Glad to see they are salvaging every bit they find! As a Studebaker guy I can tell you it’s probably harder even for us to source parts. Unfortunately I just recently watch a video of a guy who crushed a huge lot of Studebakers claiming he salvaged anything worth of value off of them first. As I did appreciate him “saving what he could”. There was still so much useable glass, engines, and many many other parts he crushed….The worst he crushed was a Lark Daytona trim package car! These cars weather they are Mopars, GM, FoMoCo, or even Studebaker DO NOT deserve the crusher!! And I commend anyone who is able to salvage them. Awesome video!
This was cool to watch. My dad used to tell me about his car all the time. He bought a 1970 Super Bee brand new. Black on black hardtop, 383 with 440 heads and 4 spd trans with pistol grip shifter. Keystone Mags and dual glass pack exhaust. He said he'd drive it like the Dukes of Hazzard before they were even a thing. He could chirp the tires in 4th gear with 5 people inside he said. Even though he wasn't a car guy, he's the one that got me into them.
No such thing as "440 heads". 383s and 440s got the same heads.
@@jeffrykopis5468 just going by what the man told me. I mean it was over 30 years after the fact and it's been 15 years he'll be gone so I'm just going by memory too.
Keep those memories, if he said it had 440 heads then I'm sure the heads came off a 440 for sure 👍
My uncles all have stories like that. As well as the mischief created with those cars. Fun stuff.
Your dad had a dang nice car right there in the 70s my dad was getting ready to buy me a lime green Super Bird for 800 dollars and it was clean no dents good paint ran good man was I a fool not to get that car
Glad to see the youngsters keeping the era alive. I grew up when these cars where everywhere and expendable. My buddy put a plum crazy Cuda into a tree. Another friend had a triple black 70 Super Bee 383 4 speed car that he blew up trying to beat my GS. So then he bought a 70 Charger 440 six pack car which he blew up trying beat my GS (one of the reasons old muscle cars are found with non original engines, I suppose). Fast forward 50 years. A couple of months ago I ran into an old neighbor who had bought the Super Bee from my buddy after he blew it up. I asked what ever happened to it, and it turns out he still has it, kept it garaged all these years and now that he’s retired is close to putting it back on the road. I’ll be exited to see it, lots of good memories of running the streets in that car cruisin’ and boozin’ looking for chicks and the next car to race
Cool story. I've always enjoyed listening and reading these muscle car stories. Thx for sharing. 👍
My buddy in high school had a 67 440 GTX 4 SPEED
I love old muscle cars! The survivor unrestored cars. But the story that comes with it is the best part!
Ohhh man, now this just warms my soul that somebody is saving all these old cars and not letting them get crushed and recycled into the junk they're building today!
Wish it were even remotely affordable to take on a project MOPAR. I can't fathom the cost of parts much less the frustration of chasing down parts that I know are rare among the rarest.
A first gen Mustang is the best budget option to restore.
A-bodies are still affordable. I've had a couple.
HOLY CRAP I WAS THERE SATURDAY. Dammit I'm so upset I missed y'all coming down!! I coulda showed you a couple places not far from Cleveland that has some other nice old rides!!
You must have brought the rain with you!
Times certainly have changed, I turned down a solid 72' 440 Dodge charger RT with a white interior, vinyl top, louvered hood with stripe in Hemi orange back in 1992... It was $1400 and almost done.. Sheesh!
Now you can add another two zeros to the price if the car is in mint condition or a top-shelf resto or restomod.
@@kman-mi7su Tell me about it! Jeez I had a 70' Dodge Charger SE, and a 72' Cuda 340 in High school that I paid maybe $700 each for, they were "rat rods" but ran with some cool mods, I sold them for a modest profit after driving them for a few years and working on them for fun.. Wish I hadn't!!!! (sold them that is!)
@@papilloncycles3463 Yeah, my older brother had a ratty 340 Duster back in 85 when you could buy them for 700 bucks. He kicked the crap out of it racing on the street and Atco raceway in NJ. Worth more than that now!
@@kman-mi7su Man, when I bought that 72' Cuda, my buddy and I were deep in a ghetto neigborhood in NE DC, Dude insisted in street racing it with his baby daughter on his lap before I bought it... There was a bottle of Schnapps in the console when I got it home, all stuck to the plastic!
I think He wanted to take it for a rip before He sold it. Can't blame him!
The panther pink Cuda is the one I'd grab, that color was so nuts!
