  • It’s sad as a player and a manager to get ejected and then just sit in the clubhouse all by yourself and watch the game on tv. It’s like getting sent to your room and stay there and never come back out

    • Several ways to handle this. Break the union, now you have to earn your stripes. Make these umpires get fit, you don't see fat in hoops and ice hockey. Mandatory retirement at 60, the game gets quicker as you get older. Do not touch players, if a player touched them they could knocked on their ass. Balls and strikes and base position must score 80% minimum. It will give them a better for the game and themselves.

      @tomrusso9892@tomrusso9892 Жыл бұрын
    • @@tomrusso9892 MLB umpires already get 90+ accuracy on balls/strikes (and that's going up as new umpires replace the older ones). Players need to STFU and play & Managers need to STFU and manage. No other sports league tolerates screaming players and coaches and none of them allow a coach to run onto the field to scream at the umpire for 10 minutes, start throwing bases around and get in their faces like they do in baseball.

    • @@zjjohnson3827there were a couple of those incidents I remember when that happened to Chris Sabo, I think Sammy Sosa also this situation doesn't have anything to do with those but, it's called corking your bat, you hollow it out and fill the core with cork, it makes the bat lighter and the ball goes further.

      @daltonfarris@daltonfarris8 ай бұрын
    • @@zjjohnson3827yeah you’re talking about corking, you drill a hole in the middle of the bat then plug it to take weight off the bat (and a debunked belief that it causes the barrel to be more springy). Sammy Sosa and Chris Sabo are the most prominent cases of guys who got caught cause their bats broke revealing the cork. There’s also a fun story of Albert Belle’s teammates sneaking into the umpire’s room in the clubhouse to steal his bat that was gonna be inspected for a cork.
