Boris Johnson was initially turned away from his polling place after forgetting to bring a valid ID - despite the rule being introduced by him when he was Prime Minister.
Mr Johnson quit as PM two years ago - and ran afoul of the Elections Act 2022. The new law requires everyone who votes to produce a valid photo ID in order to cast their ballot.
Why did he forget it? Epic incompetence, epic entitlement...or epic narcissism? James O'Brien figures out why...

Johnson's Housemaster, in a letter to it's parents said "Boris genuinely believes it an affront that He should follow the same rules as everyone else" (Or words to that effect).

But how does that work if you are required to show a photo id no matter who you vote for? How would anyone in the polling station know who you intended to vote for before you actually did vote?

Boris "forgetting" something? Seriously? As a result of his silly law, the turnout at our local polling station at our normal polling time of 8pm was amazing. A queue of about 50-60 people waiting in line. Normally only 3 or 4.
It was a typical example of the exceptionalism detected by his form master all those years ago. The pesky rules do not apply to him.