As a lifelong Chevy hater and mopar lover it just warmed my black heart to hear that guy talk about he reformed himself from chevys to real mopar muscle cars. Great video bud 👍
I like them all. But FoMoCo The Least.
There hope out there. 👍
Yeah Mopar really kept things alive from 1975 to 2000's, at least Chevy and Ford tried to stay relevant.
@@TheEnd-eg6wq IMO i don't think the 80s were very good for any of them.
She I heard him say that he was an chevy collector turned Mopar lover/collector , I dropped to my knees and said “there really is a God!” And this fella here just honestly proved it! In all of my 56 years, this is the very first time I’ve ever heard of anyone go from collecting/restoring chevys & pontiacs to being such a hard core Mopar lover!!!
It brought me back to my teen years. Everyone I knew, except for one, all drove Chevys and Fords. Those days are long gone and I need to find the bumpersticker I used to have. MOPAR or NO CAR
@@Ranjuw I've never had a problem with a MOPAR unless you count the transmission and rear end. LOL. What MOPAR actually stands for is some debate. Some will say Mostly Old Parts And Rust, others, Most Owners Probably Are Retarded. But I digress, I still love the cars.
I have had dozens upon dozens of these apart and one of the main reasons they rusted so bad was that Chrysler literally missed many MANY areas with the paint and they left with bare metal and began rusting immediately. This is especially endemic of the are under the rear shelf, portions of the roof, the inner quarters etc. This is also why the old Mopars bring so much money when they have been brought back properly. Someone has to put a fortune into them and know what they are doing or they will rust even worse after the resto. Your videos are among the few I look at on KZhead anymore, this is because you are NOT FAKE. I appreciate that. I know how easy it is to chop and edit and pull the old "I got this running after it sat 45 years and drove 4500 miles then won the Winter Nationals with it". BS, but you don't edit out the failures or try to become the big fake KZhead star. Keep up the nice work!
Midwest road salt savaged these unprotected Mopars. Everything rotted.
ya well fords and chevs outnumbered mopar, but not as many make it through even in this shape...
@@rayhope7957 Fords and Chevys far outnumber Mopars on the road today,There's probably more 65-67 Ford Mustangs still on the road than all Mopars combined.
@@davidh6818 Big kudos to chevy for using aftermarket pro-line engines and other name brand bodies that are lighter and more plentiful, example ford mustang.
Seen video with individual prices,,would been nice,,out of this world prices but maybe more negotiable than presume from asking price,,believe all just asking price,,other video might have been day of auction ???,,,first time seeing inside cars,,can't imagine prices,,only thing like is my car is beautiful compared to cars outside,,,15,000.00 70 coronet 440 and a 383 rebuilt transmission also,,needs some framework and quarters.,,plus,,
This was a great sale. I think so many casual guys, my father included, were pushed away by the prices for many things. However these aren’t just generic cars, they’re specialty and rare option, their prices reflect that and should
So he didn't tell us about the sale until it was over?? Well, I feel better about missing out it you tell me the prices were not good deals. What were cars like GTX's going for?
@@auteurfiddler8706 the sale was posted all over his Instagram page for months before the sale
Sorry but 10.5k for that heap of sh!t air grabber was a joke. You know they didn't pay sh!t for that crap that was in some old ladys tree row rotten.
@@craigdowling2610 Can you tell me some prices specifically of specific cars? 69-72 GTX are my favorites.
@@anthonybartley4667 I only know him from here, but I don't have Instagram so I guess that's the reason.
Cuda is moulin rouge, dodge is panther pink
I'm very loyal to my Chevys. But I cannot ignore how beautiful the 68 Charger is. And the 67 Mustang fastback. Both were iconic body styles IMHO/ long before I ever watched the movie Bullit. But seeing them both featured in that film firmly cemented them in my heart.
Also I like the same ones you just mentioned. I also like the 74 or 75 roadrunner. My best friends Father had one and it was the baddest one I ever seen
Once again thanks for your time. I always get excited when I get a notification from you something different and entertaining every time. For a young man to be so enthusiastic, brilliant mate. Have a good day. Your dad has passed something special to you.
Congratulations on the 500k milestone! You are truly blessed and with your witness and exsmple you are a blessing to others. Best wishes!
