  • You’re the man!!! I just downloaded your app and you’re saving me time and guess work as to what is a healthier choice to consume. I use to read every ingredient and now it’s scan and go.What surprises me now is not what is healthy to buy but what I’ve been buying all my life thinking was healthy and finding out how bad it was!!! I’m completely transforming my kitchen into a Bobby approved kitchen and reaping the benefits, I’ve lost plenty of weight and am feeling so much better. I’ve also started using grass fed collagen and am planning to start taking probiotics soon. Thanks again

  • I started watching this video and then remembered that I had to go pick up your 5 ingredient cookbook from the library. I requested that the library buy it and they did!. So far, it looks good. I like how you break down everything such as the different types of meat, sweeteners, breakfast foods etc. That is as far as I have gotten since I came home and finished the video. As far as Aldi foods, the only two things I usually buy from Aldi are the Southern Comfort Roasted, no salt Almonds and the Simply Nature Multi-Grain Tortilla Chips. I always wanted to know how good they were for me. Maybe one day when you are desperate for content, you could do a Q&A and answer subscriber's questions about individual products that they eat. Take care.

    @sunshinemerlot9790@sunshinemerlot97902 жыл бұрын
  • I can answer your question about how grass fed beef prices were so low and in a number of places still very reasonable. About 2 months ago the ranchers associations and their financial folks were deciding to cull the herds rather than pay to feed them over the winter. This applies to all beef cattle. A quick search online will show you both the Open range lands and the farmlands that produce the corn and soy for conventional beef in feedlots have been decimated in many locations by fire and weather this year. So the big shots have determined it's cheaper to reduce the sizes of the herds, and sell the meat cheaply and then raise new calves in the spring. This will translate to short-term dips in price of meat, and longer-term rises in cost of meat and dairy and other beef products... Probably including unrelated non-food items like leather goods, pet food and rawhide toys for pets. If you are pepper-minded (or frugal) this is a good time to fill your freezer... Gradually. Get one or two extra items each time you go shopping. We don't want to create a shortage or a panic or over buy out of fear. No need to inconvenience the next person. (It could be your nephew or your best friends grandma you know) Shalom to all.

  • Good point about Costco prices not always being the best as in the past. Lately their prices have risen on some items and are no longer better per unit than Aldi or even Amazon sometimes. That never or rarely occurred until this year. I overheard a customer in store last week complaining about it and asking why are we paying for a membership if prices down the street at Aldi are sometimes better than Costco. She said she was complaining to corporate about it and ask them what's the advantage of paying for membership if prices are beginning to be cheaper at an Aldi or Trader Joe's?

    @Paulguynj@Paulguynj2 жыл бұрын
    • No one is forcing you to keep your Costco membership. Get a refund and do all your shopping at Aldi.

      @camerongrant3739@camerongrant37392 жыл бұрын
    • @@camerongrant3739 ahhh I'm not complaining about Costco. I'm saying another customer was complaining out loud in the store when I was shopping. I'm simply saying they're prices sometimes aren't as good as they used to be. That's all. They used to have best prices for everything. And it's a valid point that if you're paying to shop somewhere for the privilege of lower prices then you should always have best prices compared to any competition.

      @Paulguynj@Paulguynj2 жыл бұрын
    • @@Paulguynj Food prices (as well as everything else) has gone up so to single out Costco seems disingenuous. When I buy from Costco, I look at the unit price and Costco is still a bargain.

      @camerongrant3739@camerongrant37392 жыл бұрын
    • @@camerongrant3739 The reason they're being singled out is they're charging a fee to shop at their store. So, it's not disingenuous to single them out in this case. If it was free to shop there it would be a non issue if something is more expensive than an Aldi or Trader Joe's. Hence their prices should always be lower then a competitor down the street. The whole marketing of wholesale clubs is they're supposed to offer the best value in return to you paying a fee to shop there. I shouldn't be able to go to an Aldi and find items more reasonable (a pumpkin for example) especially since it costs nothing to shop there. Understood? Costco should always be offering the best prices since they're charging us to shop there. It usually still is a bargain but lately they don't have price advantage sometimes when they used to always have a price advantage.

      @Paulguynj@Paulguynj2 жыл бұрын
    • @@Paulguynj Costco is under exactly zero obligation to offer the “best” price on anything. The usually do, but they certainly don’t have to. Why would you even think that?

  • I was born in the 50s and remember paper straws and cups etc spoons out of wood for items like a cup of ice cream Today our largest pollutants are plastics, drugs, mercury, aluminum etc ( even DDT was in the ocean and they are going to put it deep in the ground Ugh - personally I'd send it into space and good riddance Oh yeah there are stores that will Not give you any packaging at all everything is not wrapped which is where I wanna shop However thanks for the advice we need it here too
