What's your grip style? Audio was screwed so I had to just scrub off a few mins worth of explanations/footage 😖
Palm for games like cs go, rainbow six, apex legends and fingertip for OSU
pincer claw
fingertip, because drawing(with a pen/pencil) uses arm, wrist, and fingers
Fingertip(I use mm710) or a variation of your grip.
Relaxed claw
grip reviewer arc?
Lmao it's either that or microwaves for the end of the year. Nothing happening with mice & I can't review any more cloth pads 💀
you should do the same @boardzy
boadsi
I've been doing the same grip for like 7 months and it's honestly the best grip ever . I got from iron 1 in val to sliver 1 in 1 act and from 20k in aimlabs gridshot to 60k a bit into using this grip.
Gridshot is a waste of time for valorant, try sixshot
@@asdfkjhlk34 it’s a nice literal warmup for the wrist and arm but yeah six shot better.
@@asdfkjhlk34 as long as you use it for a quick warm up, your good
this is how ive gripped my mouse ever since ive played games. when people started talking about mouse grips a lot around 2018, in terms of claw, finger, palm, I never knew what to call mine and even tried to change it a few times but always went back
I actually use the same grip pretty much... But for my hands i find the xm1 the most comforable/natural even though i prefer the wireless mice i have...
I'm actually using the same grip style - did serve me very well. I also enjoy it on smaller ergo Mice like the Sköll Mini or Prime Mini.
I have the same grip as well, I am using razer viper wired. However, I feel some tension due to it's shape. Right now I am consider a mice with 2 variations on size, I've watched your vids for Pulsar xlite and the v2 mini. With your opinion and experience with them, in which mouse size does the hybrid grip is effective? I have 18x10 hand size btw. Thanks in advance.
Instructions unclear, fingies stuck in toaster
This is actually the grip I used back in the days with my WMO. Shape is perfect for that grip.
I fully agree, people see some kind of pro use a certain mouse and/or grip and think that they have to do exactly that to have good aim. In reality I think as long as you stick yo something and keep using it over time you will find your optimal aim.
i use for ergo mice and g pro wireless pincer claw like elige does. for ambi (steelseries mice specially because they are tall, and often wider in the back) and g303 i use carpal stabilized claw.
Same lol, I ended up using this grip because my first proper mouse was a DeathAdder and it was way too big for me so I had to use this super aggressive claw grip, and it's stuck with me ever since.
This is very simillar to my claw/palm-claw grip with the g303 , except I don't need to force my fingers into that position , the mouse shape forces the grip by itself. You should do a review of the g303 wireless , I think it really suits this type of grip.
First discovered your YT from a podcast you did with Serious, since then I've been loving the content so wanted to say thank you for going into depth with all the reviews and tips for us in the community that are interested in these things :) I used to use a fingertip grip with a very similar look to this with an aggressive curl, but then I switched off a 58gram mouse to a 75gram wireless mouse and over a two week period I ended up holding my mouse like a cricketball/tennis ball. Front claw but ring and pinky curled all the way in like making a fist (similar to brax but front fingers closer to the buttons like Twistzz. I think it's because I apply a lot of pressure due to 173cm/360 sensitivity and my first mousepad was an extended pad so my whole arm and elbow is on the table since I started. A tip I'd like to give people experimenting with their grip is try hitting shots in a workshop map with different grips, different finger positions and holding the mouse at different points, your body and hand in time will give you subtle clues on what feels best and provides you with the best feeling of control. Don't be afraid to experiment and after you've found a grip you like after a few days you will feel like holding and aiming with your mouse feels as second nature as scrolling on your phone. As days go on your 90's will become second nature, then your tracking and eventually so will your microflicks. After a week or two you will be able to grip in the exact same positions by simply waggling your fingers over the mouse and your brain will remember the feel for what it recognizes as control
Thanks so much brother very much appreciated!
Do you like use your wrist at all? That is the highest sensitivity I have ever heard of
@@peterrusso7336 yeah I would say 90% of all my micro corrections are with the wrist still. I flick with the arm and micro adjust with the wrist for the last 15-20degrees. I don't really move the wrist on it's own and it's pretty much always in a straight line to my elbow. The further the target is the more I may use my wrist but at close range it's 100% arm and shoulder. In tactical shooters I use 173cm/360 (800DPI 0.3) and in Apex and Quake I use 130cm/360 (800DPI 0.4). It's mostly because I have a shaky wrist but coming from a bodybuilding background my arm doesn't fatigue just from swiping so the benefits outweighed the negatives of aiming this way as from the beginning I felt better coordination with my arm. Wish I could submit a handcam or something to show you, anything that increases the knowledge of our community ✅
Love the video, love the grip! Are you going to review the new Fnatic Streak65 LP? It seems to be a good pre-built keyboard for the price.