My family owned a Mopar Dealership from 1960 to 1984. I was a Senior in High School and was able to take a lot of those cars on dates. We sold hundreds of GTX, RRunners and Cudas. Such a special time, so thankful for the memories
Congratulations for 500k subscribers
When are we going to get to see another complete rebuild like the charger and the challenger?
Most people think you're walking through a junk yard. The people that know, know it's a gold mine! Pains me to see some old Mopars in those conditions but guys like you will give them life! You look like you're walking through heaven..car heaven. lol You do a great job interviewing people, man! That pink 70 Barracuda might of been a Playmate of the Year car. Should investigate on that.
Bringing back memories of Stanley's junk yard N.R.MASS. loved walking through there.
Thanks for sharing man! That's a lot of $$$$$ in Mopars. Someday I hope to get my hands on a 68' Charger.
As much as I like old mopars, seeing all these in one place gives me hope. Maybe someday..... I grew up in dodge trucks, and the first car I ever worked on was a 62 Chrysler 300 sport. 413 cubic inch single carb car, but had a push button torque flight, and posi 3.73 rear end. And some weird fishbowl Spedo that went to 140! I bought it for 250$ when I was 14, because the old dude who had it heard I was buying an rc car, and just wanted to give me a chance at something cooler. By the time I was 16 I could have finished the rear brakes, and put some road signs over the floor, and drove it. My dad talked me into selling it, and buying an 84 caprice classic instead.(still rear drive,v8 so I was happy). Really when I sold the Chrysler I thought I made out like a bandit(2500$). That old chrysler put me on the path. I wish I didn't get rid of it, but looking back 450ft lbs of torque, 5000lbs, and 4 wheel drums probably would have got me in trouble.
In 1973 my sister bought a 65 Sport Fury 383 2 bbl. 2 door that was perfect for $125. She traded it in for a Datsun B210 when gas went to 50 cents a gallon
Really enjoyed the tour! I'm in my eighties now, but in 1969 I bought two Mopars. The first one was a red Dodge Coronet R/T 4-speed with a 440 -6 Pack and a 3.54 rear end. Screamed off the line. The second one was also a Coronet R/T yellow in color with a 426 Hemi and two four barrel carbs. It had a 3.23 rear end and the front end would try to float above 130mph. We used to race a lot on sections of unfinished Interstate Highway in Cincinnati OH. I bought the Hemi from a dealer who had it sitting on the lot as a cancelled order, and what I didn't know at the time was that it was one of the rarest Mopar cars available. That's because it had an automatic transmission, and years later I found out there were only 39 Coronet R/T's like it built with automatic transmissions in 1969. Hundreds of Coronet R/T's with hemi engines had manual transmissions. Still cry myself to sleep over that one sometimes! lol
I really enjoyed this video. I miss going to junkyards and auto sales with my dad and this video brought those memories back 🙂
SAME HERE
Buy one Dylan. We love your builds!
Seriously we love your build
My Uncle had a 71 DEMON, Dad had a 73 Gold Duster which I still have! Both were green!
One of your best videos yet Dylan. Thanks for sharing!!
Great video! Fun to see all of the cars both Projects and Showroom condition!
Love seeing all these Mopars. Hopefully they will be restored. My Dad had a 1972 Charger SE in Forrest Green when he was a teenager. He's told me stories about that car and what mischief he caused with it. The OPP had no chance of catching him in the 1980s, those Thunderbird and Caprice Police Cruisers just couldn't keep up.
I really wanna get into a project with an old car like these. Modern cars don’t cut it for me, too bubbly.
I like the modern day Cars and trucks. No points or carbs to fiddle with. They last 300.000 miles instead of 80.000 and then ready for the scrap pile. Unless we are talking about a Ford. Then 50 years later.they are still Garbage.
@@tonyfriend7413 that’s the sad part about the old cars. If you had a car that was about to hit 100k miles, then you’ve already called the junkyard and have an appointment to take it in to sell for scrap! Cars up until the 90’s were completely shot at 80k and above, and I mean shot!! Not just needing repairs, completely shot!!! Mom and dad had a number of old bel airs, impala’s, Catalina, etc and at 60k the back axle would fall out of the bel air and you’d go skidding down the road surfing on the fuel tank, lol
Great video watched it with my 5 y/o nephew on the TV I’m not a mopar fan but these older 68-70 chargers are 🔥🔥🔥
Wow. Super cool collection. Thanks for sharing. My fav was that 70 GTX too. The others were way out of my price range. The 440-6 Chargers are amazing.
Mopars! Love em!
