Correct me if I'm wrong, but none of this is robin's fault. Robin is providing an easy platforms for ADULTS, not children. It is not their responsibility to teach those adults how to trade. They're supposed to be mature and take informed decisions.
lol would you blame mcd for people eating unhealthy so why would you blame robinhood for people not doing research before buying
A new fun part of finance on social media that involves Robinhood is seeing the uninformed decisions and bandwagon decision in real time on social media as content for funny or learning opportunity. In reality, people are volatile that lead to WSJ having this content. The most informed in investing will thrive in Robinhood and the most uninformed in investing will be margin called by Robinhood.
These are the same folks that want to blame Tide because teenagers are swallowing the laundry pods.
Correct. It is for adults only. Be an adult. It’s your responsibility. I am so happy to have this freedom to trade with no fees. Should have been done years ago.
Thank you for being a voice of sanity. Shame on anyone who thinks Robinhood is at fault for making it easier to invest.
And was it fair when these companies charged 10 bucks for a single trade ?
It at least put some merit behind the transaction. Free trades and fractional shares only to get in and out making a few pennies of profit create unnecessary volatility and escalates the system to stop working on fundamentals. There is no free lunch and the day to pay the piper will come sooner or later.
More fair than when it was $50
Look into payment for order flow. Just about every no-commission broker out there does that. There’s a reason why a lot of people still use brokers that charge for trades when so many brokers have free trades.
@@peterhieuvu brokers who charge commission also get paid for order flow.
@@motoarzan791 I believe $0 trading fee is a great privilege. For a mindful investor, it is an opportunity to not spend most of his time on researching where to establish his/her account.

Tara Falcone: You’re too dumb to invest on your own. You have to pay people like me to control your money. Me: No I don’t.
My thoughts exactly. For people that don't want to cook their food they hire a chef. For people that don't want to make an exercise regime they hire a trainer. For people who don't want to learn about trading/investing then yes by all means hire a fiduciary. Anyone who puts in the time can learn simple trading and investing can and should be allowed this platform. The financial sector has operated under the "it's complicated but we'll make sure you're good" lie for centuries. This is my money and I have no problem micromanaging it.

Looks like Tara unhappy with these new guy on the block taking away business. But at the end of the day its about gambling your money. Tara or new guy same outcome; to make money. And lose money too
@Lovecraft when I said lie of the century I was talking about money management . Which is more than just the stock market. Most people can figure out the right places to put their money. Having a bean counter skim off the top has been a scam since Babylon.
@Lovecraftway to create a strawman argument, obviously it won't apply to everything. If they charged you an extra 15 bucks to put groceries in your car then that would be a service you could easily do yourself.
That lady Tara falcone's pay check might have dropped substantially, that's why she is whining about robinhood.......the frustration is clear on her face😂😂😂

For me I love robin hood, I'm a college student who invest in the stock market through it and it honestly has helped me greatly. I couldnt invest easily before it and it helps me trade for often and understand my data better. Since my college hardly tells us the resources available to invest I think it opens the door way wider for newbies. Unfortunately I do feel like some people jump in and risk far too much and maybe a warning needs to be put out.
Michel Bruns Yeah. They’re doing great thing IMO. Imagine have to paid $3,000 to buy AMAZON stocks. Most people will get turned off by that, but with Robinhood they can paid $100 and bought fraction of the share.

Sounds bad
I use webull but I’m really grateful for these opportunities that these apps has brought for us.
Robinhood steals from the poor and gives to the rich , they are a bad broker as they sell your order to HFT firms that then route your order through an ECN (basicaly an exchange) that makes them money so if they are not able to get a fill with your order that makes them money , your order will remain unfilled until that time . They are a horrible broker along with any other free brokers that sell your order to a third party . To simplify this , you will get bad fills , slower fills and ultimately lose money the more trades you make with them due to the extra money you will pay due to your bad/slow fills, it's a trick.
Love how the "expert" lady they use is someone who is directly impacted by people not using her services anymore. All the criticism I have seen about Robin Hood has come from either other investors (who do not want to share the wealth they are running away with in the market!) or so called "experts" whose livelihood is based in advising potential investors.

