  • I couldnt think of one moment in my life that I felt unconditional love, even thruout my childhood.. Sad... then remembered my beloved dog. ❤️

  • The past month I have been attending Addiction-management classes. Initially I felt disappointed by the lack of actual information offered, until I realized it was the connection to others that is so vital to the process of my growth, and the true substance offered by the classes. The facilitators and the other students are such wonderful people, I am so lucky to have met and keep meeting these interesting and magnanimous people.

    • I didn't even think to consider that since I kept trying to think of people, but yeah. My dog. I remember this random time we were just on the couch and she was sitting next to me and just leaned on me and put her head on my shoulder and looked up at me like she just adored me. Also, when I was in the worst of my depression she would curl up behind my legs for as long as I needed.

  • I just got through with this meditation and it really brought a dichotomy of sadness and compassion for my little self. I felt like I had to search and search to remember where I felt unadulterated love. Logically, my mom showed us love and yet she was a widow with five kids and I think had some difficulty with presence. I also think my lens was skewed because I had a hard time feeling seen or as though I fit in. And at 34 was when I felt the most loved, just a few weeks ago, my mom watched a video of me and said “I see your light Jenna” and I was amazed at how healing that was. I used that moment in the meditation and somehow felt like it made my little girl feel as though she was loved, even if it was hard for her to understand. Thank you for listening. And sending love to all the rest out there 💗💗💗

  • This class made me weep. Feels like my heart has been damaged so many times that it was hard for me to recognize a time I was welcomed with unadulterated love. I have just started on my meditation/mindfulness journey and I have a lot more work to do to find that love and peacefulness that has been with me my whole life but has been hidden away through trauma. Namaste❤️

    • I found Jon a few years back and for the last few months have focussed on his teaching and meditations, and listened to a lot of Buddhist gurus. Let me tell you, a change comes over while you are not even aware of it. It took me away from my anxiety condition and moved me in to a state of happiness for nothing. I cannot believe the change. You have just started your journey, stick to it like glue and you will see the changes that will be for life. Namaste

  • That part when he said think of that moment in your childhood (without yet telling those words when you were accepted with unadulterated compassion/kindness) just suddenly remembered that scene when my parents were patiently waiting for me outside our house at past midnight bec I went to a party right after school still in uniform, w/o their knowledge. I was so ready to be scolded that time but only met me with their worried/sad look and my mother in a soft but sad voice, next time don’t do this again. My dad also said you made us so worried😢. Bless their souls, now reminded me again to become a better parent/grandparent😢❤. Thank you🙏

  • It was only once I knew myself, really got to know me, that I experienced unconditional love. And that’s because it came from within, I was just so at peace and happy with who I was/am. I’ve never experienced that from anyone on this planet. ❤❤❤

Also I myself have reflected ..When Its hard to find a memory of total love and acceptance from another person ... break it down to an element of love and that feeling and sit with that . Also Sometimes we have to bring in forgiveness to remember we are or were loved and accepted at least at times . There is also the love within nature and the love of animal friends and companions 😊

  • Have no recollection of unconditional love or acceptance or even being hugged. I was 29 before i met someone who showed me kindness and warmth. Nobody was cruel, just kinda indifferent or busy. I was fed clothed educated bought toys etc but hugs or asked how i felt NO. One had to be very upset, crying hard, and even then no cuddles. My mom only cuddled us up to age 2 probably. I saw her cuddle my 3 yr old sister once and i felt jealous. I remember saying, Im your pet too u know! I was 4 then. She looked up at me but made no reply.

    • You're not alone.. When he asked to recall an unconditional love or total acceptance I couldn't find any memory.. Even thought as you said I had all my basic needs met and my parents did what they have to do to make a good living for me and my siblings.. And the worst part is that I am in a relationship that have been going for years But honestly I felt a bit of relief when I realised that I can give that unconditional love and acceptance to myself

  • Love the content. Have quite sensitive ears so singing bowls n bells are an irritation to my hearing. Known, Godly love, Motherly love, and pet dogs unconditional love. The balance of people are very dubious in my mind, that are often temporary selfish acts to reward themselves.. sadly. Realised today I don't know of a single person who hasn't had trials, tribulation or great challenges to deal with in life. Love is the greatest gift given to us all, and to share ❤. If it's wasted, the loss is unto them.
