  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but none of this is robin's fault. Robin is providing an easy platforms for ADULTS, not children. It is not their responsibility to teach those adults how to trade. They're supposed to be mature and take informed decisions.

    • A new fun part of finance on social media that involves Robinhood is seeing the uninformed decisions and bandwagon decision in real time on social media as content for funny or learning opportunity. In reality, people are volatile that lead to WSJ having this content. The most informed in investing will thrive in Robinhood and the most uninformed in investing will be margin called by Robinhood.

    • It at least put some merit behind the transaction. Free trades and fractional shares only to get in and out making a few pennies of profit create unnecessary volatility and escalates the system to stop working on fundamentals. For people who don't want to learn about trading/investing then yes by all means hire a fiduciary. Anyone who puts in the time can learn simple trading and investing can and should be allowed this platform. The financial sector has operated under the "it's complicated but we'll make sure you're good" lie for centuries. This is my money and I have no problem micromanaging it.

    • Robinhood steals from the poor and gives to the rich , they are a bad broker as they sell your order to HFT firms that then route your order through an ECN (basicaly an exchange) that makes them money so if they are not able to get a fill with your order that makes them money , your order will remain unfilled until that time . They are a horrible broker along with any other free brokers that sell your order to a third party . To simplify this , you will get bad fills , slower fills and ultimately lose money the more trades you make with them due to the extra money you will pay due to your bad/slow fills, it's a trick.

    • Fantastic video ❤️ No doubt, Bitcoin and the aggregated cryptocurrency market has incurred some notable upwards momentum once again, right now the leading crypto asset Bitcoin has breached $20,000 for the first time in the last three (3) years. Who would ever believe this can happen this year 2020 after the COVID-19 that the HUMAN RACE just uncounted, despite the 2nd LOCKDOWN going on in some countries now and the financial crisis going on in the WORLD, BITCOIN is still on the Bull 📈 However out of excitement a lot of investors/traders will rush and SELLOFF the little they Hold which i see as a very odd and old strategy of making profits, instead i would advice you find a working strategy/daily signals as i have been with Mr Richard Bruce who is a Pro trader and also a signal provider. With his daily signals i was able to increase my 0.8btc to a total of 7.1btc within 5 weeks of active trade, which you would agree is a very good way of making profits. I would say don't sell, take advantage of this profitable season with Mr Richard Bruce daily signals. He can be reach via WhatsApp: +1 971 512 2836 and Instagram @richard_brucefx for inquiries for insights into all crypto related issues...

I mean I can agree that most probably doesn't understand complicated derivatives, but people, get real. Beside that by buying stock people learn about the market, about the products etc. you won't learn that at school either. I watched a YT clip with MIT graduates trying to connect an AA battery with a small bulb using one wire. Most of them failed. You need to invest yourself into the topic to learn and Robinhood provides a great starting point.

I remember that my high school spent three months teaching and testing us on how to walk into a ballot center and vote on an Election Day (even though I can google that in 90 seconds): That time is precious and I think the more relevant lessons of our time are based around media literacy and personal finance.

At the same time, the Stochastic RSI oscillator is about to make a bullish crossover at the oversold area. In case this happens, it might assist the market in reaching higher highs. As equities become overbought by lower information investors, the effects of a bubble bursting may be far more profound. It wouldn't just be retail investors losing. • I'm middle age and I love the newer brokerages like Robinhood and M1 finance. Ease of use is a feature not a drawback! It was these upstart brokerages that brought things like no commission trades and fractional shares to average retail investors. They are also up to date with the latest security practices. I can enable Google 2fa on Robinhood and M1 but not on Vanguard?! Crazy.

  • Having studied the South Sea Market crash of 1720 (where loads of new retails investors new to investing joined the stock market, speculated, shares soared, created a bubble & burst) there are startling similarities between then and now. Its only a matter of time before history repeats itself.

  • Ive had the chance to work for the stock market and the US has such a different take in how it handles its retail side. In the Ph and a lot of asian countries, theres a heavy focus for the exchange and the brokerages to educate the general public (be it an advanced trader or beginner) granted, stock market participation is higher in the US. But there seems to be some sort of gatekeeping going on - having platforms like robinhood that give easy access to the financial markets are great, but why the highly negative sentiment towards it, yes, its risky - why dont brokers and financial advisors adjust their services and offer consultation for beginners too? FAs dont have to be obsolete, they just have to adapt to their changing market.

  • Charles Schwab catered to the old white rich crowd. It didn't even have a intuitive mobile app, neither did E-trade, both interfaces were complete garbage. Robinhood just made it easier for millennials to enter the market and cut out the obscene fees.

    • Grantapalooza this so called new money, was in the market when 01 bubble happened, they left after they lost a lot, same with btc new money left after it crashed, stock market will obviously happen. Sept 30th is when the second quarter of gdp comes out, if it is negative we are in a recession, which means newbs will get rekt and leave like they always do. You know your in a bubble when the stock of a company doesn’t reflect its earnings, and everybody you knows starts trading.

    • I tried Ameritrade I didn't like their stock system and they don't have a desktop Icon where you can click and open all your charts and data... you gotta sign on the website in order to access it which is a big inconvenience for me. Webull is where it's at, It has everything and it looks all modern and they have a great app on the phone and easy to use and a Dark mode theme that doesn't blind me like all the others do.
