It's always fun to know where movies are filmed! There's a few that were filmed in or near Trona - the town I lived in for over three decades before I moved to the mountains.

@@mashedorbaked7694 It's the nearby Trona Pinnacles that have been in several movies, commercials, etc. There's a large chemical plant in town that sucks slurry out of the dry lake and separates out soda ash, potash, and that sort of thing.

So many films were shot here in town. We were on the set of The Misfits.. The wild horses' scenes. I sat in John Hustons chair, at 4 yrs old, and my older sister in M. Monroe's.. age 7. Dad took care of the cast and crew at The Mapes, and Mom was a chorus girl at the Riverside Hotel 😊

Now that's some great memories Jt! Alway heard Huston started the ''real'' camel races in VC while in the area filming The Misfits, I'm still mad they imploded the Mapes.

Yeah.. We were there. My Dad and one of his co-workers. In 99, it would have cost 35 million alone to abate the building in preparation for re model. The State should have taken up a fund for donations to save the hotel. I heard that about John Houston as well..🫡

Some towns have all the fun. The only thing filmed were I live is the crime film at 11😂😂😂😢 , not even much of that. Are crickets newsworthy ?🛌