Maybe at some point when it's available for ISO Nordic layout!
I love this videos dude! They tickle my geeky brain! I do something a bit similar, but i use my palm contact as the friction ammount changer (geeeky brain engaged!!!) . When i change fingers position to change the ammount of friction, i tilt my hand a little bit (probably bad technique on my part), so i use my pink in the middle of the mouse instead of the top, and when i want smooth tracking i just lift my palm a bit. Gonna try this tho! Will be fun!
Really nice and accomodating explanation, thanks :)
Like i said before u grip the mouse like zywoo cause u have not friction withe back of your palm on the pad its like very smooth aim and the best way to track i think its the best grip also twistzz use the same one but more agrissve in the end nice vid i hope we see u play live on twitch
Haus, did you get a Veno S and if so, will you be reviewing it? I am considering buying it instead of rebuying a Viper Ultimate so would like to know how it compares (it looks like it's in between the RVU and GPW maybe). Thanks!
Yeah I got the Veno S, review in a couple of weeks!
I've been always gripping the mouse like that but my ring and pinkie fingers are flat like in Zywoo grip. However it doesn't work for me for bigger FK2-like shapes like Razer Viper, even the Gretxa sadly, gives me pains in the wrist. Edit: my grip is not exactly the same as my wrist touches the mousepad.
I can't do any grip other than fingertip but I'll try this!
I just switched like 2 months ago to this! G703/mm711 on a razer strider. Greatly improved my aim after about a week of adjustment :) also will you be doing an M4 wireless review at any point? Would love to see that.
I'll be reviewing the M4 Wireless for sure!
I've gotten back into PC gaming and I've been looking for a new mouse. The previous two I used were the XTRFY M42 and Endgame Gear XM1 with me preferring the XM1. It's close to my favorite shape for an aggressive claw with 18x10cm hands but I do think the sides taper aggressively and I'd like the grip width to be just barely shorter. I've used the Viper Mini before and adored it for fingertip but have never loved it for claw. I wanted to try something in between the two mice to see if I can use this claw grip. I'm torn between the S2 and NP-01S. The S2 seems like it'd be better for a traditional claw but NP01s looks better for this. Which would you recommend I get?
I think I answered to you on Discord! I'd get the S2-C to be safe
@@hausgaming Thanks
Might gonna give it a try, since i have a same hand size like you
Is this grip style better for low sens or high?
Welcome to the relaxed claw/hybrid-claw/hybrid-palm gang...it's been a thing for decades now (it's how I grip all of my ergo shaped mice)...with hands my size 20x11, I pretty much have to grip all mice this way anyhow, and it works perfectly with IME/EC1-2 shaped mice.
This is a bit different to standard claw or hybrid claw grips, as I have my palm resting completely on top of the mouse!
@@hausgamingtwistzz 😈I use his too
I have been looking to adjusting my mouse grip to help with pain I get in the right side of my palm from alternating to a palm grip when I use the mouse mostly for desktop use. I use fingertip grip mostly when gaming but I switch between these two grips depending on what I am doing and it causes me some real discomfort at the end of a session of using a mouse. This seems to be a result of me injuring my wrist and causing me to grip the mouse different and probably how I use it during that period. I main the XM1R for now and I am waiting for the XM2W and I also have a superlight. I tested this grip and both and I can play fine with them but as you say maybe it works better for the superlight and the less wide hump. So I am now rethinking my options for a new mouse to adjust to this grip style as I immediately feel it eliminates my right palm resting on my mousepad which is my main problem. I have been looking for 'the endgame' mouse this entire time to fix the problem for me but I believe now that it is my lazy palm grip style I alternate to that is to blame. I use the artisan hein as well if that helps. I would appreciate if you could help me with some answers to these questions. 1) If the XM2W is no longer the mouse I should be looking at to work with this grip then what should I be looking to try? (I have tried xm1r, superlight, deathadder v2 pro, xlite v2, kone pro air, m720. I'm 19x10 and prefer solid shell) 2) Do you use this grip for everything even desktop use? Wondering how long it usually takes to adjust to a grip style and it sort of stick over the old grip style? I want to get rid of that grip style once and for all. 3) Will an ergo shape help adjust to this style? I have tried a range of mice and I would say the xlite v2 was the hardest one for me to adjust to with my fingertip grip as there was no easy way to grip the mouse and the coating was not so good. 4) Lastly as someone adjusting from fingertip to claw style how do you keep the back of the mouse into your palm to hold the grip? Is there much force from the fingers and thumb to put pressure on and hold it in place? Perhaps this is to do with the superlight shape and it is harder to keep that grip.
