The ritual of calling spirits shown in the movie is real and is still performed in South Karnataka especially in districts of Mangaluru and Udupi .

I am from Maharashtra. I wish i could understand the language. Even Hindi version is impactful. The climax was great. Watched This movie on Mobile still felt it deep. This is a masterpiece trully made for theater. Those who watched this in theater must be lucky.
I respect Rishab Shetty sir, Not just only for his amazing acting but also for his respect towards our rituals, customs, and culture because it is witnessed in this scene, even though the movie is a Hindi dubbed he retained panjuruli Daiva dialogue in its way only. Wow what an actor and Writer as well as a top-notch legendary Director. Love you with lots of respect. Jai Kanthara and Jai Karnataka and Jai Hind.
I like the fact that they kept Panjurli's dialogues in the original language...feels divine and i think dubbing would not have been that impactful

Yes, the jump scares literally gave me goosebumps. Its so much more entertaining and spine tingling in theatres rather than watching it on TV and the Hindi version really didn't give me the chills just saying.
Theatre are dead now. Theatre can't reach people, but OTT reaches all. We r happy watching it on OTT. Big screen smart TVs and surround sound systems at home are anyday better than theatre now. More films should release mainly on OTT so that everyone could watch it.

I am very much interested in such cultural heritages of our country, a lot and deepest secrets are still unknown because we don't know the reason behind all the rituals and traditions we follow since ages so it really becomes interesting, if I get a chance I would love to explore all kinds of tradition and rituals and culture of my country hopefully without interrupting or disturbing them 😅😅❤❤

It has been few days I've watched this movie on Netflix. At first I actually didn't understand that there are 2 different daivas - daiva Panjurli & Daiva Guliga. So in my first attempt though I really liked the movie, yet I didn't understand a lot of things. But then I saw lot more other videos about Kantara, which ultimately made me watch the movie about 5 times. (Some specific scenes) I'm so so thrilled by the climax scene ~Where God tries to explain through his gestures - that " you all are my kids and I love you all " He praises the Forest officer for being their saviour. He takes his devotee's hands all over him. This scene just made me cry I found Everything about the movie just too good to explain in words ~ the music, the cinematography, acting. Superb 👍 And this song Varaha roopam is just so amazing!!!
The Last Dance is Magnificent. While watching Kantara, even I as an Indian Punjabi felt connected to our kannada culture. GREAT MOVIE
