Boss Fight Database its a shame there aren't any extra secret bosses in the remake. Are there?
None that anyone's found or mentioned in a review so it's very, very unlikely.
thank you andappreciate for play it for us!!!
It would be better if they added a 17th colossus that looks like a dragon

Shadow of the humans
@SkullH may be they shouls stop placing platforms on their body?
I'm sad they didn't replicate it here. The most important moment of SotC to me was at the end of the last boss, did you know that if you stand up on the hand in front of its face, it holds still and just looks at you, instead of attacking you? Just that one colossus, almost human, holding its hand still to contemplate the boy, who then has to turn, while it's still peacefully watching you, and betray it with a bowshot to the shoulder. Most impactful part of the game, to me at least.
I wish I could find a video demonstrating this, but I can't find a single one that does.

Shadow of the Colossus is one of those games that I intentionally DON’T play for several years at a time. It’s so good that I just want to savor it and never get sick of it.
Running away from that black stuff = the true challenge here
But always failed lol

Who would win?? Giant monsters with heavy rock armour Or Tini boi with sword and bow
That comment can sum up BOTW too. @-@
Kittymena Diane Pie I think the game developers for BOTW took some of the game ideas from this game, mainly the divine beasts and other bosses ig
That's like "David and Goliath: the video game"
They are enchanted/cursed weapons. The only ones that can break the curse that separated the demons into colossi. He wasn't killing the colossi he was freeing the demons
yes
It's a rarity that we had an "anti-villain" as a protagonist
Now we know what a dog feels like when they just can't get rid of a flea.
Poor Agro man, think about it He helps you get to and sometimes fight the colossi, but he has to return to the temple by himself cause the tendrils don't transfer him back and how is he at the end of the game, he falls down a fucking ravine and somehow only breaks his leg AND HAS TO REURN BACK TO THE TEMPLE FOR THE CREDITS, WITH A BROKEN LEG

I absolutely love those flying colossus, especially Phalanx. Their designs are my favorite. Even the set for the battles looks amazing.
This game is so perfect. It has a deep weird haunting feeling. When I look into the Colossi eyes I feel sorta scared, it's really weird, but cool.
yes!! this is the exact feeling ive tried to explain, its such a new and exciting feeling. absolutely masterpiece of a game!
20:35 bro he literally just did a flip as he fell

I loved this game. I played through the entire thing and it is truly a masterpiece of art, fiction, battling story and love. I would consider this game to be the best of all time excluding link and the corona of time. The Colossus didn’t deserve to die in my opinion. They may have seemed bad and dangerous but we walked in their homes, attacked them and killed them. They had the complete rock guy to fight back. Malus attacked you on sight because you killed every other colossus and he was what’s left. I loved the ending and I think everyone should play it at least once.
This should've been called: "Shadow of the Colossus without the traveling"
Ikr? Just the traveling is way more than 2:43:08
It's still a good chunk of cutscene.
Shadow of the Colossus but Wander doesn’t wander.

When I was like a toddler, I watched my dad play this on the ps2, and I got a nostalgia rush when I saw Avion (the flying colossus) for the first time since.
Dis you notice that with the new sound effects, the colossi make noises that sound vaguely like the creature that they are supposed to be? That’s so cool and I never could hear that on the PS3 version
Same im play at ps2
They should have call it the slaughtering of the gentle giants...

After playing VR for a while, I began to wonder how freaking amazing this game would be if it could remaster for VR! You be looking up a lot because these colossus is huge!
Ugh, please, no freakin VR!
If I remade this game. I would make it longer, make the monsters different from each other then looking like fur and stone, and add enemies to fight before you actually fight the monsters
@@tenaciousstudios03051 Why not it's a good idea
Imagine how freaky it would feel, being in the water with Hydrus.
This remake is gorgeous and amazing in almost every way, but the trophy notifications feel so tacky. It pulls you out of the moment and really detracts from the most emotionally impacting parts of the game. They should have moved the triggers to after the cut scenes.
You can do that from the console settings
You realize you can just manually turn that off right?
Chef_Fiend hahahaha damn really
That's not the game's fault. You can turn trophies off.
i played this game on ps2 and on 35:44 was the moment my wife got hooked in video games for good.
Best collosus
Avion was the first really fun fight, at least for me. The first two were basically tutorials, Gaius was fun but kinda janky, and Phaedra was straight up annoying. Avon's fight was a breath of fresh air for me.
That really is a testament of how badass this game is and how advanced it was for it's time and in general.
When you fight Avion you feel like you are straight up in a movie
14:31 What the spider in the corner of my room sees when I get up in the morning
Awe-inspiring. It's like watching a movie version. No commentary, just the game and not too perfect either.
why do i feel bad for the giants? D: the ending dying voices get me everytime
When Gaius is dying I actually laughed because you can see Wander falling off his head lmao
rofl I had to click back to that boss fight to watch. He was also stuck to his head for a moment just flapping around until gravity finally yoinked him off the screen. xD

