Halley Van Lith and Georgia Amoore are both damn good and will face off again this year. We break down their games. Is HVL chasing what Amoore has which is the ability to score and play point? Who will be the higher WNBA draft pick. We take a look.
Amoore is so slept on, she could easily be really high in the places of many players if she had eyes on her. But I think VT is already backed with many good players where Louisville only had HVL (Louisville fans don’t come at me). I’m so excited to watch her play

Man I'm a fan of both, they have a lot of similarities and a lot of differences at the same time... you said it all, Georgia plays the 1 while HVL always played the 2... just different styles of play. Georgia is more athletic and it's crazy how she's still slept on, even after that Final Four run with VT! . On HVL, I can't wait to see how she looks running Point at LSU. November 30th can't come soon enough!

HVL disappeared in the NCAA quarterfinals this past season and the ACC tournament this past season. She wasn’t even the best player for Louisville in those games. Amoore was the complete opposite. She set 3 point scoring record in ACC tournament. And was a great leader for the Hokies.
They both got that dawg in em. This is a tough comparison. They both bring something different to the game.
If you could combine them then really cooking with gas. Amoore.steo.back and passing with HVL ability to attack rim and score through contact. But u can't have it all.
as a leftie, I should root for HVL, as a Hokie, Amoore wins. Really nice clip, good research, can't say I've seen pictures of Ballarat until now. We, of course have seen both play in the ACC. Yeah, WNBA is a tough get, with all of 144 positions available. (I'd be curious to know what the yearly turnover is) and you're suggesting that despite all the fireworks they'd still only be the 3rd and 4th pg chosen this year if Amoore doesn't take her covid year. Hate to see her go though, already missing her and Kitley. Their friendship has also been special and a great story line.

Excellent comparison. I'm not very confident at this point that Van Lith's game will translate well to the W. We'll see how quickly she picks up point guard skills. If she can, that will obviously raise her draft stock. And as we know about the W, just because a player is drafted doesn't mean they'll stick on a roster.
Great video and well done comparison of these two talented and committed players. One additional comment though, we don’t like the term “Vah-Tech” - it is “Tech”, “Virginia Tech”, or the “Hokies.” Loved the video though ❤

They both can make it, especially Georgia. She has elite speed, handles, and court vision. Pair that with her deep range and she makes up for what she lacks in height.
Amoore is 5 times better than HVL

I agree she's more of a point guard capable of actually running an offense and is the unquestioned leader of the Hokies which means a lot more to me than just being able to score but that's just my opinion 🤷🤷

Yes they are. I think Amoore is more likely to make a roster as change.of pace and with her 3pt shooting. But to be determined. I do like them both and sort of hope they come back for 5th year. But doubtful

I do think that will play a big factor, but Georgia to me has so much more in her bag that she doesn’t necessarily have to use in college. Seeing clips from that dawg camp made me realize she may have a lot of moves that can really help her when she gets in the league. I think she can stay on a roster though.
Amoore would have fit really well into Iowa but for you know who.

Amoore is a far better player. She's at her best playing team ball, whereas HVL is best if she's got the Green Light. I'd choose Georgia if I had to fill a PG position, simply because of what I expect from my PG's, as a coach. It's fun to get 20 or 30, but you're losing if your teammates are just there to rebound, defend, and set picks for you. Amoore is the better PG. Van Lith is the better natural scorer. She sucked at LSU because she had help everywhere, and she had to share the ball by default. That meant She was bound by the system that allowed everyone else to play freely.
Every time you say "Vah Tech" it's like a nails on a chalkboard. Nobody says "Gah Tech" or "Lah Tech".. It's either VT, Virginia Tech, VPI or Hokies.. Even ESPN broadcasts apologize to TV when they say "Vah Tech" because that not the schools name. Also they both already played each other when it was VT vs Louisville.. Louisville lost.. As you can see, one stayed at their school the next season and the other transfered to be surrounded by 4 and 5 star players so she can look better.

What has you ignoring Emily Ryan as a PG prospect?
I hate van lith's attitude. yes she's worked hard but she it doesn't show. she's awkward, her shot is very weird and she always lands off balance. I love Amoore. she is fluid, probably has a higher b-ball IQ and is a better teammate. if she's asked to fill a certain role, she will accommodate. van lith seems to think she's a great player. I just don't see it
Georgia is way better. HVL is nice though.

Halley Van Lith is overrated as a Basketball player and PG..She did nothing for Louisville and now doing nothing for LSU..Typical..Halley Van Lith will be lucky if she plays in the WNBA...She has no height to play in the league..Better off overseas....
