Amazing Idea Using Old Faulty Computer Hard Disk
HDD broken? - DON' T THROW THAT AWAY!!! here is a BIG IDEA
AMAZING IDEA bluetooth audio player with HDD BROKEN
ideas - what can be made from an old HDD
I found a broken hard drive in a dump near my house, at first I didn't know what to do with it, but after a while I realized it was such a great idea that I knew for sure that this was the case. An idea that no one had ever thought of. I took advantage and turned the hard drive into a speaker that works on the principle of leverage, this is a great idea to reuse something, isn't it?

loved the huge cockroach in the beginning that helped carry the bag
Kkkkkkkk boa kkkkkkk
it's like a pet :)))
I was scrolling and scrolling and scrolling to see if ANYONE ELSE had also seen that. LOL!
That roach was huge! How can you miss it
more of a work of art than anything else. really cool.
Ha ha I love this. This is art. I might have to have a route thru my old scrap boxes
dang, learn something I couldn't do every day... Pretty awesome, sir.
Wow, im impressed, next time I have a broken hard drive I’m going to do that, keep it up!
I simply love it. Marvelous ideas.👍
I'm so happy for this, I'll try to be more creative
I think this is the coolest build idea I've ever seen on KZhead. Hands down. Keep you great ideas coming. Great job.
I am very happy for this, thank you very much. I will try harder with great ideas
That screwdriver kit is impressive.
Thank you. it's a set of screwdrivers from Xiaomi
Simply amazing DIY invention bravo amigo awesome
I am very happy to have people who support me like you, I will acknowledge it and try to do my best
Nice..what Kind of Modul you choose to build this project? I like that.
How much weight can it hold (Torque), if the movement were to be vertical. Can we control the position of the brush?
Nicely done. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦.
great, thank you very much. i love Canada
I was worried about the screw joints but surprisingly it sounds great 😅
*Excellent work* 👍👍
I'm glad for that, thank you very much
Cool ... creative... and fun...
I'm very happy about that, thank you very much
Well done!
What is the brand of your screw driver? It looks awsome.
lol at the cockroach running from its house at 0:09. It even did a drift. ** Deja Vu begins to play **
haha :))) that's a great pet isn't it
nice ! maybe we can make a 4 stroke speaker next ! hahahaah Great Work
Very cool, I'm very happy with this. I will try to upgrade them to make it work better
Amazing 😍😍 #theprojectlab
I'm very happy for this, thank you very much
Excellent work👍👍👍👍
I'm so happy for this, thank you so much
Wow
thanks
This is a mechanically driven speaker (literally). Unusual design but applicable. The downside are the joints witch can eazily worn out. The technollogy is called direct servo speakers, if im not mistaken. Usually reserved for heavy duty low frequency driver.
very accurate, thank you very much
There is no servo here. Servos by definition require a feedback loop, this has none that I can see.
Thank you for explaining that because I watched this video to the end and I still had no idea what exactly was going on.
@@MySpoot Really? It was super clear. The hard drive head mechanism moves the speaker cone when connected to the audio circuit.
Thanks for your sharing
thank you so much
The only gripe I have about this build is the thickness of those cables!
exactly 😀
Gotta maintain audio quality man. Those are special oxygen free cables for perfect audio phidelity.
It took me a long time to come up with this unique idea. it works on the principle of leverage, don't you think this is a great idea
The thicker the wire the less resistance it has , in electromagnet speakers lower gauge stranded wire is better .
@@joshuagoff7878 Take that, monster cables.
I am not sure about the feasibility of this but a very entertaining vid! Loved the background sounds. Kept me guessing.
yeah its impractical but a great time killer.
I am very happy for this. thanks you very much
1A. Topp Idee, Topp Wirkungsgrad! ✔✔
Vielen Dank 😍
That roach be thiccc, bruh!
It's pretty much like a pet isn't it
Great DIY which everyone cannot do.
Everyone can find the parts but this showed a great deal of skill.
@@wayland7150 That's what I wanted to mention.
I'm so happy for this, thank you so much
Other than it being artistically cool. What would be the advantage of making this speaker vs just using the same speaker normally?
Well done, but servo would be more useful and reliable in subwoofer I think.
yes, i think so too. i will try to upgrade it, to make it better
@@creators904 Need a low pass filter.
That Screwdriver set is from future!
Wow Stick

Super! Genial!
I'm happy about that, thank you
Thats awesome.... omg.... can you use it to make move 15 or 18" sub ?
I worked really hard to create it. thank you very much
I'm amazed and heart broken the same time... And jealous too.
I'm very proud of this idea, it took me a lot of time to think and implement this idea

nice creative video 👍👍

Thats the awesomest toolset I ever seen
I am very happy for this. thanks you very much
Is there anyway the hdd disk can be used as a rimary mirror for a telescope or something?always wondwrd that...
I think the idea of turning them into a mirror is very feasible, and there are many better ideas with an HDD
What is the toolbox that you used ? I need one of those!
you go to google and enter the keyword: xiaomi screwdriver set
then there will be what you need
@@creators904 Thanks!
Excelente....Uau!...