Beside that by buying stock people learn about the market, about the products etc. you won't learn that at school either. My only problem is that everyone is portraying day trading as a get rich quick scheme that everyone can do. Investing is easy, but day trading is not. Everyone is flexing their gains and acting like they’re pro day traders because they caught one of the biggest bull rallies in history.
And? Sounds like a personal problem to me.
But these day traders dont mention a word about the loss they have done either whoch makes others think its all profits in daytrading. When I was younger I know a daytrader and he did not hesitate to admits the amounts he has lost in a period of 24hrs. He has made some amazing gains dont get me wrong but he warns everyone he talk to of how much quicker the losses can come.
really interesting video, appreciate the upload
RH seems like a good thing to me. The only downside is the app can exacerbate the effects of market bubbles. As equities become overbought by lower information investors, the effects of a bubble bursting may be far more profound. It wouldn't just be retail investors losing. Millions of pensions and retirement accounts would also be exposed to this fallout. Although the markets would likely return to their highs, people who are retiring soon after the collapse would be SOL.
I personally would love to see how these unexperienced trader drive price high and then sell all their stock panicly. I will just buy lot of stock when it is undervalued because of these newbies sell in panic.
This is EXACTLY the situation these older people are afraid of. Funny enough, it's inexperienced people investing in the stock market that was one of the many reasons the Great Depression started.

It's a great idea but folks still need to do there home work. Nothing comes easy or free.
@Lovecraft unfortunately that will never happen.
No customer support phone line .... jest answering machine where you can't leave any question or complaint.
My economics teacher taught me everything I need to know about trading. Shout out to Mr. B!!!
just using this medium to thank Mr George because i never knew Forex is this profitable until i gave a trial now my Forex port folio keeps growing tremendously this past months with the guidance and strategies of Mr George scout, i think it's best to seek guidance from some pro trader's like Mr George and more to avoid loses and if you want to go for investment like i did.

Surely this app has made Rookie investors trading like Crazy...But We can't deny that It has revolutionized Stock Trading and inspired to grow many other Similar Companies in Other Countries too.....
And it's also led to a large swatch of supply and demand that isn't reflected in a stock's price. A trade on Robinhood isn't executed on the stock market, it's executed between Robinhood and other firms.
But you have to apply to trade options, its not like its just right there
how much trade margin on robinhood will determine stock market craziness in the future.
Free commission trades first and now fractional shares. Watch in a year everyone will have fractional shares available.
Can't wait to turn 18 and start long term investing with dividends, compound interest man
Mashed Tomato yes!! Buy the best companies and hold. 🙏

Nice ad WSJ
Does RH allow to buy 100 stocks of Company X and keep theme there for 5 years before selling again?
“Makes it too easy for inexperienced individuals to trade.” Sounds like exactly what a stock broker would say that depends on your inability to do things yourself.
Seriously, these so-called "geniuses" brought us the financial crisis of 2008, so I'll learn on my own terms using a variety of trading apps, youtubers, and books, thank you very much.

Osmar Castillo ты хочешь печенье?

