MindQ has curated a compilation of the 15 most ancient figures and entities that have made appearances in both television and comics. Generally, the normal longevity of humans is approximately 100 years, although individuals who possessed a strong connection to the Force were capable of living up to 200 years. Emperor Palpatine, prior to his demise, had already reached the age of 117, however, he does not appear on this list. Even Chewbacca, who is 235 years old, is not considered sufficiently ancient. Additionally, we will not be incorporating force ghosts into the project.
I love all your vid ❤❤❤ pin pls
That you ask for a pin guarantees that you are a child
Aside from the fact that their channel is over 11 years old, yep

how could something live for a billion years on a barren asteroid? does that much food just come floating by?
An extremely slow digestion process and fairly efficient energy consumption rates. The thing that might not make sense are his teeth, too big for something that prey things by swallowing them whole. Although being that old might imply there's little to no variability in his species DNA which makes his carnivore teeth just vestigial ones, inherited from smaller, perhaps planet-dwelling ancestors.
They are silicon based lifeforms - they literaly eat asteroids. And teeth can be for digging.
@@franqusco My take: They aren't supposed to be titanic creatures, so their teeth are for their younger age, and as such, smaller size. Their teeth growing may be simply a byproduct of their own growth, and so the giant teeth become a rudimentary organ.
Probably a combination of the comments here and I would say maybe it goes into hibernation for long periods of time
Because starwars fans, they’ll make the most logic out of the littlest logic
The Sith Emperor Vitiate should have been on this list, he’s over 1,400 years old.
Yeah but for most of that time he was not technically alive
But he died
@@fighters9881 Yes that’s true, but he still counts.
@@rileyduncan3927 Also he isnt canon anymore
@@fighters9881 neither is abeloth and i don't know about the plant guy.
Abeloth from how I understood her in the source material, wasn't a "dark side entity" like the Son, but rather something else... While the Daughter was the Light Side, and the Son was the Dark Side, the pool that Abeloth drank from twisted her, that same pool holding both sides of the force as one, she then became Chaos to the Father's Order... In this way, you could argue that both the Father and Abeloth represented a balence in the Light and Dark, but Abeloth couldn't handle it(because she was previously mortal and untrained in the force at that), which is why it went out of control and the Father was more like the Bendu so it came naturally as breathing.
Ya that sums her up pretty well, also i love the fact that even when Luke was at his highest power he needed help to banish her, but couldnt defeat her and of all the things he feared would return, it was her, not Sidious, not the empire, not some new Sith Order, no it was her that haunted his nightmares as he openly stated that he wasnt sure if he would be able to stop her a second time if she ever found a way back from the void. (much like how Nihilus was always feared to someday return to the living world as both Jedi and Sith feared that this time he truly would consume the galaxy because of his hunger)
She drank from the Font of Power and bathed in the Pool of Knowledge. There wasn't one that contained both the light and dark sides of the Force. She might have been fine if she did only one, but doing both granted her far more power than she could have imagined and far more than she was capable of handling, which is why she went insane.
Tom Bombadil laughs at this list.
lol, yes!
My guy is so old he literally saw Morgoth and the Valar enter Arda.
Abeloth is OVER 100,000 years old according to the Jedi's interpretation of the murals that the Killiks have. An actual age is impossible to determine. She's the destroyer from Kesh legend and likely perpetrated many other "galaxy resets" before that. The Ones "ages" are indeterminate, as the Killiks believe. Their reply to them was something like "One cannot be born from what one is" or something wacky like that. Indicating that they existed as the Force before becoming distinct entities.
It’s funny how second is a powerful force family who represents balance on the force and the first place is just a big space slug
You should have also included a bounty hunter called Durge who, according to Wookiepedia, was over 2000 years old when he died. Not to mention that he was nearly undestructable. Nearly... 😉
I love how this guy did practically no research. He completely left out the celestials (100,000+ yrs), Several surviving members of the Rakatan Empire (≈33,000 yrs), and several members of the swarm race that built CenterPoint Station (≈90,000 yrs). And those are the ones that I can name right off the top of my head. I know that there are several other entities in the books that claim to be over 100,000 years old. He also completely incorrectly put the hyper space wars 20,000 years further in the future than they were. 5000 BBY was the first great Sith war. this age was when the Jedi performed some of their greatest atrocities, such as turning Hoth into an ice pit after slaughtering 20,000 children, sorry, I mean Padawans, to save the lives of a few Jedi Masters (it might’ve actually been 100,000, but I don’t quite remember. All I remember is that the Jedi are monsters). This was also the time of Exar Kun and Nomi Sunrider, arguably some of the greatest Jedi and Sith that have ever lived. (Edit: the great hyper space war that I remember reading about as a kid took place in 25,000 BBY. I’ve always known the war in 5000 BBY as the great (1st) Sith war. and I remember the great hyper space war being a war fought primarily with swords and Proto sabers and muskets.)