Every boss in this is a work of art, from mythical design to naturalistic animation to overall flow
Watching you try to run/escape from the tendrils of Darkness and calling out for Eros, good cinematic choices bro.Really adds to an already good video/playthrough.
You know, what i like the most about this channel is the relatibility factor. He doesnt use the most powerful weapon thats super hard to obtain, difficult combo with high skills, or any shadowy trick. Like watching a friend playing the game casually. And thats very relaxing
satria amiluhur you don't get any other weapons in sotc
Yes you do, just look at the Time Attack and Hard Time Attack rewards
Nutty Boi oh ok
Lol, in some Dark Souls bossfights they have used the most chaotic heavy armor and weapon builds possible
Nearly every battle here would be like a dope final boss in any other game
One of the most absolutely amazing experiences I've ever had. And that was on the PS2.
FUN FACT: Dormin (which is “Nimrod” spelled backwards) may be a reference to the Biblical king Nimrod. When Dormin says “Thou have severed our body into 16 segments”, this could be referring to when Nimrod was cut up and his body scattered throughout the land, though Ueda has gone to say the similarities are coincidental.
Jdurr94: The Gamer So my first question would be how is that a "fun fact"?
Possibly because Nimrod also means both "skillful hunter" and "dumbass"
That is very interesting
What you are saying is a true fact but the way your saying it is like a theory
Which part of the bible is that from?
Man that final boss though It wasn't epic, it was just evil, the music, the setting, it was fantastic
15 years ago I tried to play this game and never finish it, thank you for doing my homework 😊👍
that moment when you are confused on where the camera is pointing and suddenly you see those blue/orange eyes...
Y'all know how those honey butter biscuits from Church's are so fucking good that, when you're eating them, you think, "There ain't no earthly reason for anything to be this fucking delicious," and yet, there they are, being the most delicious thing you've ever put in your mouth? This is like that. The 4K remaster of "Shadow of the Colossus" is the equivalent of a box of a half dozen honey butter biscuits from Church's. It has no business being so perfectly crafted from buttermilk and bleached flour and liberally drenched in artery-hardening honey butter (a universally-recognized euphemism for "a subtle and mysterious, yet emotionally charged and intimate, story now liberally slathered with the best graphics on the market"). And yet, here it is. Being all of those things I just said.
You win.
This.
Is there even any challenge to this game? Seems trivial at best
Neko Pyro first question, have you ever played It ? And second, as cliche as this sounds.. It really is all about the journey this game came out in 2004 and for what It has to offer it was ahead of its time. The story although Very little dialogue the dialogue that is there makes you bond with the main characters. This game plays with your emotions as It unknowingly makes You build a connection with your horse, even feeling for when It dies. He challenges these Goliath’s not knowing what he has really done all in the name of the woman he loves, each colossus you kill takes a toll on your physical health, and in the end when you thought you were the good guy, you were the inherently the bad guy. Each boss is different the way you all fight is different, it’s just an amazing game it’s a must have! I still have my Ps2 copy, if you get a chance to play it , play It you won’t regret it!
23 Savage i have both played (albeit I was little and beat like 3 before losing interest) and rewatched it. But still, most of these things seem like they want to die, unless that’s what the creators were going for, it really should have been improved. No animal will just sit there and let you stab it repeatedly and only give a half-assed flail as effort. Some off them have hands they don’t even make use of. I get they’re going for the whole “gentle giant” thing, but most things fight for their survival. I get the whole journey and why, but at least make the core gameplay of the game, fighting titans, an actual fight.
Looking back on this in 2019, this game was really well designed considering the fact when this game was made in 2005.
I like how the first colossus just cassually talks a walk then gets attacked for no reason
The soundtrack is amazing.
Argo returning to the temple in the end damn near killed me

