I found a super rare shell! This shell is so super rare that I had never seen it so I was excited to get home and figure out what it was. What’s crazy is I found 3 other really beautiful specimens on the same day!

Second of all I can't help but notice how gorgeous your natural nails are even while you're picking through all the shells and stuff you manage to keep them that nice I am definitely envious. Anyways I will be subscribing this is so cool to me

    • Welcome aboard Ashley! I share a new beach walk every Sunday and I love sharing all the interesting things I find along the way. Thank you for the nail compliment! It's a good thing I don't try to keep them painted as I would probably spend as much time on them as I do editing videos! 😅

  • Thank you so much for your videos. I'm from Sydney Australia, and had relatives that lived on the Queensland coast. Ever since I was a kid I loved the Christmas holiday trips up there (summer here then), and the highlight for little me was to wander along beaches collecting shells. I inherited my Grandma's seashell collection, and enjoy seeing some of the shells you collect that look like mine.

  • Wouldn't you agree that Kice Island is the Disney World of Shelling! My very favorite place in the world now. I am still cleaning all the fantastic finds from my January Shell Camp trip. I can't imagine living near there. I agree with you, I could spend Every Single Day there! Thank you for sharing and that cone was AMAZING and the Gautys and the True Tulip, shucks there are no ugly shells are they!

    • Kice is pretty magical. It's a ton of work for me to get my kayak down there, then kayak to the islands and all that, but boy the rewards are second to none. Yes, Kice really is the Disney World of shelling. Luckily the entrance fee is free if you can get there!

  • Brilliant congrats on the rare ones and all the pretty ones! I craft woven pieces that I line and make into baskets. I look for and use mostly drilled pretty small somewhat flat and clam shaped shells on their top rim lol so I leave the heavier big ones I just cant use them and until finding you I never knew they were so valuable to shellers. Now I will pick up a few : )

    • Your woven pieces sound pretty. Someone recently showed us how to sew baskets from clothesline wrapped in cloth. They are beautiful and I want to make one with shells sewed onto it. Shoot, there's tons of stuff I'd like to make and I just can't seem to find the time! I sell some of my shells too so I can keep hunting and not worry about running out to room - LOL!

  • What cool finds! I used to find shells like that when living in GTMO, Cuba. My ex also found a HUGE apple murex (he was an avid diver, too). A collector even offered him big bucks for it, but he said no and kept it. I used to make earrings and necklaces with many of the shells I found. Wasn't easy finding matching pairs haha. That was over 30yrs ago and I still have boxes and boxes of all the shells I found there.
