While I don't understand russian, I still definetly notice that what you said is true. you can hear how it just starts of depressing, sad, not really anything going on, but then there's a short moment of silence and after that there's a whole lot more tension in the music, wich is all comparable to what the lyrics of the song apparently are: depression, sadness, suicde attempt, waking up in the hospital bed and realising it was all a mistake, he doesn't want to die, etc.

Настолько лёгкая, но глубокая песня, что раскрывает наши внутренние краски, всю боль и печаль за жизнь, сожеление. Честно, я с каждым разом будто бы разрываюсь от песни, будто бы мы действительно открывем свою душу в развёрнутом виде, и чем больше боль, тем больше груза, тревожности.. Я просто не знаю как описать это произведение, но почему-то мне просто хочется сказать: моя мечта-стать футболистом, и я её совершу. This song in particular reminds me so much of my childhood, and I hope it does so for so many others. This is the sound of those old, rotting and crumbling soviet apartments. This song encapsulates that time when the future of our parents were guaranteed with positivity and glee, equality and happiness...but simply never came to be. Look at what happened, look how depressingly everything fell apart - and then we came in, into this crumbling burnt up world without dreams. This song perfectly represents that pessimism, that impossible hope that was promised, that will only rot away. The way he screams “dying is more comfortable!”, the way the sounds cry out, thats how we all cried. Crying that our most cherished childhood years were spent in misery, hopelessness and depression. That these things, of all things, the crumbling apartments, the abject poverty and the cruel greed that set in, ended up as nostalgia to us.

I got into a real bad car accident yesterday with this song playing as I was hit. I rolled about three times and spent some time in the air. I always related to the atmosphere of this song. Right as I started rolling, the part where he repeats “never die” was playing… the whole experience was surreal and it’s still hard to process. I’m so lucky I’m alive and minimally injured. I have a new appreciation for life, just as the subject in this song. something told me to change the song to this one about 60 second prior to getting hit. it is honestly just crazy to have a relatable experience to the song in such a strange coincidental way. Недавно умер брат. 40 лет было парню. Три недели в сознании пролежал в реанимации, не пускали никого к нему, не давали телефон, одну лишь записку за день до смерти - "поговорите с врачом, я хочу вас увидеть." Так и умер один с окошком тумбочкой и кроватью... Теперь тяжело слушать эту песню.
Сочувствую. Хз , но в реанимации ты хотя бы мирно умираешь, хоть не видя родственников (а есть же реанимации с окнами? Че за параша, если челу нельзя даже с родственниками поговорить, то хотя бы повидатся)

Tbh, i understand why people are annoyed others are finding this to be a bop & aesthetic cause of its lyrics, but then I would like to direct your attention to Pumped up Kicks. Its literally about a school shooting, yet people love it & dance to it all the time. This is a normal thing with dark music, we ignore the lyrics if it has a cool beat.
that doesn't make it right, though. you directed our attention to pumped up kicks which is inevitably a problem and not something you should dance to, but then dismissed the whole issue with dancing to dark songs like its all okay.

People (Especially GenZ) have been exposed to mature themes like school shootings, suicide, terrorism, mental illness, and much more, for most of their lives. we're pretty much numb to it. not to mention we just like to have fun. If we hear a song that we can dance to, we're gonna dance. Whether its morally ok or not is rendered null and void, because if its making people dance and have fun, I'd say its a pretty good song. if its making people consider the lyrics & understand how bad suicide is, then its also a good song. Honestly, at the end of the day, music & all other art forms are meant to make you feel something. feeling something different from what the musician originally intended is perfectly alright, provided that you still have a positive outcome from it, whether that be dancing & having fun, or accepting how terrible suicide is & never trying it. Not to mention, both the examples I provided have very upbeat rythms, making them ideal for dancing.
