This is the PS1 version. There's not much visual difference from the PC version but there are slowdowns due to well, the PS1. The upside is you get that sweet, sweet dithering.
This time around, I disregard all secrets as they do not provide supplies. This is not a guide, the goal here is purely nostalgia related.
In addition, this is segmented and edited. It might look like it was done in one go but it wasn't.
I'm using Vulkan rendering and PGXP as well as a widescreen hack. PGXP introduces clipping which is prevalent throughout the entire playthrough.
In the PS1 version, you cannot switch weapons or use items except flares without opening the menu like you can in the PC version by using the number keys. I minimize menu usage as much as I can. I would estimate less than a minute of the video is spent in the menu.
Notes
Some in-game cutscenes have partially desynced voice overs/sound effects. Not sure if this is the emulator or an issue inherent to the PS1 version. This affects the cutscene at the end of Escape With The Iris the most, where half a sentence is completely cut off. It's not important to the story, just pure fluff as most dialogue tends to be in the classic Tomb Raiders.
You lose all of your items when you finish each set of levels, so there's even less incentive to hoard stuff.
The Ireland set of levels are really great. I wish the series had leaned more on its horror side rather than trying to be an action game.

I had to print a guide from the internet to be able to beat the game back in 2001, in those days the internet average speed was like 56Kb/s lol, no KZhead, no video streaming, simpler times
Yeah but you can’t tell me that is was simpler trying to find out how to beat games back then a lot of people didn’t have access to guides and stuff back then it is way easier now to figure things out.
I believe you, I used to read them to my dad while he tried to surpass each level lol those were good times.
You could buy guides from the shop in a book format and there was also 24 hour help lines for tomb raider years ago! They would help or give you the buttons to skip the level if you got stuck (game breaking Scenario)

Can u tell me game name? Game plot is like this: the girl has two guns. When game starts, a girl enter a room, a demon tries to stab her from backside with a trident. The demons were get killed by girl in the game, but they reappear on same place after some seconds. On the way she finds a hall having access to three rooms. The middle one is fire room. If she goes, she dies. She either had to choose left or right one. The right one was difficult. So I chooses left one. There were laser rods coming and going on the foot steps. After coming down she finds a demon, kills it and move further. Next there is a moving robot, that robot is like round sweeping machines . I can't kill it. It tries to give electric shock to me. If I fire, it goes in a hall and charges itself again and attack me. I had to move next room where I don't find anyone but someone kills me. It's a old game

When I was a kid me and my brother both played these games for what felt like forever and we never beat them. Now I recently realized they're all like 3-4 hours long lol

@@matthewwilliams3827 Chronicles was exceptionally short, though. The other games were much longer, especially the 4th.
Only when you know what to do. Very few people beat the Tomb Raider games in under 8 hours on their first go. Chronicles may be shorter than the first 4, but it's still a difficult game.

That might sound like a really strange question about an old PS1 game but what car is that at 1:12? Looks like the rear bench has it's own bar counter top which is pretty neat. Never seen a car interior like that not even in a VIP car like Rolls Royce...

No matter how many years since this and I still thinking why this tomb raider was so short in levels, I was used to see 20 leves plus expansion and this one had just like 12
actually surprised that this was the first game to include basic weapon crafting.

Wtf Lara. She let Pierre fall into abyss just after he helped her. And she's trying to save some admiral after he jailed her. Writers have remembered they created bi*th and wanted to warm her appearance?
Yeah totally don't get it. Also, the game quality was lower than the previous version imho.
Pierre has tried to kill her multiple times over the years though! And the admiral didn't kill her when he could have. Maybe that's the reasoning?

No, at the end of the previous game, Last Revelation she is trapped inside the tomb of Seth. She is presumed dead. At the end of this game they dig her out. That leads into the storyline for Angel of Darkness where Lara is accused of killing her mentor Von Croy because there was an altercation were Lara accuses him of leaving her for dead in the tomb.
