One thing that has always amazed me about Andrews videos is the dogs and how they instinctively know to stay out of the way of the heavy equipment.
The film crew uses stunt dogs for the scenes with heavy equipment.
Dogs either have that instinct or they don't last. It is one way or the other and they do not seem to be able to be trained before it is too late.
Levi taught them.
that equipment could certainly be the end of them

I can faithfully say that, since getting out of the agri mechanic game years ago, tire fitting is the one job I miss the absolute least. Your perseverance is commendable Andrew. The amount of times you thought that dumb circle of rubber was just taking the mickey out of you trying to mount it on a rim, then for no other reason than "it was board now" it would pop on after you doing nothing different for the past hour never got any easier to bear
У чувака крыша над головой ,светло и тепло.Проделал бы он за 300 км от населённого пункта- зимой в -30'.Похвально было бы.😊
I'd say 80% of the issues of getting the tires beaded was because they were so cold, if they had set out the sun in the summer they probably pop right on. Next time instead of the ratchet straps, which I use all the time when mounting smaller tires, maybe try a ratcheting chain binder to get a lot of pressure on it. Love the videos. Keep up the good work Andrew.
You can’t really use ratchet binder on a job like that because it bends the screws. A chain puller on the other hand would probably be fine.
@@hunterwebb9697 good point. I've never messed with big tires, Just small car and truck tires so ratchet straps work fine. Some way of getting a chain around those big tires I think would really help squish them out to the beads.

I just love Andrews tenacity and determination to get the project at hand completed with the tools/equipment he has on hand. I'm a couple decades older than Andrew. Anyone else in their 50's or 60's watch his videos and wonder how Andrew's body is going to feel when he's in his 50's due to all that hard, physical labor he's doing today. It's crazy how we can wear out our bodies in our youth and not realize it. We then pay for it when we reach our 50's. You see pro athletes in their early to mid 30's still in good shape playing their sport. Then you see them 20 years later when they reach their mid 50's and they walk like they are crippled. The joys of aging! Andrew, you should consider throwing out those undersized 16 or 18 gauge extension cords you're using. Then go pick up some 100' 10 gauge extension cords so your don't burn up anymore of those amp thirsty power tools like that sawzall.
Ain't that the truth...LOL...
Exactly, I was strong as a ox in my younger days, but when hitting 50 it started going downhill, joints and back pain, everything start falling apart more and more every year... Now at 64 I feel like 80. But that's life. 🙂
I am 40 something now and spent a better part of my youth doing hard labor. I have since retired and no longer do the manual labor and I can tell you the effects of hard work. I have back pain and neck pain and very stiff. Yet I do know a lot of people in their 70s 80s 90s still doing work everyday. One person I know still goes out and splits wood and he is in his 80s.
Man this guy knows what he is doing even in the cold. And for sure he is fit…puts elbow grease in it when required. But uses his tools smartly for sure. Can’t say I am that fit anymore.
He seems to have no idea what he is doing, what are you talking about. He spent hours trying to inflate a tyre using his stupid air contraption, when it's clear it's going to just blow air outside the tyre. He finally realises you need to put lighter fluid in the tyre... but then didn't even have the air hose connected to the valve 🙃
How beautiful was the clip of his dogs running beside the atv... simple pleasures of life.
At first I thought skidder was useless for Andrew, but in the last few videos it seems the only thing that can drive up and down without getting stuck
This project has become so much more complex. I really appreciate the different perspectives from your buddies on their channels.
I recently read that dogs that stay outside a lot tend to live healthier longer lives. Your boys love the environment you've provided them.
Love the dogs sitting there with a toy as Andrew is busting arse trying to get the first tire over the rim!

