Walking you through my very basic sleeping platform. I kept seeing complicated ones that require wood working hands. This was cheap, easy and simple.
If you want a more thorough video explanation, please make sure to leave it in the comments below!

This is precisely what I am aiming to do this year. Thank you for that great visual
easy to make, and worked just fine! This year I plan to add drawers
Bro! This is exactly what I was looking to do to my gx 🙌🙏
Simple and it works!!
Nice design.
Thank you! Well done 👍🏻
Hello from Russia! I have gx470 and sleeping platform exectly at you video! This is great auto ! Good luck!
Yes I love mine. Enjoy yours!
Dope man definitely got some ideas for my gx thank you
I'll be making a video soon with the full measurements.
I build pretty much the same platform for my gx470 and I love it.
Let's see it!
Great idea
We just used it again in glacier! It's getting to be too small lol but it works
What are those white plastic sliders? Would you have a link please?
This is exactly what I’m looking to build for my GX. Do you have the measurements you used documented anywhere?
I will try to make a video for it very soon!
Very cool! Looks like it was built by a pro. Nice job!
nice job! what are those sliders made out of? do they scratch your seats up?
They are like hard plastic window trims. And I always put a towel down to cover my leather seats
Is that 3/4" or 1/2" plywood?
Thanks for sharing; What year is your GX470?
It's a 2005
@yato can you please share dimensions
Looks great! What are the dimensions of just the sleeping platform?
I'll make another video soon of the entire dimensions.
yelo autosports Id really appreciate that. I’m debating buying on in the next day or two but could really use those dimensions to help with my decision. If you could also include the space between the platform and the ceiling that would be amazing. Thank you!
Can you share the measurement pls? TIA
@@janettecabauatan9292 I will make a video asap! Vehicle is currently in the shop
yelo autosports , can I ask what work is being done at the shop?
Did you ever get around to making that video with the dimensions??
Check the latest one I just made. Thanks for the reminder so that I could get off my butt and get it done!
How long does it measure from the back of the front seats to the gate when its closed. Thank you! I am 6 ft.
He’s 5 7
Ended up getting a GX and want to do something similar. How do you like the setup now that you’ve had it for a while? Do you find having no other leg supports on the platform that goes on top of the seats to be an issue? Or is it fully sturdy? Also any chance you have a photo of what the back side of the main frame looks like where you have the bolts that lock into the moveable piece?
I'll try to make a more thorough video asap! Please tune in soon for that. As far as no legs for the one that rest above the seats, 0 issues. Just use towels under the boards however to preserve your leather. Dont want wood against the seats
yelo autosports sweet glad this setups working out for you. Yeah I was going to just wrap the entire sheet on both sides with the carpet but might consider using a towel or something too. Hopefully gonna build one like this this week. Would love to see the new video if you make it in time. Thanks!
yelo autosports any chance you can tell me the exact height of the main storage area? I tried measuring today to see where it would sit level over the seats but it’s hard to tell, did you do 12.5”? I’m hoping to build this tomorrow, not sure if I can wait any longer for your next video! Thanks
@@Psilocy-ben My box is 11 3/4 inch tall, add carpet is about 12 inches. that is about spot on with the front seats
yelo autosports Okay cool, I measured a bit taller but I’ll probably do 11.75 then. What do you mean by add carpet 12 inches?
How tall are you?
5ft7
could you put step by step instructions please
There's another video I posted which shows dimensions and how i put it together.
why doesn't somebody just start building a bunch of these and selling them for $500 online, there's a huge community of people who suck at woodworking who would probably pay for them
That's not a bad idea. If the budget makes sense that would probably be pretty feasible.
How tall are you?
5ft7
