I just got a Toy Aussie last week. I put him on my channel if you want to see him. He was a rescue
Hi! Are you aussies slightly less energetic than mini / standard?
@@mariana7802 he can walk / run for hours or he can be a lazy pup. Pretty much the best ever. Love him so much. I have a few videos of him on my channel
I have 2 Toy Aussies. They are 15 and 16 lbs. they’re the sweetest girls and full of energy!
I just saw my first toy Aussie last week! I want one so bad 😭
I'm waiting for the XL TBH
Both are beautiful dogs. Thank you for the video.
Thanks so much! ☺️
I got my two aussies from a rescue. Had to take them together as they are bonded... best decision of my life. Some redneck had them and couldn't keep up, so now they have family and tasks! We have a male and a female and they have such different personalities, buts its so fun seeing their aussie traits spike. We actually just got their DNA tests done and the male is 100% herding dog and the female is a huge mix.
That’s awesome! I wish I would’ve heard of some Aussie rescues, would have definitely gotten them from there 😔
Is the female more mellow? Wondering if there a slightly more calm Aussie out there for me
@@mariana7802 she is! She still gets hype when I get home and what not but she loves to cuddle on the couch for hours
I got my toy tri red in mid Feb, and I have had high energy work dogs before , blue heelers , and border collies , so high energy was no surprise. I got a toy this time , she’ll do a different kind of work , which works out bec this size also loves to cuddle , she learned basic commands the first week at I had her, at 7 weeks , next week she’ll be able to finally go outside and learning new things . I know she’s going to be an awesome part of our retired life ❤fromTX
Sounds like a good ol time 🥰 I am from TX as well 🤠
I thought I had a mini Aussie this whole time but turns out I have a toy haha, 17 lbs and 12 inches tall! She’s all the fun in the world and really smart!
A lot of people don’t know there was even a third size Aussie ! 😆
Are toys less energetic? I love them but worry about the hyperness
@@mariana7802my toy Aussie is very chill. She will run around and herd kids a bit but very much less energetic than minis and standards.
I have a toy Aussie :) would love to send a photo 😊 he's a blue Merle with tan points 😊
Yes if you can send it to our Instagram! Would love to see ☺️
I just got a toy aussie and he is the littlest thing ever! He’s only about 6 months old and only around 6in tall maybe 8lbs! He also has one blue and one hazel eye!
So cute 🥰
I have a sweet mini Australian shepherd that was given to me. He loves to herd my chickens, my kids, and even me. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I love him so much. His name is Bear because he’s as soft as a Bear. He’s a red Merle. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Sounds very sweet 🥰
I have all three but my standards are working lines so they have way more drive.
All three! That’s awesome!
Also! It’s nice hearing from you again! Thanks for watching :)
I feel like my Australian Shepherd is more on the laid-back side and she is a working line Australian Shepherd she loves to explore and she is a Black Tri Mismark Australian Shepherd, so her face and front legs have more white and she has black ears and blue eyes and on her back legs. You can see the tan markings and you can see a little bit tan on her face
It’s awesome to hear about all the different personalities these Aussies have. nova also is more laid back than Stella by A LOT. Like every dog , they all come with their own personalities but it’s cool to see their Aussies come out every now and then :)
@@AlphaAussies we love walking and she loves to play ball too
I have a toy Aussie . I would love to share some pictures & videos with you for future videos
Yeah of course! You can go ahead and DM us on Instagram! I would love to see them ☺️
Is your toy just as hyper as the minis / standard?! I want one but worry I won't fulfill its needs bcus it seems daunting how much people say how crazy they are
I have a toy...he was dumped in our neighborhood..He's a very very sweet boy and is full of energy..Plays well w my Frenchie
I’m so glad you took him home with you! They are extremely loyal dogs 💖
Is your toy less energy than a standard/ mini?
I have a mini Aussie mini poodle. He was 2000 in 2020- he has a lot of energy and a lot of drive. But he can also take a day to sleep in after 2 years lmao. He is about 25 lbs.
