I mean her actual dad had an affair with allisons mother(jessica dilaurantis) and allison, jason and cece drake) are siblings. And her dad had an affair with mary drake. So yeah he slept with both of the sisters.

First time I saw this scene, I thought Spencer was gonna run out & lock Mary in the box & try to escape
l felt like that and alex was gonna keep spencer alive and their bond

Mary Drake was never really a villain imo, morally grey, yes. But she was just trying to look after her children and escape radley.

I love Mary but I hated that she injected Spencer with that stuff and said sweet dreams 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 like stand up to Alex show her that you're the mother not her. I wish that Spencer, Mary, Alex, and Charlotte got to have at least one family moment before Charlotte died. I would've liked to see Jason and Alison have a family moment with them too.

“She was sold to a wealthy couple in England. I thought she would live a Cinderella life.” Ok… So you wanted her to live with her evil family, and be whisked away by a. Handsome Prince. Nothing can excuse Mary for selling her child. Not when she had a couple who would have been more than willing to raise both of them. Veronica would have adopted both of them.
You're taking "Cinderella life" too literally. Mary thought that Alex would live with a wealthy family and have everything she could ever want. She in no way could have predicted that Alex's parents would toss her away like they did. She's not to blame for that, they are. They abandoned Alex because she was showing signs of mental illness and didn't get her the help she needed. You're also forgetting that Marry had limited options. She had, at this point, been locked away in Radley since she was a teenager. Jessica had shock therapy performed on her. I don't blame her in any capacity for being desperate to get out. From what we can tell, Alex was completely unexpected. There wasn't supposed to be another baby. There's also no way that Jessica, who was on the board, didn't know about her. Jessica could have told the Hastings about Alex, but chose not to. This is probably due to the fact that Jessica was the one actively keeping Alex away from the Hastings. She is likely the one who presented Mary this impossible choice knowing that Mary was desperate to be free. Also, there's no guarantee that she could have even contacted the Hastings

Here's what I don't get: Why do the Hastings/Drake line of children all have mental problems? It's really sad and kind of ridiculous.

Mental health issues tend to run in families. It's due to a chemical imbalance of the brain that is caused by defective genes. If a parent has a mental health issue like Acute Psychosis, Manic Depression, Bipolar Disorder, ADHD and other such mental health problems, it is inherently more probable that offspring will also develop a mental health issue as a result of the parent's condition. It's a lot more common in women due to the chemical changes their bodies go through during puberty that affect their brain chemistry to prepare them for motherhood. Nothing about the storyline is ridiculous. In fact, it's one of the more realistic storylines ever to be written into the show and, as someone who suffers from Bipolar Disorder and shares the condition with a parent, I'm glad that it was explored in the show.
That's true. And Mary was in Radley while she was pregnant with Charles and the twins. Probably she got drugs and who knows what else I mean we are talking about Radley. The more surprising thing that Spencer is healthy even though her addiction from the earlier seasons is makes sense since we know her mother is Mary. She is definitely the lucky one in that family but also it is not her falt.

I think that when mary & Jessica were growing up Jessica was jealous of her twin sister & hated her so much that she manipulated people into believing that mary had problems & she needed to be locked away in Radley & I like that mary told Spencer that she gave birth to another child after Spencer was born & I wish that Jessica could have told Charlotte that her twin sister mary was her real mother & I was really surprised to find out that mary was the one that killed her twin sister Jessica & I'm glad could never kill a human being cuz I would never forgive myself taking someone's life away from them

i was to by my auntie and she told me once she died now im pissed at my aunt because my life a fucking lie my cousin was always wining awards and they were so proud. but i got one they just put it on a shelf so i had the urge to hurt my cousin beth and i wacked her with her trophy and she told and i was sent to see if i had physcotic tendices but i was just emotional unstable and then after all that hell she finally fuckin told me i was mad and. because my real mom died and i never had the chance to know her

She was born biologically as a boy
He transitioned to a girl so he (she) could live in Rosewood without the dilaurentis noticing her. (Not logical, but Charles became Cece so she could meet her family in disguise as Alison's best friend and Jason's girlfriend)
