I came in possession of some real rusty Scissors that needed lots of love, I took the worst ones to make as new as possible. This is their story.

  • Nicely done Mr Dale. I have several sets of old shears like those that belonged to my late father that I've restored and they are very handy in the shop.

  • Nice work Dale! I really like how you brought back those pairs. High quality older scissors are something I keep my eyes open for at estate sales--the best pairs I own have come from estate sales.

  • Really nice video. I noticed three things I would do differently. 1. When disassembling the scissors, let one half drop point down onto the top of your foot. 2. Spill at least six ounces of liquid on your bench top. 3. Let the cordless drill twist in your hand spraining your wrist. That is how I roll. Keep making great videos, you will get the hang of things.

  • Nice restore on those rusty scissors. You conquered some difficult ones. I've never done scissors but I have done several shears. From looking at these they seem more difficult so they will be a good challenge for me.

    @ronaldkozian5825@ronaldkozian58259 күн бұрын
    • Thank you Ron, you may have something there, people don't sew like they use too. I know in our house scissors are used more in the Kitchen than anywhere else,. I just like those old Scissors. Haver a good week my friend,

  • Nice work Dale!👍I'm always picking up scissors too... if they are a buck or two, Wiss and Clauss are my usual. That belt sander is pretty cool....need to upgrade my 1 x 30. I need a fiber wheel as well :] Congrats in advance for the 1k subs😀

    @DirtandRust@DirtandRust10 күн бұрын
    • Thank you Sir. I like the fiber wheel, the sander is a 1 X 42 old J C Penney Penncraft., I had the motor reworked when I got it. hopefully it will last a while. Have a good week.

  • Nice work. I have a question on that rust remover liquid. Can you reuse that? I mean, after soaking your item in it, can you pour it back into the bottle and use again in the future?

    @baxojayz@baxojayz10 күн бұрын
    • I do reuse it. I pore it into another container so I don't mess up the new stuff. It can be used several times. You will be able to tell when it looses its strength,. Good to hear from ya.
