What a wonderful tribute to a genius. I just saw Mirror this week - my first Tarkovsky film. Can't wait to see the rest. Perhaps the greatest director of all time; esp. When you consider that he made almost allof his films in totally Soviet USSR

That‘s gotta be „Erbarme Dich“, an aria from within the „Matthäuspassion“/ St. Matthew Passion by Bach. I believe Tarkovsky used it in the score for the mirror, although it‘s been a while since I last saw it.

It's funny that Tarkovsky was totally against this kind of editing. He would have thought that you butchered his films. Of course I, like many others, apreciate your video, so we can enjoy the beauty of his images without having to go through the torture of watching the entire films, which are extremely boring.
@malzcuatro33795 жыл бұрын
Thank God, Tarkovsky was against mainstream, unlike most of others, that's why his pictures are so unique. If he listened to everyone, how to entertain the public, it would never be like this. He is a painter and poet, not just director. There are plenty other directors, no one force you to watch.
