and the country into making decisions without ever being elected! He’s definitely earned himself a place in the history books as probably one of, if not the greatest politician ever!!!

And I think we are going to be part of the throes of that transformation, which must take place. Europe is not going to be the monolithic societies that they once were in the last century. Jews are going to be at the center of that. It’s a huge transformation for Europe to make. They are now going into a multicultural mode, and Jews will be resented because of our leading role. But without that leading role, and without that transformation, Europe will not survive." 2010.08.12