Been waiting for content about this subject!
Valkorion? Oh sorry vitiate? Oh my bad Tenebrae. How is he not in this list?
he died
@fighters9881 so has Jabba, Yoda, Yaddle and Rayvis.. whats your point?
@@fighters9881 yeah don't see how that matters
Wow, i didnt know that the exogort had such long life
Nice Video, learn new things about star wars is allways good
Plo Koon was 385 years old when he passed. No love for the best Jedi on the council :(
Coolest lightsaber has to go to mace windu though
How was Palpatine 117 years old? According to Wookiepedia he was born in 84 BBY and died in 4 ABY, so he was 88. He was only 65 during Revenge of the Sith.
Sequels by technicality count as "canon"... so his technical death was in like 35 ABY, which was 31 years later putting him at over 100 years old.
“Somehow Palpatine returned”
Even if we consider the abomination of the sequels, it was a different body with its own age.
no way a space worm is older than the force
Here’s my list. 1. Sy-O 2. The Ones 3. Bendu 4. Abeloth 5. Sarlacc 6. Ood Bnar 7. Emperor Vitiate 8. Mama 9. Maz Kanata 10. Odan Urr 11. Rayvis 12. Yoda 13. Jabba 14. Yaddle 15. Dexter Jettser
Where is Durge?
Abeloth in canon would be freaky.
Who knew a giant carnivorous worm was the oldest life form in Star Wars?
Only because it was a silica based lifeform
Instead of carbon
So cool to have Stewie doing the narration!
Bro did him downright despicable
Bendu of the rebels is bronze, awesome.
What about the hyperspace whales from Ahsoka
They have a life range hence the grave yard in space
What about the Whills? Surely if the Bendu and The ones are on here they should be too
You said surprisingly young than said oldest creature, there is a problem here.
Where is tenebrae/Vitiate?
How does time work in the Star Wars universe? Earth years is 365 days. Its more or less in other planets
365.25 days to more precise, hence why need leap year every four years to reset. But point well taken. Lol
Coruscant is like Earth, 24hr days, 365 days-1 year(no leap years thou) so they base it on that since its the center(capital) of the Republic
@@bludek89 It may be true for Coruscant, but I think to the OP point, the concept of “years” and time may be a a different construct depending on the planet and beings that live on those planets. “Years” is just a reference point so that we can understand the general “age” of the being when we say “Yoda is about 900 YEARS old”. To some beings, they may say to each other “I’m 400 Sun cycles old” which may equal our 900 earth years.
@@GHN1013 i get it, i was just explaining that they use Coruscant as base for measuring time(years) or "Galactic Standard Time" how they call it. Im assuming that was his question about, because there is no Earth in SW galaxy to base it of our measurements. Its what they do in most SF`s so its not to confusing or complicated to the audience. they just standardize it out of something for everyone to use. Star Trek got a bit deeper into it with its Star Dates but SW is more Science Fantasy so it doesn`t go into science/logic side too much like ST does
Who invited Death from Horrible Histories...
There are an army of huts that would have been on here
How do we count years in Star Wars?
should've for number 15 maybe even 14 used the somewhat under appreciated ruler of the sith sithari king adas who reigned over the planet of korriban for at least 300 years not including how long it took for him to take over the world. he was also extremely powerful likely comparable to some of the god or godlike entrees on this list
What about Durge their bounty hunter? How old is he?
Rokur Gepta
I do not see how robots can fit in this category?
They have a lifespan that is based on how well they are maintained.
Palps was 117?! Huh. I had no idea
According to Wookiepedia he was born in 84 BBY and died in 4 ABY, so he was 88 years old. I don't know where the 117 comes from. It also means he was 65 years old during Revenge of the Sith.
@@SereglothIV that sounds way more believable.
Wait I thought huyang said he was 300-500 years old not 25k
Wait, Poof wasn't a Kaminoan?
Where is emperor vitiate? He was more than 1500 years old…
Hello
What about the celestials? Or those 4 god like enteties from legends?
Those are the second oldest. Between bendu and the space slug
@@fighters9881 the celestial created galaxies tho

earth years?
Interesting, how do we count years in Star Wars ?
Where is vitiate!!!

You managed to mispronounce almost every name in this list lol
I’ve kinda lost some respect for you since you left out so many people
If everyone was listed this would have been hours long.
Yoda way older
Everyone who loves being wrong agrees! 🫶
@@ChilleBruh i mean when your age is triple digits are you going to say the full age or just use the hundreds mark? its like when someone is 73 they will likely say "when you reach 70 lets see how your health is" so Yoda just saying "lets see how you look at 900" is perfectly inline for grumpy old people.
i'm a writer, i can invent ANYTHING, any age for my characters so damnded stupid
Uh?
If you're a writer and you think ages for characters is stupid, I'm not guessing you don't have many book sales. Age is very relevant for the personality of a character because it's a known fact that life experiences shape a person's personality and beliefs, how long someone has lived is an indicator of how much time they have had to be shaped by the world they live in. And if that's not something you knew.... well i suck at writing and i know that.