I would've never have thought that by sending an amplified analog audio signal through a hard drive actuator arm to a speaker you could actually get pretty decent sound. I'm guessing it's possible because the arm is made for precision movement. I'd love to see/hear what this sounds like with an actual good quality woofer.
It's called a Voice Coil and got it's inspiration from the loud speaker. Drive heads used to be controlled by a spinning screw thread or worm drive but that was very slow.
@@wayland7150 Voice coil. That's the word(s) I was looking for. Cheers :)
@@TheTruthKiwi It's actually called a Voice Coil in the hard drive industry. It's just returning to it's roots.
great, thank you very much. It took me a long time to come up with this idea
@@wayland7150 yes, relatively accurate
wow fantastico!
Keep it up, thanks for sharing :)
awesome, thank you so much
Muy buena idea. Por un momento pensé que eras: " E T phone home.."
Me tomó mucho tiempo llegar a esta idea. espero que sea una gran idea
Yeah its been thought of, its just a gimick, there are many tricks/fun stuff aroumd. But good on you for having fun 👍
0:09 Ay la cuca!! jajajaja
This kind of mechanics could be used also by moving a mirror reflect laser beam in a disco dance room
That would have been my 1st choice also. I have used r/w arms for silly other uses too though, that didn't require audio or much other circuits to implement, like a flipping mech for a cat string toy.
And i own a company with Mega in the name 2
@@ianbolt2672 Right on! 🎸🎶🤟 Anything with "Mega" in its name can't be a bad thing right? lol I got my nick version in 90's while stationed in Europe during Ops.D.S. as a CommTech Repairman radio designation. 📡⚡🛠 Still playing around with rf tech and ⚡ voltages 😛
very cool, i think it's a very good idea
@@creators904 Use a mirror for horizontal and one for vertical deflection and each driven by its own audio channel and it can draw crazy patterns and shapes with stereo signals. Music source is pretty random, but controlled frequency waveforms can draw about anything repeatedly.

hahaha brilliant, nice video
I'm so happy for this, thank you so much
A lot of trouble to take a speaker then make a speaker using a different concept. I admit it is creative and never seen this done like this! Not bad ...
It's the same concept, called the voice coil. It used to be a spinning motor that moved the heads on a screw thread.
thanks you very much
That is quite clever.
thank you so much
that long board with 3 nobs on it with leds is a walkie talkie 40 channel
yes, very accurate. it's a walkie talkie

это, кажется, домашнее животное :)))
Dam i wana buy that you could consider selling this invention 🤑
I think it's not really good to sell and use continuously every day. I will try to improve it a lot so that it can work continuously in the most durable way
Cuando conectó la rótula del brazo del cabezal con la corneta dejó un leve juego y eso causa distorsión. por lo demás, está perfecto el invento.
Le agradezco mucho esta consideración. Lo mejoraré más, así que espero que sea una gran idea.
Speakers back in the day be like:
That's not a bad idea
Its cool that you fixed a broken speaker using the electromagnet from an old hard drive. I would never have considered that thats a good way to fix a speaker but it seems to work pretty well. I made a door bell using a broken hard drive once. Still works like a charm.
No, the point was not to fix a speaker but to make something cool and make an entertaining video showing how he did it.
@@wayland7150 if thats the case then its even cooler

What did experimenters and other innovative people use before the era of "super glue" (a.k.a. "CA glue")?!?
That was a nasty big cockroach that fell out of that bag when you dumped it.! lol!
Full spectrum... it's a burden for a single coil/actuator. You should have 3 coils and 3 cones, with a crossover so each coil could work better. Furthermore, try to reduce the sag in the mechanics.
Hay đấy :))
many thanks
How could you think of doing that
Awesome Idea, if i want to make that too, can i find details about the exeltronic you used somewhere?

yes, i will try to develop something more useful
Am I missing something? Where is the servo feedback? What custom circuit/DSP manages the servo control?
