It is not one of the best generations but it brought back something missing about the games and that was the mystery. The whole region is about exploration and while the game can't handle that, the idea is there: you start going around to Paldea meeting everyone and discovering but something feels uneasy about the region and not even the people that have lived there can tell you what it is. They talk about a mystery that has not been solved since ancient times and even after beating the game you still have more questions that answers.

Man im so hyped for indigo disc. I now realize teal mask was but a prologue, a setup to drive the story towards a massive climax. Just the fact that the league members alone have level 88+ competitive pokemon shows for a very promising and intense final chapter for scarlet and violet with some crazy battles.

Yes!!! Blastoise’ 3D model is finally fixed. I’ve been wanting this for over 10 years. His face is sculpted proper, his cannons are the correct size, and his shell (white trim) is now sculpted properly! Ho-Oh’s new model also looks nice!

He isn't a villain just because he worked hard to become the best trainer, if you're judging by looks other characters look similar like the new elite 4, there's no reason to believe he became a villain other than being thirsty for a villain, no one in this game has been a villain, also, all crystals are actually broken if you look closely, offscreen-cut or not.

It would be even cooler if Alder and/or Iris joined up with Geeta and helped her confront Briar, since the Blueberry Academy is on their home turf, Unova.

I did something similar in the first half of the DLC where I shiny hunted my whole team and could only use them for the story and they had to be DLC exclusive and no overleveling. My team wound up being: Weezing, Leavanny, Poochyena, Furret, Mamoswine, Mienshao.

I’m really excited to see that the returning legendaries seem to get interesting encounter methods and locations, rather than the “go do x for all of them” that was in USUM and SWSH

I mean, we don't know yet, ever since they added Legendaries to catch back in ORAS is the same, "go to x place and there's a Hoopa Ring, go to x place in Ultra Wormhole Ride, Go to the Tera Raid path, etc. Never tied to a side quest or similar

The Teal Mask was basically a bread and butter content DLC. Map expansion, new Pokémon, new items, returning things, small story expansion. Exactly what you would expect, which is why it was a solid DLC. Did absolutely nothing groundbreaking, but also nothing objectively worse than the main game

One thing I seriously hope about the legendaries is that they can be hunted cause that would be amazing! ❤️ And oh man, Keiran looks like he's changed quite a lot. I guess we'll have to see if there's a way to save him. But it looks like he's gone villain mode. Or maybs just angsty rival mode. Still, it's gonna be exciting to get to see all the gym leaders again, and how the story is going to play out. I mean, getting all these new mystery gifts has been a pleasent surprise too. Never even expected them to pull off a Dialga and Palkia Tera raid. Much less give out a Darkrai, even though you can get one in Legends Arceus, or BDSP if you managed to the Member's Card last year. Still, all these new things are amazing. 💜

Yeah figures that would be the case, and it is disappointing that they shiny locked 🔒 the legendaries able to be shiny hunted but.. Well, at least on the bright side, we still have a chance to get most of the legendaries in dynamax adventures in sword and shield and in Ramanas park in bdsp too. But seriously, game freak love taking the fun out of pokemon. They just love kicking us down about getting to shiny hunt the legendaries cause they don't have anything better to do. But I ain't too fussed, I'm just glad we got other games we can shiny hunt em in. After all, it gives us a chance to _shine_ 😂

KIERAN OH MY GOD THEY DIDN’T BUTCHER HIS DESIGN (imo) even though I love shy Kieran, I’m curious to see how his personality is in part 2. And time for a mini but obvious detail! Carmine seems to be concerned about Kieran, and in the crystal at the end she seems to be trying to call for Kieran. The Kiki she knows isn’t there anymore. And Kieran’s expression seems to be looking back at her with a look that seems to be ‘I can’t go back’. Or he could be looking at Terapagos and be like ‘more power- I need more power!’ Hopefully he doesn’t try to accidentally, eh ehm, accidentally try to maybe just plot on how to make us Fa Klawf.