1. Why XM2w should no longer be the mouse for you? I didn't quite understand 2. If I'm getting adjusted to a new mouse, I grip it the same way for everything and use it for work as well. After the adjusting period I just do whatever grip when I'm chilling 3. To the style I talk about in this video? Yes it might help, depends on the ergo. 4. It should happen quite naturally, do not stress about that too much. The overall message was a bit confusing. Is the ftip the one causing you pain or palm grip, or combination of both? If it's the ftip, then yeah try claw grip for a bit, you can use any of your current mice to test it, you don't need a new one. If it's palming your mouse causing the pain, just ftip all the time :)
@@hausgaming I will try make it more clear. Apologies it was probably written to some of the things you mentioned in the video. 1. You said in the video different mice that do not work with the relaxed claw grip style. The xm1r was one of them. I have the xm2w on preorder for quite some time but I am questioning whether to buy a different mouse instead as the relaxed claw grip does not work well with the xm1r after testing. I also tried the superlight and while the grip works it does not have the best shape for the relaxed claw grip. So do you have any idea of a mouse to suggest that would work for it better than these mice? I am happy to look for something now or a mouse that has just released or preorder for future product that could be good shape wise. 2. That is probably what I will do as well. I feel I am already moving towards the new grip now when I touch the mouse so it doesn’t take as long as I thought to adjust. 3. Yes the relaxed claw style and an ergo shape. Just wondered what style I should look for with this grip. I guess that relates to question one really it was more me asking if I should go symmetrical or ergo to suit the relaxed claw grip. 4. The fingertip grip causes me no discomfort in my palm. It is the palm grip that I revert to when not playing fps games that I am trying to avoid. I will probably replace the palm grip with my fingertip grip and use the relaxed claw as a test for now when playing fps games to see how my aim is. The reason I wanted to ask about the suggestions for mice is that the relaxed claw grip does not work with my current main mice the xm1r and the superlight. I could continue to wait for the xm2w and use the fingertip grip always but the relaxed claw grip might be easier to adjust to replace the palm grip that causes me the pain in palm as the relaxed claw grip will give me some form of resting on the mouse that the palm grip sort of gives but not in the way I want for comfort. If I decide to use the relaxed claw grip then the xm2w might be the wrong mouse for me overall even though it works well with my fingertip grip and the xm1r has been my main for so long. I hope this makes more sense lol.
@@jakf101 I'd recommend you just stick with fingertip grip then and forget about testing any other grips unless you get pain/discomfort or have some other issues. The grip I am explaining in this video isn't really that much of a relaxed claw grip. Good mice for the grip in this video: VAXEE XE Wireless, VAXEE Outset AX, Viper V2 Pro to some extent , Lamzu Atlantis and XM1r can be used if you adapt the grip a little bit. Xtrfy M42 Wireless and X2 Mini, even Superlight to some extent, again if you are ready to adapt
@@hausgaming I get what you are saying. The only issue I have with fingertip is I seem to use it by default for fps games perhaps because I like to have faster mouse movement. I just don’t see me using it for the desktop browsing as I seem to prefer having some sort of mouse contact which is why I turn to the palm support which has led me to this issue of resting my palm towards the mousepad in a tilted motion. The grip in the video did work to avoid me doing that so I have some reason to transition to the relaxed claw style even if it means me using a mix of the fingertip and relaxed claw like I do now but with the palm grip instead. I think this relaxed claw grip could definitely work for me but it would need the right mouse. I wanted to see if I could convert to it fully but as you say it might not require a full change of grip as I could use both fingertip or relaxed claw when I please. I might just keep my xm2w preorder and still test one of the mice you listed as well to see what I prefer or whether I could just use both and alternate my grip which is what I do with the superlight and xm1r. I was just set on going with the xm2w since I waited such a long time for it and I thought it was the best mouse for me. After watching your xm2we review I went looking for alternative answers which led me here to which I figured out the palm grip issues. I am probably overthinking as if there is only ever one true grip and mouse that I could have but there is many routes I could go to fix the palm pain issue I have and it has showed just by adapting my grip. The xm1r and superlight just make it easier to default back into my old palm grip when I’m not paying attention, so it is more about me avoiding it than a straight mouse replacement to fix it for me. It probably wouldn’t hurt to still find two mice that can work for both grip and uses and I can alternate between them.
