Best video. Literally just done this today for my Dads S500. Tried the satellite module no luck. Turned out to be voice control module. Brought the jumper from Amazon, done as stated in video, perfect. Radio now works again. Just saved £100’s taking it to dealer to fix. ✅✅✅✅✅✅✅
Hello im here for help.i have a 2011 Mercedes benz s550 4matic.w221. When new the person before me who own the car opted for the bang & olufsen sound system. I have no sound in my car.. I run a scan and it says my satelite radio tuner was bad. I sent it along with the big bang & olufsen amp and also another long amp thatbis located on the left side of the trunk to a mercedes tech repair shop who told me the satelite tuner is bad and cannot repair so he got me another one and tranfer all the info. Also said my other 2 amps was good. I plug all items back in and still no sound. My voice module is not located on the side it is located under the dynamic seat pump beside the rear fuse box.also my voice module has no fiber optic going to it. I only have fiber optic going to one amp and the satelite radiio tuner. Also when i scan the car after plugging everything in i get no fault codes anymore. I dpnt know what to do. I still see navigation but fm/am dont work also cant play cd. I hear the changer run because i have cd in it. Buttons on steering wheel to control phone and volume, nothing. Please Please help.. I appreciate the video. My wife has a 2014 E350 and the Comand center is acting wonky and usually eventually ends up in some kind of endless reboot cycle or just shuts off entirely. I've seen other videos suggesting this fiber loop technique as a way to isolate the issue. I sure hope it's something we don't care about like the GPS / Nav unit or the VCM, or the Sirrus satellite reciever. I hear the amp or the CD changer can be the issue too. I've heard or read that if it's the amp, you have to install a replacement amp, you can't isolate that. And the CD changer probably involves pulling the dash, which I'd sure like to avoid.
Amp controls your audio. So you wont be able to hear anything. Replacement amp you can find it online (Ebay). For fiber jumping I would start with stuff that is easy to get to and also look for the water damage. Hope that helps.

Hi , my S320 Mercedes 2008 has the same issue, but the radio is working but with noise and I can't connect my phone and Bluetooth can't find the phone as well and not connected. Any idea please? Tnx
I think your amplifier is maybe going bad since you mentioned noise. As far as the BT goes maybe try resetting the system by isolating the power. Completely disconnect the battery and then try it.
Thank you Waqas, I think the amplifier is working well because when I use the DVD player there is no noise at all and it works well, do you think the problem is going to be with the radio satellite? Many thanks

Does adding a loop interfere with anything else, like not allow telephone or voice control to work?
depends what module is not working, if it is phone module then it will interfere.
@@waqasazmat81 thank you, what if it’s the Amp? Will it cause interference with telecom and voice? This electronic stuff is new to me.
Usually amp is related to the radio/entertainment stuff. I believe telematics will not be effected. Get a loop and isolate the amp from the loop. I am almost certain telematics should be okay.
@@waqasazmat81 I tried the loop on both the Amp and the HD and looping it to either one have me no sound.
What is the original concern with a vehicle? Usually when one of the module in a most ring bus is not receiving or sending out the light that would bring down the most system.