You are very creative and love to see your work "outside the box". I learn from you, not to give up for sure. I am surprised you did not make a "pry bar" with a curved lip that slides the tire off, unto the back side of the rim. It does not require stretching the tire so much to get it over the rim. You sure have a strong work ethic!
A tire spoon
when you got the last tire on "i got it " your face said it all brilliant !! you never give up Andrerw well done .
This man’s work ethic blows me away I mean he never stops
If you don't do it, it don't get done!
I admire your patience and tenacity in all you do.
I have a tough time doing dirt bike and lawn tractor tires, this is just on another level!
Harder for sure. Small tires suck!
I would gladly change hundred large tires for every 5 small tires. Can't stand lawn tractor tires, especially as they get to 6inch and below.
Worst one I did was on a motorcycle...cx500 rear tire, dunlop. Wore me out.
What a performance! This is why God provided us with tire shops!
Nothing but the best. Thank you Andrew. Please be as safe as you allow it.
I have changed a whale of a lot of tires. The first tire you took off, you needed to loosen the backside before trying to remove (the bead should also be well above where it seats, so you may have to prop up the back side a little with some small bricks close to the rim, to keep it loose) and put grease on the bead and just beyond the bead on the inside, the tools were correct. The second one, you got the backside loose but gave up fast and just used the saw, but it probably would have come off with a bit of grease or dish soap. Getting some air sucked out of the innertube might have helped a little as well. When they get filled with water, that is real hell. I assume that happens when someone takes the valve core out when it is underwater. I just get the aftermath. Sometimes clowns glue the tires to the rims. When the boss wants to sell the glued tire used, that is incredibly difficult to get loose intact. To put air in the new ones one you need to set 2 other tires with air in them about a foot apart on the ground, maybe a little further. Then you set the tire you are trying to fill straddling them, like a bridge. It should not reach the ground. Then you put pressure on top of it for a third point. Any of your tractor shovels would work great pushing down on the top (and it still should not reach the ground). Then just fill, with the valve core out. Put back in when it is sealed and the tire has moved to the correct seating position on the rim. Those dang straps rarely work because at the same time they bring the outside toward the center they also pull the sides in.
This is why I respect Andrew. I would have brought it to a guy to do this for me. His patience is incredible.
But his goal is to produce an interesting and somewhat challenging KZhead video that all of us will watch, not to change the tire.
I swear - Andrew Camarata is my favorite form of entertainment. I actually anticipate his next video - and when it hits - I hope it's a long one.

1/24/23; ...2day: new tires for the Roller. Wow! Sooo much heavy lifting, heavy duty equipment, almost nuclear 💥 explosions to get new tires on rims in your Castle Shop...but Andrew's tough work ethic prevails. Dogs get bored watching Andrew struggle & take a (long) hike...but AC succeeds with dogs recovered & ultimately (in snow & ice) tires get mounted with help from Dumster Dave & his dog/twin to AC's Blue. Amazing how watching dogs in freezing cold play while AC works in snow makes video ending 'warm & cuddling' 😊 Another great video Andrew! 👏👏 Glad you bring a 'buddy' along during these 'work on the mountain' activities👨🔧...steep slopes, slippery ice, heavy equipment, tools etc. Stay safe & carry on!👍👍👍😊🫕🍷

My late brother always wanted me to make videos of my relatively trivial projects, but it always seemed like too much trouble for the one viewer I would have had. And if I ever tried something like this, not only would I have probably never finished (lacking anything larger than a floor jack), I would have needed to dub the entire audio track, to get rid of all the cussing. I'm impressed that Andrew stays so calm. I'm sure he must occasionally lose his temper, but the videos show plenty of things that would have me throwing stuff (which surprisingly, never helps).
"I had two tires..." 🤣 Seriously, it looked like it took most of a day to get those tires mounted, but you never let them kick your butt! Awesome determination.
Wish I knew you were taking on this project ahead of time. I have all the good stuff to mount tires like that. There is a mounting compound, looks like grease, for those tires. I have really good inflation fittings, mounting lube and everything else you could need. Mounting a cold tire is very difficult to begin with, the heater was a good idea. I’ll look for your P.O. Wow, these winter videos have been an amazing eye opener of cold weather climate issues. As someone who only gets a few light frosts a year, the issues of cold weather have never been a problem. So found it remarkable to see what the real cold does.
I'm in the upper midwest where we get tons of snow that usually stays. In area like he is, the wet winter can be brutal, mostly in a clay-ish soil area. It gets warm enough for some snow to melt, then it freezes and repeats, made worse by the clay.
It usually cuts production to about 50%.
This has been a really mild winter. No snow except man-made stuff in the Catskills.
I’m sure someone else has mentioned it but it would be smart to put some roll over protection on that packer. Normal use for a packer is on relatively flat surfaces but this mountain trail of yours is steep. I know of one person through my work, (I work in safety and have been around heavy industry all my working life) that died in a roll over while operating a packer. Drove it down into a steep ditch and it rolled on top of him. Just something to consider. Especially with how it got stuck on the way up and really could have got wrong quick. Back in the 70's I was enrolled in an automotive repair class at the Vocational School. When airing up a new tire on a rim we had a handy air hose gadget for help setting the bead on the rim. It was an adjustable woven nylon tube with an air hose fitting attached. The tube was cinched around the outer diameter of the tire and when the tube was inflated it constricted the tire causing the bead to expand (just like your rope around the tire). It worked very easily but I don't know if they are still available.
