You are a psychopath
Lucky its been a week and I'm still SUFFERING
You did a great job!
3:50 I keep forgetting this point, despite 11+ years of diagnosis. I do pretty well with keeping myself safe, but it is a slap in the face (or maybe the stomach/gut) that I’m not going to be 100% safe all the time. Thank you for your video; I’ll keep the Celiac Attack kit in mind.
Go ahead and eat gluten it's perfectly safe
Thank you 🙏 gluttened and feeling horrible.
Me too, it sucks takes me a week to feel better.
Last time a had a cluster of migraines when I was glutened .15 migraines in three/four weeks 😢
Why didn’t anyone have this problem 30 years ago?
I really appreciate the way that you phrased this, and encouraged your viewers not to be so harsh on themselves! I had been OK, eating gluten here and there, but I got married three weeks ago and overloaded on all of the tasty glutinous treats. Now I am feeling the aftermath of it and realize that I need to detox from it. I feel really bad that I can’t do the things that I want to do, but I really appreciate the way that you phrased things. Thank you!
thank you. what do you think about apple cider vinegar after a gluten exposure?
it's not something I'd immediately advise as something so acidic likely wouldn't be welcomed by gut irritated by gluten, what makes you ask?
My issue is WHEAT ....gluten as I'm aware is just one of the proteins in it ....I think lots of people are sensitive to wheat as it has changed over the last 50 years and its mostly dwarf wheat now which is being grown and sold these days ...I do think there is other stuff in wheat which can effect many people ...
Yes, wheat related disorders are different from gluten related disorders.
@@celiacnutrition Yes ...i tested negative to celiac disease yet show many of the symptoms when i eat gluten ( as its a component of wheat) The IBD is terrible when i eat it ... Strange wheat doesn't get the same press ... yet its gluten's big brother....nobody wants to know this ....maybe all yje 'sensetives' like me are really wheat allergics ... Thanks for being interested ...nice video Keith x
Activated charcoal does help. II've tested it myself and it does help. However, I use it before a meal when I know it has gluten or dairy and I don't have other food options.
dose?
Im NCGS but have a reaction to all prolamins. Wheat, soy, corn, rye, oats and barley
I never had this before I moved in with my friend and his brother who had it . Then bingo I get it also. Rash from eating bread, and pasta. Itching constipation bloating. Tired and brain fog. Being severe ADD I don’t need any more brain frog😫
I'll have like a week of pain and fatigue the fatigue might even last longer I have an iud so normally I don't really have a period but them afterwards I have a bad period
I'm quite devastated to know that gluten is bad for my blood group, even though I've been eating bread containing gluten all my life & I was confused & angry that my stomach kept on bloating up & I couldn't understand why until recently..
Be kind to yourself? Almost impossible when you're exploding from both ends for up to 3 hours or more. And the complete twist my insides do. The weakness. Then the temperature disregulation. The chills. The panic. The pain. It's sheer hell. I only have to be right 100% of the time.
If you don't think you are gonna get exposed to gluten okay just listen I ate marshmallows they had gluten in it who even does that like why
I just ate gluten for several weeks because my dr wanted to retest for celiac. This is the worst I have felt for a long time and I feel like i will never feel better. Just looking for some relief. Thanks for your video but it didn;t actually offer any solutions for symptom relief (other than for bloating).
My recovery is rest, lots of water(I mean a lot), probiotics, and I eat rice cooked in broth. Or you can add broth to your cooked rice and eat as a soup. This is what I do that helps me feel a little better. Just lay in bed and read a book or watch a show you love for a whole day after exposure. If you experience joint pains too, take a really hot shower or salt bath. And compressions sleeves help a lot for your wrists and ankles.

I just recently got gluten 2 times in the span of 1 week from 2 separate restaurants. I’m not mad about it, but it’s really annoying , painful and I wish the restaurants were more careful, my celiac disease symptoms are not fun . If I was to work the next day after being exposed I would have had to miss work but thankfully I had the next day off. celiac disease is part my life and I am not going to change what I can’t change I will just have to do better, eating out even less. At home I have more control over gluten free foods and how the food stays gluten free.
Well I get annoyed, as we go to the trouble of explaining the conditions and explaining how ill one can become, even from cross contamination. Sadly some people don’t understand or care, and it’s a sale to them. Then other restaurants are very responsible, in saying I can’t guarantee it’ll be GF, when that happens it’s my choice. Many restaurants don’t under stand cross contamination. If I find a good restaurant, I stick to it and always show my appreciation. Although I now realise it’s much safer to eat at home. But let’s face eating out is a very social happy thing to do. 😊 Sometimes we just want to be like every one else, and don’t feel like we’re making a fuss.
@@WendyHannan-pt7ez i agree.
If you’re been glutened, and I know it happens accidentally as you wouldn’t put your self through it deliberately. 😩 I use Iberogast from the pharmacy, its herbal all natural herbs, it’s amazing for settling the tummy. I find it hard to believe professionals and Drs aren’t aware of this. Mistakes happen, this lady is right, some restaurants don’t under stand cross contamination, and that gets me every time. I seldom eat out, it’s not worth the pain. Good luck every one ☝️ we can protect ourselves from gluten, we have to be prepared and diligent. Activated charcoal is a good tool to have, that’s going into the medicine cabinet, but number one is Iberogast 😊
Do most people suffer from bad stomach pain?
Great question! I wouldn’t say there is one symptom that most people suffer from. It’s very dependent on the person. Some people get stomach pain, others vomit, others experience swift diarrhea, headaches, joint paint, and some people get no noticeable symptoms at all (though this video was geared towards those who get noticeable symptoms)
How long does it generally take for you to feel better / heal after being Glutened? I am about 11 days out from consuming some gluten and still feel terrible, I have had lots of Gi issues and I’m dealing with the gluten flu (as I like to call it) lots of body pain/aches and debilitating fatigue
Holding space for how awful you've been feeling since being glutened. For some people, it takes a few days and for other people they report it taking a few weeks. Generally, if you're worried about how long it's lasting, you might want to meet with a doctor to make sure nothing else is going on.
Lol
Oh perfect name for it: gluten flu. I’m in so much pain…. Yup two days so far and still hurting
A few days for me. I use Iberogast its a life saver to me. It takes the cramps away and relaxes the tummy , I wouldn’t be without it. Drink plenty of water. I’ve been glutened by a number of times after eating out, even after going through my dietary needs . It’s cross contamination they restaurants don’t understand. We just have to be so careful 😉
@@Anastasia-np1mjSorry, I know the feeling it’s horrible 😢
I am waiting what to do , not advice to bd kind or make a journal
I've been glutened😢
It's not real
Me too...
I tested as a soft positive for celiacs after going gluten free. Does this mean I have Celiacs?
This would be a question for your doctor. Though from what I know about testing for celiac, you need to be eating gluten for tests to be accurate.
My handsitch likcrazesisany one else like that
Yes, that’s how mine started but it took me years to figure it out. Now I have that and so many other symptoms if I eat gluten.
YES! Starts on my hands then travels to my eyes ad eye brows lol
I’m laughing now because over the last couple of weeks since I ate gluten my hands were itching and never gave it a thought that could be why. I deal with joint pain pain when exposed.
I use bentonite clay to stop the itch if that helps anyone.
