    • @@diodedoode The extra weight put extra load on the motor windings which causes them to draw more current and get hot. This excess load drains more current from the cap therefore the cap has to draw more current to balance this load which in term will cause the current to go way beyond the caps rating causing the cap to overheat and BOOM.

    • The super fan has a brushless motor with coils and magnets like hoverboard motors but the normal ceiling fan has the old school induction motor that needs a run capacitor
