I keep reading that you can store any coins on Etherium's block chain network in MEW, but if they are coins which the video would suggest based on the fact you used ShapeShift, why are they stored as tokens in MEW? And are the tokens equivalent to TRX coin? Can the TRX tokens stored in MEW be used to buy other crypto coins, or be moved into another coin wallet as opposed to a token wallet?

If a token is built on top of ethereum, you can just send it directly from an exchange to your ether wallet correct? You dont have to go through sties like ShapeShift right?

Hi Daniel, thanks for your informative videos! I was hoping to find the answer to a question unfortunately you didn't mention the answer in the video (likely because the question makes no sense - I'm new to crypto). Here is the question: I was told that Myetherwallet is the ETH equivalent of what Bitaddress is to BTC, meaning a form of paper wallet. I know that with Bitaddress, once your private key was used in connection with the internet, it is so longer safe and you are better off creating a new paper wallet with Bitaddress. Does this principle also apply to Myetherwallet? Meaning would my account safety also be sacrificed one I send coins or tokens to another address (as it is the case with paper wallts from Bitaddress)? Thanks already for all your input and keep up the good work. Helps guys like my understand this new universe !

Tangiek popslokyes Thank you! The gas slider is how much of a fee you want to pay for the transaction you're sending. For a simple send, you can get away with a 4 gwei transaction, it will get accepted pretty fast and cost very little. Just be warned, if the network is congested because many people are sending transactions, it will take longer for your transactions to get picked up.

Matthew Larrubia I would use the same wallet but it's not a bad idea to separate them, maybe have a "cold wallet" to leave coins and tokens to sit, and a hot wallet that you use for regular transferring.

Help, anyone my etherium wallet. When I view etherium transactions history on my etherium wallet it shows .63 in. (Last transaction.) Nothing out. Sometimes when I login it shows .63 but sometimes it shows .088 eth. , In same hour. If I go to send ether and click SEND ALL .63 shows up in the long rectangular box. But the square box ON THE RIGHT still shows .088 If I click Send all it says insufficient funds. ANYONE KNOW WHY?

Saadain Syed your unfortunately going to need to have multiple wallets to hold different types of crypto. You could look into Prism which lets you easily buy multiple cryptos but they charge a fee. prism.exchange

chad socolovitch There is no "logging in", you can decrypt your keystore wallet to see how much money is in it on MyEtherWallet. I do not know anything about mining, but if they ask you where to send your payments, just give them your public address.

Alex Welch at 1:05, you download that keystore file. You need to take that keystore file and put it on your new computer to be able to send funds. If you lose your keystore file, you have permanently lost all of your funds. Although not the most secure option, sending yourself an email with the file could save you heartache in the future. The downside is if someone hacks your email and finds the file, they'll eventually crack the password on the keystore and steal your funds.

You don't need any money in your wallet for mining, also look on their website, typically they only payout when you hit a certain goal (it may be like a minimum of X Eth, you have to read it on their websites.)

ShiniCP9 great question! It all depends on how congested the network is. If no one else is trying to send transactions at the time, set it low and it will be picked up. If the network is under heavy use, you'll need to set it higher or else it will never get picked up. Check out what the suggested gas price is on here: ethgasstation.info/

Noob question: Can I just use one MEW to store multiple tokens from ICOs and other Ether based tokens or do I need to create a separate MEW for each ICO or Coin/Token?

Hi, I'm a newcomer to the ICO scene I just wanna clarify if my process is correct. 1. Buy ETH with USD with Coinbase 2. Transfer ETH from coinbase to My Etherum Wallet. 3. Purchase tokens in ICO using MEW with ETH. 4. Transfer said tokens from MEW to Bittrex. 5. Sell said tokens on Bittrex for ETH or BTC. 6. Transfer the ETH or BTC back to Coinbase where i sell it for USD. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I recently withdrew my appcoins (APPC) from binance into myetherwallet but they show up as an N/A token? I made the mistake of withdrawing before I created a custom token so that may be my problem. Have you ever ran into this issue of having an N/A token and what did you do?

Shrish Jain yes! If you ever wanted to receive payments, that's the address people would put in the "To:" field.

hmmm im using chrome browset but when i select my utc file nothing happens, cant put password or unlock, it just says select wallet file even though i selected it, strange

Tangiek popslokyes Thank you! The gas slider is how much of a fee you want to pay for the transaction you're sending. For a simple send, you can get away with a 4 gwei transaction, it will get accepted pretty fast and cost very little. Just be warned, if the network is congested because many people are sending transactions, it will take longer for your transactions to get picked up.

Matthew Larrubia I would use the same wallet but it's not a bad idea to separate them, maybe have a "cold wallet" to leave coins and tokens to sit, and a hot wallet that you use for regular transferring.
Help, anyone my etherium wallet. When I view etherium transactions history on my etherium wallet it shows .63 in. (Last transaction.) Nothing out. Sometimes when I login it shows .63 but sometimes it shows .088 eth. , In same hour. If I go to send ether and click SEND ALL .63 shows up in the long rectangular box. But the square box ON THE RIGHT still shows .088 If I click Send all it says insufficient funds. ANYONE KNOW WHY?

Saadain Syed your unfortunately going to need to have multiple wallets to hold different types of crypto. You could look into Prism which lets you easily buy multiple cryptos but they charge a fee. prism.exchange
i signed in to Myetherwallet using Trezor and i was able to send all my TRX from Binance but it didnt give me no Private Key it says unscrypted. something about downloading Keystore File but i cant find it on Myetherwallet can someone please help me get private keys? do i have to make another Myetherwallet?

chad socolovitch There is no "logging in", you can decrypt your keystore wallet to see how much money is in it on MyEtherWallet. I do not know anything about mining, but if they ask you where to send your payments, just give them your public address.

Daniel, so if I get a new computer, how do I access myetherwallet from that new computer? Do I just enter the private key again?
Alex Welch at 1:05, you download that keystore file. You need to take that keystore file and put it on your new computer to be able to send funds. If you lose your keystore file, you have permanently lost all of your funds. Although not the most secure option, sending yourself an email with the file could save you heartache in the future. The downside is if someone hacks your email and finds the file, they'll eventually crack the password on the keystore and steal your funds.
If you save your private key, though, can't you still access your wallet without the keystore file?

You don't need any money in your wallet for mining, also look on their website, typically they only payout when you hit a certain goal (it may be like a minimum of X Eth, you have to read it on their websites.)

ShiniCP9 great question! It all depends on how congested the network is. If no one else is trying to send transactions at the time, set it low and it will be picked up. If the network is under heavy use, you'll need to set it higher or else it will never get picked up. Check out what the suggested gas price is on here: ethgasstation.info/

ShiniCP9 you are fine! Unfortunately I don't know of any other websites to buy Ethereum. Also, if you want to buy other tokens you'll need to look at other exchanges like Bittrex, Bitfinex, Polofinex.