@@jakf101 Ahh okok! Understood. Yeah, I'd recommend doing anything to get rid of the pain. First by trying to adapt to whatever you are using now and keeping that XM2w preorder if you were happy with the XM1r. There are many other hybrid claws for you to try as well, which could help alleviate the pain!
this is almost the exact same grip i use. used to palm grip but was forced to change it due to a new mice
I’m rocking a g603 with this grip and it’s amazing.
What kind of sens are you using for this grip. I originally played pretty high sens for val/cs, so did you end up lowering or raising yours with this grip?
I use all sorts of different senses for different games. Anything from 20cm to 35cm 360!
I had a really weird grip when I used G203. I palmed it but at an angle, so the mouse was rotated like 30 degrees to the left. It was really comfy and I my best aim for that mouse. I have no idea why it worked.
Oh my! Your channel has grown. Great work, Jüri!
Thanks Piirto, king of Hürtgen!
how are you liking those turbulence puretrak mousepads? i'm thinking of picking one up cause i like the size + colors but idk if it's the same glide as the L puretrak talent that i have now
It's the same as the Talent and the Phoenix! They look great
@@hausgaming awesome thanks for the reply! i agree they look great, definitely picking one up
I just tried your style and....I like it. It suits me on the np01s but not the mm711 or ec2-a
Oh nice, my main grip’s apparently endgame lol. But I personally never found it possible with most ambi mice, due to the hourglass shape flaring out the front corners too wide where I choke my fingers up. Best mouse I’ve tried for this kind of grip is the Orochi V2.
Works well for me for rounded shapes like HTS / GPW / S2.
model d- good for relaxed claw? 17.5 by 9.5, planning to get the wireless one if the shape is good. If not i might just go with the orochi unless thats pretty bad for claw.
D- is good for any kind of claw!
I have the wired d- and felt that its a bit to back heavy. The weight balance is too drastically different for me to consistently play well. I'm a low sens player who regularly needs to lift my mouse.
This was my original grip but do to mm710 bullet quality icons do it(I use mm710 because it has the best back in the market but if u know a good long mm710 tell me about it)
I think I grip the mouse the exact same way and I also have 19x10cm hands which is interesting. I wonder if that’s why I like the M4 so much. I do find the viper mini too small and light though. Any more recommendations?
Outset AX is very good for this grip as well!
I’ve actually tried the outset and I didn’t like the shape too much for some reason! Might try the model d wireless. Thank you for replying btw, love your channel and I watch multiple mouse reviewers
get right used the g303 as main for a while so he tried the entire spectrum ( A little bit after their early dominance)
Hey haus just a quick question how well do you use this grip on the viper mini
Works very well with the RVM, same way as Symm 2
This is almost the same grip I've been using. My pinky moves slightly further back. But this is with the Model D, maybe it would change with the minus
Waiting for your G303 review 🙂
wtf that's like the exact same grip as me, i thought it was weird that i had my palm resting so far up and fingers on the edge of the mouse buttons lol
Looks like Zywoo's grip style.Very useful
haus with the adidas drip
Grip it like it's hot! Really enjoyed your Video. =) I have a hybrid claw to palm grip.
Funny, we have the exact grip. The only difference is I prefer my thumb a little back of the mouse, and I have noticed with a back hump mouse this grip is more natural for me. And surprisingly, for mice like the xm1r, it forked for me amazingly well. So did the mm710.
Interesting, same grip but entirely different preference ! 😂
@@hausgaming yup I think its because of my small hands. I have 16 by 8 with fat fingers. Maybe that's what I prefer back hump cuz it feels annoying getting my finger to the front of the mouse.
I anchor the mouse into my palm and claw grip. So kind of palm claw? I started doing this when i switched to NP01. can you think of wirelesse mice that would be perfect with this grip? My hands are 17 by 9.2 cm .
Depends quite a bit, XM1 might be a good one to try and so would the Superlight!