Very cool. I went to a mopar wrecking yard in the early 90s and passed some survivor cars because I thought they were too high priced. Duh, wish I would have snagged a couple.
Congratulations on reaching 500,000 subs! 🙌🏻
If I had the money I wouldn't have a problem buying that 70 GTX, I love that body style and hope to own one someday even if it would be a Satalite
Back in the '70's I owned a '69 and a '70 Road Runner, and a '68 GTX....then bought a '71 Charger SE. Makes me want to cry seeing all these magnificent Mopars in this condition....
Hi from uk 👋 am speachless just WOW😍 going to be some happy projects and ppl who purchase these great examples oh my 😍 thanks for yours and all involved time👍
Dylan thanks for sharing the FUN!!!!! Good One!!!!!
I may be a GM guy.. but this is absolutely awesome
Incredible video as always, I really loved the way that they’re doing their best to try and save as many cars as possible but not wasting cars either. As a Buick guy I can definitely relate to having trouble with finding good parts, they’re definitely hard to come by for some of the things I am constantly looking for such as engine parts and small chrome pieces. But also for things like quarter panels which from my research are mostly a get someone to build you a new set because they’re that hard to come by.😎👍👍 By the way, not to be that one guy. Hopefully no rules broken here, I’ve got a 66 Wildcat 4Door hardtop for sale on KIJIJI up here in Alberta if anyone is interested. Decent shape aside from the smashed up back end, she was rear ended two owners ago. Excellent candidate for restoration 😎👍👍
I really like the aspect of this company making stiffening parts for these cars and then selling them as a kit or starter car.for those of us who arent as polished in the fabrication and rebuilding end that most these cars need.kudos to there vision.!!!snooky pa.
I'm --- yrs old growing up in 70's nobody really wanted Mopar Go Cars I was still a little young to buy them but my brother bought and sold cars for a living. looking back at all the Chryslers Dodge cars I begged him to sell me on time/credit if he could have man I would be in Mopar heaven now. Oh well I can say my first car was a 69 Chrysler imperial LEAD SLED big is a understatement for that land yacht. Still love them just can't afford them now. Great video thank you.
Hey my friends, Much love and respect, i am a diehard mopar guy, i love em all. Keep up the good work. Will be moving out that way soon and looking fwd to coming to see you guy. Good luck, stay healthy, and see ya soon!
70' Plymouth Roadrunner in purple or orange is my ultimate dream car. Fairly thin on the ground here in Australia though.
My first love was a 1969 Dodge Coronet RT. It had the 440 magnum and real Ram Air. I blew away about everything in Manassas Virginia back in the late sixties and early seventies. I have owned almost every musclecar ever made at one time or another, but always think about that Coronet RT and wish i had it now. THANKS FOR THE GREAT VIDEO!
In the 1970's used Mopar were 1/2 the price of Fords & Chevys. In 76 I bought a 1970 Challenger340 4 sp shaker hood plum crazy white interior & vinyl top 3.23 rear for $800. In 1978 I bought a Swinger 340 4 spd 3.55 posi for $450, Both cars were straight and ran well, Sold both for what I paid within a year,
Great video glad you posted keep them coming thanks
Hey Dylan thank you for taking me along with you I enjoyed the video I love those old moparts
Greetings from Finland...wish i could be there and see all amazing Mopars thank you for video
Thanks Dylan nice video and info on this mopar classic hangout for parts and muscle car.
Enjoyed that. Keep up the great work. Thanks.
Great video Dylan, Amazing amount of Mopar's.
Great Video. If only knew back in the day. Old Mopar would become so in demand
Wish that I could have the opportunity to have any one of those cars. I think that it is so cool that mopars5150 are saving these cars and restoring them.
Your knowledge on these cars and parts is incredible.
I haven't watched the video yet,but I bet I get to see McCool drool! That's a lot of Mopar!
Thanks for sharing Dylan that is amazing collection of mopars be hard to go there an not spend all your cash
Hello from north Alabama! Just discovered your channel. Great content! Really enjoy watching your videos!
Wow, that place is absolutely Incredible. Good, and while you're there, you can grab a DS door for your Challenger and get rid of beat one currently on there. You know she deserves it.. Do the right thing & treat her to it! ;-) Thanks for sharing! ✌️
Thank you for sharing this video. Mopar heaven
I’m guessing and maybe reading between the lines, but I’m thinking the fact that mopar was classed as the outcast and underdog, was the reason why the dukes of hazard series back in the 70s used the charger. Just a thought.