Lovecraft fun money baby I just have 1k all in 4$ Riot calls expiring 21
And 5k in cash
Ummm So do I allow my funds to settle and go back to Etrade? Kinda worried I cant afford to lose my capital in robinhood
I know this is not the center of the video but when the commercial said "usually up to 10 bucks" I was shocked. In my third-world country they charge up to 60 bucks
maurizio, so what is the currency f your country
Robinhood just makes things easier That shouldn’t be a problem at all. People who are inexperienced should get help from pros or more experienced people.
This reminds me of tech bubble in early 2000s. Wonder how that one ended?🤔
It reminds me of the 1920s as well
Is this a re-upload ?
This is like buying “no load” stocks 40 years ago, in terms of fees. Couldn’t buy fractional shares though. As someone who has been investing for over 40 years...I like it.
The trouble I see with this app is that it would make it so easy to invest/day trade without understanding all the tax implications that go along with quickly buying and selling stocks.
Worrying about taxes implies they make a profit.
yea most of them buy outrages options with very close expiration dates
the app sends you a 1099 through e mail at the end of the year.
Well I spend a lot on food. If I invest now I can buy more food in the future. It's worth it.
wen i joined robinhood the4 avg commission was $7, not #10...
I'm middle age and I love the newer brokerages like Robinhood and M1 finance. Ease of use is a feature not a drawback! It was these upstart brokerages that brought things like no commission trades and fractional shares to average retail investors. They are also up to date with the latest security practices. I can enable Google 2fa on Robinhood and M1 but not on Vanguard?! Crazy.
Stock is a nice investment every person should partake in but it will be better off adding a profitable investment that will help you grow your business family bills and other tangible things that will make your future brighter
Secure your future today by making a decent investment ahead of time
@@Elmerolockerjr726 Wow... I love what I'm seeing here now I know that some responsible individuals really value bitcoin trading
I have been so much interested in bitcoin investment but don't know how to start ever. This has been my major concern I have also tried trading in my own but it seems I'm missing something
@Lana Gavin thanks you did well to share his contact here
I have been trading with him for long time now and he hasn't failed to deliver
I only buy calls on STONKS!!!!!
🌈🐻 for me
There is actually a long waiting list to trade fractional shares on Robinhood. Charles Schwab and Fidelity let you trade fractional shares right away . They also now have no commission trading ie free trades.
You have to turn options on
The stock market is going crazy, I can't trust the stock market anymore. Rather the invest in something else.
Yeah crypto currency is really hitting the skies with the speed
Some people will be kicking themselves in few years if they miss this opportunity to invest crypto currency now
Exactly
Buy Bitcoin today
Bitcoin trading might make you Rich if you're hedge fund with deep pockets or unusually skilled currency trader. But for the average retail trader rather than being an easy road to riches, Bitcoin trading can be a Rocky highway to enormous losses and potential penury.
Haters. Robinhood is great.
Having studied the South Sea Market crash of 1720 (where loads of new retails investors new to investing joined the stock market, speculated, shares soared, created a bubble & burst) there are startling similarities between then and now. Its only a matter of time before history repeats itself.
Ive had the chance to work for the stock market and the US has such a different take in how it handles its retail side. In the Ph and a lot of asian countries, theres a heavy focus for the exchange and the brokerages to educate the general public (be it an advanced trader or beginner) granted, stock market participation is higher in the US. But there seems to be some sort of gatekeeping going on - having platforms like robinhood that give easy access to the financial markets are great, but why the highly negative sentiment towards it, yes, its risky - why dont brokers and financial advisors adjust their services and offer consultation for beginners too? FAs dont have to be obsolete, they just have to adapt to their changing market.
Charles Schwab catered to the old white rich crowd. It didn't even have a intuitive mobile app, neither did E-trade, both interfaces were complete garbage. Robinhood just made it easier for millennials to enter the market and cut out the obscene fees.
Old money is sad that new money is getting in on the gains
Grantapalooza this so called new money, was in the market when 01 bubble happened, they left after they lost a lot, same with btc new money left after it crashed, stock market will obviously happen. Sept 30th is when the second quarter of gdp comes out, if it is negative we are in a recession, which means newbs will get rekt and leave like they always do. You know your in a bubble when the stock of a company doesn’t reflect its earnings, and everybody you knows starts trading.
Personally from my experience I don't like Robinhood. I prefer Webull instead due to the fact that it has way more information and analytics.
I tried Ameritrade I didn't like their stock system and they don't have a desktop Icon where you can click and open all your charts and data... you gotta sign on the website in order to access it which is a big inconvenience for me. Webull is where it's at, It has everything and it looks all modern and they have a great app on the phone and easy to use and a Dark mode theme that doesn't blind me like all the others do.
paula Ameritrade a real platform? LOL
Watch options get banned or restricted by gov. Too many people doing it to the point where price action is getting messed up
You're right it's the beautifully intuitive GUI. Webull has more features, tools and incentives. Webull doesn't have Robinhood's slick GUI.
This is so dumb. I've been learning about investing thanks to Robinhood. My account has gone up 37% in the last 3 months. I'm no expert I just buy stocks that I can afford.
Chill out warren budget. You can’t lose if the market is going up. You’re probably buying overpriced tech stocks. Just wait until the bubble pops.
Tony N. Exactly. Everyone thinks they’re Warren buffet because they caught one of the biggest bull waves of all time.
This. Investing is something we learn along the way. I have 28%