@@hausgaming I appreciate the reply, I am trying out the G303 right now, but it may be too big, will give xm1 a try, or maybe the xm2w if they release that one soon. thanks.
That would be a Carpal Claw Grip yo
Are you able to use this grip with the orichi v2? Thanks!
No! Or well, I can grip the Orochi this way but it feels too short, so it's not comfortable!
This how I’ve been using my muse due to hand injury 😂
this was basically my natural way of gripping the logitech g pro lol, it really works tho
Tilted carpal stabilised claw grip according to this image: i.redd.it/znog8pjgys641.jpg - Side note: I just received PMM EC2 ul and this grip suits to that mouse perfectly on 18.5x10.5 hands.
wow, we have the same hand grip
Thanks for this tip. May I ask what is your hand size? (in cm)
19x10cm!
You should try the Hati S or MM711 with this grip. Benefits of the short mouse like UL2 but bigger booty for your palm.
Bigger booty causes issues with me on this grip, like I mentioned in the video!
When i switched to claw from palm like over a year ago i discovered this grip style for myself and it was honestly sick on how accurate u can be. My favourite shapes are the GPX, Viper Mini and some smaller ergos for this grip style. Also, the vertical movements are very effortless from my POV.
saw on your desk PureTrak TURBULENCE MOUSE PAD will there be a review on it?)
No, it's the exact same as Phoenix SE!
@@hausgaming the difference is only in the color scheme?
TwistZz grip right?
I have a similar gripstyle because it’s the one which lets me play without pain. But I struggle with one thing: micro adjustments. I feel like having my palm on top of my mouse limits the range of my finger aiming. Did anyone have a similar experience at some point and found a fix?
If your fingers are far up the mouse and you have good contact points, you should be able to still move the mouse with just your fingers. I barely ever do this myself tho.
Isn't this similar to Zywoo's gripstyle? I guess his grip is more relaxed and more tilted to the right, but the general idea is similar, right?
Zywoo plays with very different mice, this specific grip is for some specific mice for me. For example, I don't really grip the EC2-CW this way anymore, which is the mouse that Zywoo now uses
Pretty crazy that your palm sometimes never touches the pad, to me that's alien. Interesting grip, ill give it a try!
What do you recommend for a hand size of L 20cm by 10.3cm?
Grip or mouse?
@@hausgaming oh my bad im sorry i shud have mentioned claw Grip!, i have g305, g502,g403, viper8k, za11b, model o, model d, The only mouse suits me the is g305, however i was planning on buying viper mini since i feel small narrow mice feel really good for accuracy, but ur the pro player here hence ur advise would be excellent! isnt this the twistzz from csgo mouse grip?
Twistzz's grip is more extreme I'd say, but the same idea somewhat!
nice video. I just can't understand what GeT_RiGhT is saying at the end of the video cause the gunshots kind of interfere.
Hmm, maybe it's the nordic accent + the gunshots... I can understand it just fine, but sadly I can't do anything for the gunshot audio in the clip :/
Haus switching shirts like I do mice between games.
😂😂 Those clips were from my top 3 mice video
What is your edpi in cs go?

I use the same grip with gpx :D
Wtf so many grip GPX this way, I can't have my palm up the mouse with the GPX Potato shape :D
I couldn't kill a chicken on Italy with this grip :D
Yea that's pretty much my grip style but I prefer egg shaped mice. I don't like my palm being filled.
ahhh, that's why you have problem with rockets
I try to palm grip most of the mice but most are to small so i fingertip/palmgrip
Makes sense!
Shouldn't the GPX be rather good with this type of grip?
It's ok, but not great!
Nononono 😅 fingernails touching mousepad. Ultimate handpain 😅
It's just a "demo" my nails do not touch the pad, but I had to do it in the video show that it shows I'm moving my fingers!
@@hausgaming Ok thanks for your explanation. Love ur vids. I dont understand why u dont have 200k followers at least!
Its what i have always called "Hybrid Claw/Palm Grip" Its something i have always loved, and done for so many years - I agree its the best style, atleast for me
Yeah there are many names! I usually call very relaxed claw grips hybrid claw palm, the biggest factor in this grip is the fact that my palm is resting on top of the mouse, depending a tad on the shape my palm might not even end up touching the mouse that much!
your hoodie coming on and off between cuts lol
teses wtf lol
Go grip the HSK with this style LMAO
I tried bro 😭😭
That's similar to s1mple btw
Ohh really, any pics from s1mple grip?