There's not a lot of Colossus in this game there's only like 16 of them
The 4th Colossus looks like a giraffe
The 5th Colossus is a giant bird
I always wondered how Wanderer would end up a few yards away from the colossi corpse, then I saw him flipping through the air at 30:33. Lol.
Thank you for letting us watch. Was about to play the whole thing over. Then I remembered the time spent on the game. The developers should create saga for this game. It was that good.
Nostalgic game i played on ps2 now i saw it all in this video! Thanks a lot creator!
I've just noticed something at 2:17:33 The way Wander falls into Malus' hand as he jumps. I don't know about anyone else, but that little moment seems so symbolic. It's almost as if, knowing the scale of what Wander has done, he's trying to jump clear of Malus, and by extension the consequences of his actions. Only for the dark matter to flow into him as he tries to escape, and he collapses into the open, dead hand of the final colossus, symbolic of how he will forever be bound to his actions. Ever since he struck that fateful pact with Dormin, Wander is now forever doomed to be in the Shadow of the Colossus. Poor ungodly soul, indeed...
Actually.... You don't faint on malus hands you can faint anywhere after the dark stuff reaches you that's were you faint. Like me i jump off after deafeating malus i got taken by the dark stuff mid air so... Wonder fainted in mid air
I remember when i was 4 playing this game on my ps2 i was just running around tho because i was scared to go near the colossus 😂
Colossus: why are you runnin'? why are you runnin'?
TBH when i played this game the first time some days back i also did the same...
XD i couldnt even ride the horse 😂
Same except it was only uh.. what's his name? The turtle one?
He kinda sounds like link when he climbs and stuff
Melon Muncha I always think he's the PS version of Link
I remember when I first played this, dad walked in the living room with the 80 inch TV, and I could tell it blew both our minds for a big when I jumped and caught onto the wings and it lifted me into the air. My dad had not really played video games since super Nintendo so it's a BIG jump from that to feeling like you're taking down a massive flying colossus in such an organic way. Everytime I played the game he would watch, and this was one of the only ones he would prefer to watch instead of wanting to watch television. So he let me hog the TV if the game was this much fun to watch. It sucks that it has been what... 16 years? And that feeling of fighting the Colossus is still primarily in this game. Though people usually complain when a game tries to be a spiritual sequel to this beyond one or two boss fights. It's weird. I really want to play a SotC 2, regardless if the original studio makes it or not.
the music which played after defeating a colossus was so sad and comfortabling and made me cry once
Fun fact: The order of the colossi was once different early on in development- 1. Valus 2. Quadratus 3. Phaedra 4. Basaran 5. Hydrus 6. Gaius 7. Phalanx 8. Kuromori 9. Avion 10. Celosia 11. Barba 12. Dirge 13. Pelagia 14. Cenobia 15. Argus 16. Malus

when I remember this game I always cry because it stores a beautiful memory and the last part I was devastated. I hope I return to the past when the children and play it again. thank you for the memories
I love how there's weight, power and mass with everything they do. Something Hollywood gets wrong with big monsters..
I feel as though a very underrated and overlooked fact is that this was a PS2 GAME! It was so original and so beautiful for a game of its time.
It was one of, or maybe even the first, to introduce this kind of "boss climbing puzzle" concept. So not only was it beautifully crafted, but it was incredibly unique, and to be honest with you, it still is. I played this game as a child, and I do not regret it at all.
And they still can't make a good attack on Titan game?
Sad:((
RIGHT like sheesh imagine this like that but with maneuver gear
They have. They're called Wings of Freedom and Attack on Titan 2.
@@raidenthenctzenwithinsomni4961 It still is bad wym?
The was an online attack on titan game that you could play in the browser. Was the best by far.
To all the people saying they hate this game, without it the legend of Zelda BOTW maybe wouldn’t have had everything it did. I’m pretty sure they took the idea of making the divine beasts and some other of the bosses from this game soooo
True. Like, TELL ME SOME OF THE DIVINE BEASTS DINT LOOK VERY SIMILAR! There's the elephant/ Mammoth one, and it's resemblance is very similar to the second Colossus, and Vah Medoh looks a lot like Avion! Edit 1: I just realized Dark beast ganon also has the glyphs which take extra damage, much like this game.
I think main quests aside, the game wanted the players to enjoy a world that was so vast and detailed it would really take you to another dimension. I loved this game way back in ps2. Explored every corner. Glad they remastered it.
I really love this game and i love your video too
In this game you are the bad guy you are killing these magnificent beasts for you own selfish deeds and then become what you are: a monster

I like to that years upon years after the events of the game. People stumble across this long forgotten place. They see the ruins scattered about and investigate them. They clear away the dust, the sand, the dirt and grass. That's when they notice it. Most of the ruins are humanoid in shape. Those 'islands' are a bird and an eel. Much of the stonework resembles bones. They all have faces. They aren't ruins.
