It took us a while, but the new Everdale update is finally here! In this developer video, our Game Designer, Stefu and Art Producer, Ken, will lead you through all the new and improved features, new additions coming in the big update to Everdale!

• Valley management rework - no more leaders! Make big choices together, as a Valley.
• Trade relation upgrades - make deeper progress with trade relations, earning perks along the way!
• No more reputation decay! Now, at the end of reputation road, your reputation gains will unlock the Everchest, a repeating reward for the most ardent of Everdalians.
• New events - unlock the Iceberg Isles and Summery Woods trade relations with all new events!
• New product family - introducing Iron from the Iceberg Isles! Along with new buildings and recipes to discover!
• Earn potion ingredients by trading with the Summery Woods!
• Introducing the Gem Tree - the Gem Tree sprouts new gems every day for 30 days!
• UI/UX improvements, including chat, notifications and instances where buildings might get stuck.
• New offers!
• Introducing Deco Gems. Use Deco Gems to purchase cosmetic items in the shop.
• Matchmaking changes.
• Lots of art improvements all around!
• Loads of bug fixes.
Major balance changes, including:
• Resource economy rework - all resource values have been reworked, and many recipes changed. This includes dye economy and potion economy reworks.
• All event tasks and jobs have better rewards.
• Research trees have been rearranged, especially at higher levels.
• Otto no longer asks for certain high level products.
• New product: Pickled Eggs! Mmm-mm.

Yayy finally! I'm sure many people will appreciate the potion + reputation rebalancing and deco gems. I'm excited to see what the future brings, using this update as a much more logical starting point. Thanks to the Everdale team!

I mean, the update has a lot of good stuff, variety, and changes that were needed. But for a lot of people and valleys that we reached +40k reputation and pretty much completed the entire research path and also the great library, there is hardly anything new worth reinstalling the game, in a day we would get the little things added. Good luck to new players and also to those who are still half way through the progress.
The possibility they will add more on research path. Look on the landscape inside the game so many spot to put on. It's up to them what type of guild and fields they are willing to make. But for me it's very enough. Nothing to add more.
@@Pou_P_Pou I know, but I completed the game in November, since 4 months there is nothing to do, I can't even use my gold because the valley is complete, and all the characters are at max level, I don't need new rewards or chests because I can't use anything, in my valley everyone stayed afk after a month of completing everything and i deleted the game in december. I just hope the game gets past beta and in a global release, they bring a lot of new stuff. Because I just tried the update, and I only see that they don't give me the chests that I once got with more than 40,000 reputation, and so many months of effort in completing the ships and they were reset. I even saw that potions require nectar to be created, no thanks.
Finally giving some life to the game with updates... better late than never.

Great update. Just 1 thing though, players who founded a valley pre-update do not currently receive the founder rank. I assume this addition would be fairly simple to implement and would give the update an even more cohesive feel.

The update seems amazing, I love the idea of echo gems, the new trading system seems awesome, I love the fact that now my reputation won't decay below perks in valley, also an idea for the future: maybe there can be a way for valleys to get help from other valleys in their builds, a ship can be sent by elders to another valley and show them our tasks left for the builds and instead they can get knowledge or coins from our valley by completing our tasks, or help us in different events

There should be a material transformation guild in the next update that allows villagers the ability to improve their crafting speed of planks, bricks and iron ingots. And another guild for the creation of arts like pots and wood/stone statues. I know many players have villagers with no valuable skills these would help alot as unlike the other skills those can only be accomplished by one villager at a time (except for research). Everyone would benefit from not having a villagers stuck crafting pots or planks, for example, for hours in a day.
Thank you for the massive update! Just have to ask, will you ever rework the relationship between decoration and efficiency? Because honestly sometimes elaborate village designs feel punishing since moving things might not work with the current design you have.

Amazing update! Thanks to the great Dev team and also Nick! I have a question….when will the Leaderboards be fixed. This is a bug that started after the small Xmas update and it’s still not working. For us original top 10 valley’s it was pretty sad to lose our ranking. Please can you resolve this? Thanks guys ❤️

The visual changes(in color) feels a little desaturated in valley and the items feels more saturated now, but its fine (I guess? like the old colors more). Sadly, some people I know have problems updating in the playstore as its incompatible (just found out they raised the system requirements, goodbye to ppl under android 9 and iOS 13) love the Trade Relations depth, potion changes and other QoL bits! Not bad just expected for a load of new content (like expected a feature to regrow trees) -also rip for the old clay pit visual- edit 2. JUST FOUND OUT there's no FOUNDER in my Valley

Thanks for the update! Rainbow dyes are actually craftable now! Reputation road is soul crushing no longer! I just hope you guys fixed the bug where the event timer would be stuck on 1 day left with no way to know exactly when the valley event ends and then we would just fail the event. I guess we’ll see but great job so far! Edit: I also still have to double tap home and reselect Everdale every other time I start up to get sound 😅 Edit: I just spent $21 on gems literally 2 days ago to unlock the grand garden (my end game reward for myself, seeing it would take a year for Otto to give me enough gems) and now that I see the value bundles in the shop that the same amount gives I’m pissed 😡 especially since we can now earn deco gems to unlock things like the grand garden I feel like an idiot for spending money now. 🤦♂️ You have to find a way to reverse shop purchases in the last few days at least! And the shop hits you in the face with microtransactions instead of being at the bottom where they belong, not a good look supercell… I went from being willing to spend to support this game, now I definitely won’t be spending a single dime from this point on 🤬 This update has now left a sour taste instead of a sweet one

Whoa, that's cool. I've forgot this game even exists, but you are still putting your heart and soul in it, so I guess it's worth to come back. The only thing is that these little cartoons in the video are a bit overused.

Day and night system, plz.😅 The standard time varies from place, but make the same time for a valley. I want to see how my village looks in dark. One more thing, this isn't fair for those who crossed 40k and lost about 1.5k hearts daily should get some compensation. Give us a exclusive decoration, just as you gave a Ship deco for the Alpha players.😋 I love the Christmas tree and the Butterfly topiary.😁 Lots of love for Evedale❤
Players are from all over the globe with different time zones, so as with clash of clans ...its not possible as that would leave some players always in darkness.
This is a amazing update but please fix this: The android version is increased to 9 which means its no longer updateable/playable for me because my android version is lower. This is so frustrating because i am level 14 (f2p) and I was in one of the best valley. 😑 so sad Please do fix that!!!
Me too. I'm android 8 and just bought a decor worth 300 gems. i was enjoying decorating my village but now I can't play it anymore.The update is really bad for people who loves everdale but can't play anymore.

I think lot of valleys invest heavily on iceberg, but now all that just wasted by transfer to other trades, which already maxed out, or even easy to max. There should be compensate in make their investment towards new iceberg, rather than transfer to other trades.

At first glance I really like a lot of this but I can’t lie the way that the new buildings look does not speak to me, they just look a little dim and colourless and I’m not sure how I feel about losing my valley leadership 😂

Hope its a bug! GAME'S IN BETA yet they're decreasing the playerbase. Apps such as Coc, Wildrift and Codm runs on Android 5 and up. They should have clarified in the Video why.

I think Iceberg Isles (giving iron) and Summery woods(giving potion ingredients) only changed and so they plan to add more ships in the future prolly. OTTO gives gold as well. The shop I think is the best source of gold?
