Fitting New Windows In The Cottage And Fix Old Ones In The Château. Ep11

This week at the Château, it’s all work on the windows.
With Tony fitting a set of new double glazed windows in the bathroom of the cottage, this may sound like an easy task but it has its problems for Tony as you will see, making the bathroom feel more like a idyllic cottage rather than a prison.
Also at the Château, Ash has been busy tackling some of the old windows that have been damaged form the years of neglect, making the Château warm and dry to carry on with the woodworm treatment throughout the building.
And If you would like to join us on our family journey restoring this once abandoned château, then please just follow the link below, 🥰

About us and our story
We are a family from Middlesbrough in the North-East of England following our dream to restore a beautiful abandoned french Château. We discovered the heart stopping Château De Lalacelle in summer of 2020, this beautiful architectural monument Is set in the countryside of North-West France.
The moment we visited the Château we all fell in love, from the beautiful sweeping landscape and forests, to its stunning untouched interiors and magnificent spiral staircase in the turret.
Unfortunately Château De Lalacelle has been abandoned for a number of decades so will need a lot of restoration and DIY.
Please subscribe and follow our families journey, with the up’s and down’s in moving from the UK to rural France and restoring this beautiful Château to its former glory.

    • @@clotildeturner8900 I agree, also I made the mistake of having my bath in front of our bathroom window, luckily here in the uk, u have to have a special window, u can’t actually see through it, it’s like a blurry pattern, ANYWAY now if we need to open our window u have to stand in the bath to open it, ALSO I think having a double basin in front of the window is best because when u are brushing ur teeth or washing ur hands u can actually look out of the window and enjoy the view, no one wants to have the bath there n have people staring at u while u r naked 😂 so I agree with u, all the bath will do is block access to the window, and spoil the view, ALSO I think the bath is beautiful! If you put the bathtub under the window, just a half curtain would provide privacy while bathing if it was necessary, or just a folding tripitch-type thingy. The original windows are nice, but the new ones will be easier to clean. Something wonderful can happen to the old windows.

Than on the other long wall the're some strange lovely wall fixtures. Maybe a good spot to place a mirror in between and the sink underneath it? I applaud you for being born with two right hands. The way you seem to tackle every piece of the eleborate chateau puzzle is realy amazing. I wish you all well and take care on the ladder and the scaffolding.

  • Look forward to the 2022 Calendar featuring Tony In 12 assorted DIY poses lacking at least 50% of the required attire. Please don't blame me, It's just an Idea I heard Terry mention back at Sweeney Dog. 😁 👍

    • @@derekbriggs6207 It's to late as proved by these Video's, you can turn your hand to anything. 😁 Yet again more fine craftmanship from your good self, you should have had Ash lumping them tiles up that ladder. Keep up your good work your life with the wife depends on It. 👍

  • So good to take the bars out they could trap in case of fire or another terrible event that would cause evacuation.
