    • You have to keep in mind that people on low carb and keto diets often eat less than those eating more carbohydrates, so it may seem more expensive, but that food is going farther if someone is doing OMAD, only eating a couple times a day or doing several day fasts. So not necessarily expensive

I don’t follow all of his recommendations or his way of eating, but I find a lot of his videos pretty informative. My health and nutrition journey actually started with his channel. So I’m very grateful to him for that. Thank you for your review, Abby. I love how respectful you always are.

It's all about balance for me. I grew up always trying diets,and obsessing over calories and macros. Now I just try to eat healthier foods with good ingredients,but I also have learned over the years that I cannot be super restrictive because I will binge. So ya, I would say I am coming out on the other side of getting a healthier relationship with food,food, Bobby's tips are awesome. I feel like abby totally attacked him. She wants to talk about drinking games...if I took a shot for every time she rolled her eyes at his video, or parent shamed him....id be passed out. Lol I really wish Abby would be more open to diff ways of eating. Even though she said " if keto makes you feel good then good for you",but yet she rolled her eyes at every low carb meal he ate. I am not keto or paleo,but gggeeezzzz I respect people's alternative ways of eating. If keto or paleo isn't ur jam...dont watch. I dunno...I just feel she is so negative about so many people. I have only seen ONE video of someone she likes. I have stayed away from her channel for that reason,her videos are always so negative that it leaves me with a ho hum feeling afterwards. I dunno why I watched this one....I guess I was expecting something different ?

      @laceybanter5937@laceybanter59372 жыл бұрын
    • @Lisa V It’s law regulations that makes US produced food in general so bad compared to the countries of the European Union (27 countries) The EU has much much stricter requirements about foods and the US doesn’t live up to them by far. Any pesticide, food additives, anything has to be proven safe by research and studies, submitted to the scientific divisions of the EU agricultural agency, before approved. GMO is banned in the EU. My country, Sweden (EU member) banned the use of growth hormones and antibiotics in healthy animals in 1985, first country in the world to do so. The rest of the world is slowly picking up now. Sweden has very strict animal welfare and environmental laws to. I can see the difference in for instance meat from abroad and when I travel abroad. The taste is so much better in domestic foods. In Sweden we don’t have salmonella anymore. We love US food across Europe - burgers and what not are extremely popular - but we don’t want to eat it produced in the US and most or the vast majority is banned from import because it doesn’t hold up to the food regulation laws.

  • As a type 1 diabetic, there's nothing I find more irritating then when people call a food 'diabetic friendly' because it's low carb. There are 2 things wrong with this: 1. type 1 diabetics can eat carbs!!!! We just have to match our insulin dose and insulin timing to the carbs in the food we eat, so we can literally eat anything everyone else can. 2. if a diabetic does choose to go low carb (which is totally their right and should be decided on personal preference, NOT what other people think is best for you), these foods still aren't 'diabetic friendly'. In the absence of carbs, protein and fat affect blood sugar levels, and a type 1 diabetic will instead have to calculate insulin ratios for protein and fat, rather than carbs. Can we stop seeing 'diabetes' as a one size fits all disease?!

    @diabeticbeckyfitness4879@diabeticbeckyfitness48792 жыл бұрын
    • Yes! I have diabetes type 2... but I also hate a lot of the “diabetic friendly“ stuff because not every diabetic has the same reaction to the same types of food. • I grew up with a dad who has a very similar attitude toward food as Bobby, and I even followed Bobby's videos every week for a few years, and while I'm glad I developed a taste for healthy foods like fruits and vegetables, I would have REALLY preferred to have my parent be less obsessive about what we ate. It made me really anxious about my food choices, and like Abbey said, once I did get the chance to eat what I want, I went wild and ate just about anything that I hadn't eaten before. I'm fortunate that I didn't develop an ED, but I did have an unhealthy relationship with food and I'm glad I have a much healthier relationship with it now. To this day though, I still deal with health-related anxiety because my dad kept hammering the importance of how certain foods will prevent cancer and others will cause it every single day. So, I do believe there is definitely something to be said about how obsession with clean eating can have detrimental effects on one's physical and mental health. Also, I wasted a lot of money as a broke college student on simultaneously trying delicious "unhealthy" foods I'd never gotten to eat before and grocery shopping expensive "healthy" supplements and powders and oils to "counterbalance."

    • I mean, at least you grew up being instilled with healthy clean eating methods and habits. My parents were the opposite and let me eat myself into childhood obesity. Now I am unlearning all healthy habits and trying to reverse my food/eating addiction. Trying to help them but unfortunately they don’t care and now my dad is diabetic with high blood pressure.
