10 Worst Watches In Ben's Watch Club History! (SHOCKING)

2024 ж. 22 Мам.

In this video, I go over the worst watches ever seen on the Ben's Watch Club channel. Based on my experiences, these are among the worst watches to buy in 2021 and should be avoided at all costs. Some of these watch brands are great but simply missed the mark with a particular piece. Others, however, are complete scumbags.

  • Some sections of this video have been blurred post-upload to avoid breaking Amazon’s updated terms of service for their affiliate program. Affiliates are no longer permitted to use Amazon web pages in their videos, and we can’t afford to get booted, as it makes up a large portion of our revenue. They threatened to boot us if we didn’t comply. It sucks, right?

    • "Affiliates are no longer permitted to use Amazon web pages in their videos" TRANSLATION Amazon doesn't want people to know they happily allow dubious companies to promote and sell their products through their website. Amazon is like Disney. They preach about equality and human rights YET do business with China and other countries who are the VERY SAME countries who have spent over 50 years abusing and oppressing their people. The West is a hypocrite. If people KNEW what conditions workers from these countries work in and how their governments treat them? People would be ashamed buying their products.

They might not be into watches, but you can bet if they were, it would be straight for the Rolex's (not saying Rolex's are bad) but let's be honest - anyone who cares about how they are perceived by others and want to give off that look of success would just gravitate toward Rolex, they don't need to do the research it takes that normally watch enthusiasts would...

  • Years ago when I was still new to the “style rabbit hole” I had bought a watch from The Fifth after seeing a video from RMRS the watch looked...fine but the original strap was itchy and unwearable. It wasn’t until much later I came across your channel exposing MVMT. That level of honesty really hooked me especially after you exposed The Fifth and Vincero (a brand I had really been interested in thanks to those bigger style channels). I definitely felt betrayed by Antonio and those other bigger channels to the point I stopped watching them entirely. I still have The Fifth watch mainly as a reminder that most “guru” types are usually just after their own interests. Without the OG Ben Arthur channel I’d probably have sunk a few hundred into a vincero watch and a pair of fancy dress shoes that don’t fit right.

  • The worst watch I ever saw was at Target, as part of their otherwise fine Goodfellow clothing line. It was a quartz monstrosity with zero branding on the dial, a fixed fake rotating bezel, and "pushers" that were molded into the case body of the watch. The funny thing is they were also selling perfectly acceptable Timex watches right next to them.

Anything you say would be helpful! Hope you have a great day

  • Glad to see a Lorus in the opening clip of the video. I myself have one that belonged to my grandfather, a V515-8A00 "Gent's wristwatch, gold-tone, quarts." which unfortunately wasn't operating. A quick trip to the watch hospital and it's thankfully had a movement made for it by Seiko that should last it! It is immaculate, not a single scratch and the coloring is still as if it's fresh from the store.

    • The only bad thing about the Orient was it's water resistance. You made it sound like it was the ugliest watch ever made and that it was made of bad parts or something. The watch looks just fine.

  • Having worked for FOSSIL watches, I can tell you without a doubt that was an outlet watch- which are terrible 😳. An authentic FOSSIL is much nicer in quality and movement. The leather is real and ages well, and the movement is a lot better. Another shot at them, is alll I’m saying haha

  • Hi Ben, I don't know how I've missed this "10 Worst" video, as I've been watching your channel for a couple of years. The reason for this comment is that you have such a GREAT, biting sense of humor that I found myself watching it twice. You are definitely funny when you want to be. I'm almost hesitant to mention this (especially on a public forum but...I too fell prey to the slick marketing schtick and lead on by an influencer which I've now come to realize is nothing more than a "Snake Oil Salesman" (for reasons in another venue.) Anyway the watch, and I use that term in the loosest sense, should go unnamed. Suffice to say it's the "Chrono" version of a brand that begins with the letter "V." I even tried to dress it up with steel bracelet to replace the cardboard strap masquerading as "Genuine Italian Leather" but it was just trying to put lipstick on a pig. I wound up wearing it only once in the two years that it has been in my watch box and no matter how I've tried, I just can't do it a second time. There, I feel somewhat better fessing up to the fact that I was duped. Keep up the good work which you do showing "The Good The Bad and (unfortunately) The Ugly" watches in this vast universe of personal time pieces. Cheers!

  • I am usually a big fan of Orient, but the SK "diver" made me wonder if they had been bought out by some awful company that wanted to destroy their brand. Cheap and Gaudy is the perfect description. Re: Vincero, the herpes of watch ads, it took me ages to stop the barrage of ads and videos trying to sell me one of their overpriced watches. I am afraid to say the word Vincero out loud in front of my phone, for fear of unleashing another assault of Vincero ads.

  • Excellent & Honest video , I did not agree on your Miyota movement is bad content , but i know miyota movt. watches must sell cheap & it feels sad that many watches with sunon movement (China) retail for $ 100 /- under good brand names , all Miyota movt. watches (Fossil) are sold for like $ 150 - 300 /- whereas the movt. cost like $ 20 - 30 /- at most.

  • Vincero had an ad before you can click past it on youtube a couple of weeks/months ago about unboxing. It was something like: "First impression wow, it got marble in the back, cool design and the strap is a little stiff but that just means it will last a long time"

  • Thanks allot for a another awsome vid! But for real ben. You should make a webshop, selling the spaghetti scametti , and just do a "honest Trailer " style page about the watch, ( ik u made a awsome video) and take just a small proccent for markupp, It would sell, and i would be sooo fun to just push it into somones face, and it would be soo fun to recomend to the " Im wearing the lastet clothing next to my Mvmt watch or simular barand - style person" and then recomend them to check your "italian brand out" just to spite them! Thanks for all your hard work!

  • I ended up buying that same Braun. Fits fine on my medium-size wrist. It was on special price on their website ($90 I think?). When it arrived, I found out why. The second hand was hitting the marks unlike the one you showed, but the case back was marred! Someone used unprotected metal pliers to unscrew the back to replace the battery that apparently must have died while sitting in inventory like several reviews on Amazon mentioned. They used one set of holes to open, and a separate set of holes to close. They also slipped, because there's a spot on the back that was clearly rubbed/scuffed down after a scratch. I do wear it because you can't see the blemishes, but if it had been a gift it would have been an embarrassment.
