Informative and good content
Thank you for the kind words. I hope it opens minds and furthers creativity. As for myself, using a laser has made building balsa, airplanes, fun again
Interesting, I'm a giant scale rc builder and bought a Atzer pro 20 watt to burn parts using Lightburn and thus far not having a great deal of success using the machine/ Lightburn@@lazerbuilderrc1536
I’ve been looking at the Atzer 24watt but wouldn’t think it would be a good beginner laser. Are you looking at building something from Outerzone or Aerofred? I wouldn’t mind at all helping you get the plan set up in Lightburn and then emailing it back to you. Assuming it’s OK with you that I make a video out of the work I did on the plans.
Right now I'm learning all I can , when I'm ready for assistance I ill get back to you, I have not decided what I will select for a plan set. Thanks for your offer to help. Bill@@lazerbuilderrc1536
No problem guy. I would encourage you to stick with it. Once you get past the learning curve you’ll discover things that you wish had been available 20 years ago.
So it would need to be a completely new design but it strikes me that with the laser we should be able to make a plane that simply goes togather like a 3d puzzle, no jigs, just snap togather and then hit with thin CA. Instead of typing I should be experimenting!
Exactly, right!! And in the event of a total destruction of your aircraft, you simply go back to the laser start cutting again That’s why I believe I got the name of this site, correct lol.