As someone who has been driving Chrysler cars since the mid-60s, they were a underdog but only to Chevy guys. When I bought my first Hemi car( 68 roadrunner) my boss was so terrified that he sent his 427 from his Chevelle to the machine shop to get it rebuilt! And at the track I played mind games at the starting line.. long smoky burnouts to get in their head what they were up against and it worked. It was a blast.
Dylan pick your jaw up off the floor lol. Definitely some awesome cars around that place. Great video
What a very good video. I was hooked throughout the whole video.
HEAVEN!!!!
This video has made me a subscriber! Can’t wait to see more!
Awesome collection. I went to buy a radiator for my truck and he had 2 69 Plymouth road runners. One was a convertible. Which he said he made out of a Plymouth satellite. The hard top was in beautiful condition. I think it was green. The convertible was not finished. But like u said in this video. Things u dont see everyday.
This was a really good video thank you for sharing got to see some of my favorite mopars it good to know they are trying to save em cool video thanks 👍👍👍👍👍
This is this is heaven for me. Beautiful cars I would love to see Mopar cars at 5150
I would love to see a video of the Cali cars! I was surprised not to see Super Birds Daytona's and hemi engines there.. My first car choice is Ford, but I love ALL muscle cars. Back years ago I was given a ride in a 69 Charger SE 383 with a 4-speed all I can say about that ride is WOW!
Cant wait for the vid of the Cali trip great vid good works God bless
What a great video! I will definitely check out their California location the next time I am out there.
Dylan i appreciate all muscle cars! Amazing this collection of dodge muscle cars! Thanks for this! Wow the white charger is absolutely beautiful!! Would love to have it!
Thank you for the fantastic video Dylan 👍.
Awesome car sale enjoyed seeing all those chargers cudas roadrunners my favorite was the blue on blue roadrunner with blue steel wheels
Amazing cars Dylan, I am 59 and back in the late 70's I could have bought light green Superbee 4 speed for $1800.00 I live outside Ottawa Ontario Canada. I think it as a 71😄
One of the best videos I’ve seen.👌🏽
Just a amazing collection, my dream is a 68 Dart . Cheers
Talk about a kid in a candy store! Im drooling just watching.
I currently own a 72 340/4speed roadrunner , hemi orange / Dover white interior car 1of 329 built . 425hp 440 torque ,I'm not afraid of any big blocks lol love the car a lot of fun to drive . Great to see these mopars! Mopar or no car !
Thanks for the tour, When I started watching your video I said holy beep I can't believe the cars wow. Something about the demon car. My buddy used to have one they called it the purple demon ,was a beautiful car.
If you checknout mo-par city in Oregon, IL They're selling the same kinda stuff but dirt cheap since it's all going to the scrapper in a month or two
Congratulations on half of Millions subscribers. 🎉🤙✅✔️🙌
Awesome collection although I’m not a Mopar guy. Thank you Dylan. Cheers from California.
I can’t believe you didn’t stop and look at the AAR more
Reminds me of the MOPAR’s I owned in the 80’s. 1969 Coronet 4door sedan with a 70 383 and 727 until I messed up the front suspension then owned a 69 coronet 2door and reinstall the 383 and transmission in it.
In 1970 I bought a Plymouth Duster 340 with 3 speed on the floor. Bench seats without carpet and no stripes or marking on the body. It looked like a plain duster. I loved pulling up to red lights and blowing the doors off many cars! Sure wish I had it today because it was a ripper! It was green in color too.
Miss my 76 Duster too. Dropped my psi to not spin off the line. My highway nemesis has a lime green 340, kicked my ass every time but I never backed down.
Nice can't wait
great video brings back some great memories
I am told there are no two Cudas exactly alike. They all had some unique option or features.
That was awesome man!
Thanks for sharing God Bless you an your family stay safe an Healthy 🙏
Well that explains where the Speedkore guys where going when I seen em leave from my area at work. Guess I'll have check in with them on Monday
A real nice collection of Dodge and Plymouth muscle cars!
Great video Mr. Dylan! 👍 Btw.... no A/C was available on the 440 6pack or the hemi cars. 😎
Dylan you had that kid in a candy store look all over your face, that's an amazing place really great video oh, much better than driving a pinto home LOL
This is one sweet place of Mopar HEAVEN!!!!