It didn’t look to me like you could play as any Pokémon. It seemed like more of a mini-game with a special selection. I think they would’ve shown off more of the variety if it was truly a “play as any of your Pokémon” situation. Programming that kind of feature seems like it would be insanely complex.

I envision it where he sees his parent smile at him, then do the farewell gesture before vanishing. Always happy to see a positive comment like this one. Pokémon has definitely improved the offerings from their DLC compared to Sword and Shield, which is to be expected since that was the first time they ever tried it. The fact that both DLC stories are connected to one another is fantastic. When you consider that the next generation will surely combine the things Game Freak has experimented with recently (new battle system in PLA, wide open world and social links in SV, side-quests in Indigo Disk) there is plenty to look forward to.

Teal mask was basically there to set up kieran's character and add some more lore to tera crystals. Indigo disk is the real meat of the dlc

It’s not gonna be over till 2025 bc Gamefreak LOVES to release a new gen every 3 years it’s so dumb I wish they’d wait and have gen 10 come out in 2026 on the 30th anniversary of the series.
It is not one of the best generations but it brought back something missing about the games and that was the mystery. The whole region is about exploration and while the game can't handle that, the idea is there: you start going around to Paldea meeting everyone and discovering but something feels uneasy about the region and not even the people that have lived there can tell you what it is. They talk about a mystery that has not been solved since ancient times and even after beating the game you still have more questions that answers.
*Maybe a Rematch with the same graphics as Unova?*

Man im so hyped for indigo disc. I now realize teal mask was but a prologue, a setup to drive the story towards a massive climax. Just the fact that the league members alone have level 88+ competitive pokemon shows for a very promising and intense final chapter for scarlet and violet with some crazy battles.

Yes!!! Blastoise’ 3D model is finally fixed. I’ve been wanting this for over 10 years. His face is sculpted proper, his cannons are the correct size, and his shell (white trim) is now sculpted properly! Ho-Oh’s new model also looks nice!
I'm so glad I wasn't the only one freaking out about the improvement to Blastoise!! It's my all time favorite, they even gave him that bubbly, curled up snout like the og model in RBY rather than the sharper, triangular build. I'm so happy 😭

The very last part of the trailer had that picture and I instantly saw the update & was zooming in looking at the changes. I am so happy! I hope these models get brought over to Pokémon go too

I’m so excited for the Indigo Disk; it looks like it’s going to be great. I do hope Nemona, Arven, and Penny have bigger roles in the story, though. I missed them during Teal Mask.
They probably likely will come visit the player at the academy probably like the gym leaders in the same base location.
They weren’t in the Teal Mask since that was available at the beginning of the game, before you really built up a relationship between those characters.

He isn't a villain just because he worked hard to become the best trainer, if you're judging by looks other characters look similar like the new elite 4, there's no reason to believe he became a villain other than being thirsty for a villain, no one in this game has been a villain, also, all crystals are actually broken if you look closely, offscreen-cut or not.

It would be even cooler if Alder and/or Iris joined up with Geeta and helped her confront Briar, since the Blueberry Academy is on their home turf, Unova.

I’m really excited to see that the returning legendaries seem to get interesting encounter methods and locations, rather than the “go do x for all of them” that was in USUM and SWSH
I mean, we don't know yet, ever since they added Legendaries to catch back in ORAS is the same, "go to x place and there's a Hoopa Ring, go to x place in Ultra Wormhole Ride, Go to the Tera Raid path, etc. Never tied to a side quest or similar
These creation deities and otherwise vicious wild beasts are here because they want your snacks, and that to me is the charm

Facts. Teal mask was alright but after the main story I’ve been waiting to go back into Area 0
The Teal Mask was basically a bread and butter content DLC. Map expansion, new Pokémon, new items, returning things, small story expansion. Exactly what you would expect, which is why it was a solid DLC. Did absolutely nothing groundbreaking, but also nothing objectively worse than the main game
Let’s not forget that part 2 of this DLC is meant to replace a yearly Pokémon release around the holidays. They meant to put most of their efforts into Indigo Disk, just as they did with Crown Tundra.
I see why this game sold so well now, can't wait for the series to get worse