Also a lot of attitude. He is very vocal and loves to talk back
Aw an Aussie poodle, sounds like a very lovely pet 🥰
I guess i must have a VERY RARE Austrailian Shepherd...she is fully grown and is only 8" tall and weighs a whopping 6 lbs!!! She was the runt of the litter...her brothers heads were twice the size she is!!! She is merle in olor and has the blue eyes!!!
She sounds lovely! I saw a toy Aussie for the first time and they are too cute 😭
lol. I have 2 toys. My breeder has been doing it for 25+ years. One is a male he’s 21lbs and one is a female and she is around 11lbs.
Are the toys less energy? Wondering if there is an Aussie out there for me!!
Have a toy and a mini that ended up being large toy size. Also had a 65 lb aussie. They all can have different drives, all the same.
At the end of the day they are all Aussies 🥰
My aussies mom was a mini and his dad a toy a d he weighs 31 mind if I ask what yours weigh?
I have a teacup blue merle. Shes 8lbs and she is pregnant right now.
Aw 8lbs is tini tiny 🥹
I’m getting another puppy and it’s going to be a different breed because my 6 year old dog died from a womb infection and I miss her and my 3 year old dog misses her so much and he is usually hyper but ever since my dog Luna died he hasn’t been the same and so that means I have 1 dog and 1 cat
I’m so sorry to hear 😔 dogs also grieve so it might be hard for him. I wish you all the best 💖
$4000 for a mini?! Holy cow I got lucky 😭 my husband and I are getting our mini for $600. Mom is pure bred standard and dad is pure blue healer, so she’s basically a pure mut which I guess would knock down the price 😂
Dog prices are getting crazy yall 😭
I have a toy Aussie, he’s a fun energetic little thing lol he’s maybe 15-17lbs and the size of my cat, my 2yr old LOVES that he’s perfect for her size 😂
I can’t imagine an Aussie that small! So cute 🥹
you should NOT have to pay more for your aussie depending on the colour if you do then change breeders immediatly as that breeder is just looking to profit off of that dog and does not care about the dog and not a reputable breeder most likely just a byb
You can name ur dog Lin
Why Lin? 🥺
They really shouldn't be having the tail if they are AKC breeding standards.
Only if you want to put your dog for show 👍🏻
Sorry lady you’re clearly just winging it.
Kinda 😔
@@AlphaAussies you did good though… and yr cute so it’s a win
That is so rude. This is a very informational video and I needed it to make my decision about which pup I wanted. Standard, mini, or toy.
@@AddieAngelsame here. I think i want the Teacup but i dont know how rare they will be as far as finding one for sale.
There is no such thing as a “mini aussie”! If bread according to AKC standards (you should know this!) it’s a Miniature American Shepherd. And stating that the aussie requires more exercise clearly shows that you know nothing!
Correct! the toy Aussie is not classified under AKC
Please don’t make videos claiming to have knowledge of dog breed when you’re clearly second guessing every other thing you’re saying. This is not informative and will only confuse any future dog owners. This video should be taken down if you care at all about the dog breed.
That’s just the way I talk, I get that a lot lol
WHEN are you going to get it right?? There is NO such thing as a Mini or Toy Australian Shepherd!! There is ONLY ONE size. GEEZ get it right so you do not confuse people. The Mini are called American Shepherds. NO relation to the TRUE Australian Shepherd!!
😭😭😭
They're actually called both mini aussies and American shepherds. Which- is a dumb name cause aussies were actually made in California. So technically speaking they could all be called American shepherds cause they aren't from Australia :)
I agree about the Australian name, but still there is NO such thing as a "Mini" Australian shepherd. They are not AKC registered or recognized. I have an Aussie, and he is the greatest. If people really want the "look" and spirit of a true Aussie, the get the real deal, not an imitation!!
@@Dogs538 i have a mini; advertised as such when i bought her. Dog DNA test revealed 100% Aussie just small parents. They exist
I have a toy/ mini aussie shepherd. Yes, the name is misleading. It's definitely a lot smaller than Australian Shepherd.
Damn my mini cost 2000$. I thought I got an average deal. 4000$ is crazy lol.
They just keep going up! 😭