I'm Japanese, so I really liked Area Zero Part 1's fields, old folk houses, and festival culture, but I'm curious to know what other players thought.
I love the small town vibes and the festival is very similar to harvest fests here in California
The only thought I had was "I hope some cool new Pokemon are released which would come to Pokemon Unite". For me the main series died after gen 3 but Pokemon Unite still keeps me playing official Pokemon games.
So stoked!!! Can't wait to face Kieran again, and see if he did indeed get stronger 💪

Still, it's gonna be exciting to get to see all the gym leaders again, and how the story is going to play out. I mean, getting all these new mystery gifts has been a pleasent surprise too. Never even expected them to pull off a Dialga and Palkia Tera raid. Much less give out a Darkrai, even though you can get one in Legends Arceus, or BDSP if you managed to the Member's Card last year. Still, all these new things are amazing. 💜
Well even if you don't care about saving him, that's your own way of going about it and that's fine. But I'm hoping to help him because I do care about him. And while we all have our own Canon things, I think the story is bound to change, so I think whatever happens from here on out, whether he does redeem himself or not is gonna be something we'll have to see. Yeah figures that would be the case, and it is disappointing that they shiny locked 🔒 the legendaries able to be shiny hunted but.. Well, at least on the bright side, we still have a chance to get most of the legendaries in dynamax adventures in sword and shield and in Ramanas park in bdsp too. But seriously, game freak love taking the fun out of pokemon. They just love kicking us down about getting to shiny hunt the legendaries cause they don't have anything better to do. KIERAN OH MY GOD THEY DIDN’T BUTCHER HIS DESIGN (imo) even though I love shy Kieran, I’m curious to see how his personality is in part 2. And time for a mini but obvious detail! Carmine seems to be concerned about Kieran, and in the crystal at the end she seems to be trying to call for Kieran. The Kiki she knows isn’t there anymore. And Kieran’s expression seems to be looking back at her with a look that seems to be ‘I can’t go back’. Or he could be looking at Terapagos and be like ‘more power- I need more power!’ Hopefully he doesn’t try to accidentally, eh ehm, accidentally try to maybe just plot on how to make us Fa Klawf.

Feel free to crucify me for this, but I honestly don’t think Scarlet and Violet’s bugs are that bad. The games certainly aren’t perfect, but everyone makes them out to be practically unplayable even though all they have is a few little glitches that I honestly barely notice unless I’m looking for them.

It didn’t look to me like you could play as any Pokémon. It seemed like more of a mini-game with a special selection. I think they would’ve shown off more of the variety if it was truly a “play as any of your Pokémon” situation. Programming that kind of feature seems like it would be insanely complex.
I’m so excited to go deeper into area zero like the crystal tree and hallways look really cool. Wonder if there will be hints to a civilization down there. The music that accompanies the trailer fits so well and adds a level of excitement.
They need to tell us what happened to the AIs at least.

I envision it where he sees his parent smile at him, then do the farewell gesture before vanishing. And he gets up and you see him from behind and it looks like he's sobbing, and maybe he is, but when he turns around he's smiling gratefully.
I don’t often comment on KZhead videos….But I’m extremely excited for this one. Get to bring back some of my favourite Pokémon I collected over the years to join me in this DLC. I’m also excited for new Pokémon to catch and explore this new area. Been playing since 2006 when I was 14. Amazing that how Pokémon games have come along the way!!!
Always happy to see a positive comment like this one. Pokémon has definitely improved the offerings from their DLC compared to Sword and Shield, which is to be expected since that was the first time they ever tried it. The fact that both DLC stories are connected to one another is fantastic. When you consider that the next generation will surely combine the things Game Freak has experimented with recently (new battle system in PLA, wide open world and social links in SV, side-quests in Indigo Disk) there is plenty to look forward to.
