WE MUST BELIEVE AND CONFESS HE IS HIS SON. Rom 10vs9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Like you said it is God that is with us following us around, but am I to understand that it is Jesus with us too? And some people use both names ? Because I've heard several people refer to God as God and Jesus as Jesus but not so much God as Jesus or Jesus as God. And seems like the "holy spirit" gets left out a lot when referring to God and/or Jesus

    • The Bible says that Jesus is an “heir” of God (Heb. 1vs2), and a “joint-heir” with us (Rom. 8vs17). But if Christ is a co-eternal “Person” in the “Godhead,” then he cannot be an heir “of God” because, being God, he would be full owner of everything and there is nothing he could “inherit.” Jesus cannot be God and an heir of God at the same time.

    • Jesus never taught the Trinity John 1vs18 says that Jesus made “God” known to people. But if “God” is a triune God composed of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, then Jesus did not make God known. Jesus never taught the Trinity, even when he had good opportunities to do so. In fact, Jesus taught quite the opposite, he taught that the Father alone was God. A good example of Jesus not teaching the Trinity occurred when Jesus met the Samaritan woman at the well (John 4vs1-42), he told her that he was the Messiah (John 4vs26), but he never mentioned the Trinity and in fact, he said, “the hour is coming…when the true worshipers will worship the Father” (John 4vs23), thus reinforcing the woman’s belief that there was one God that people should worship. Similarly, when Jesus asked the Apostles who they thought he was, and Peter said that Jesus was the Christ, Jesus did not take that opportunity to teach them the Trinity (Matt. 16vs17-20). In fact, Jesus said that it was “my Father in heaven” who revealed that to Peter, reinforcing Peter’s belief that it was God in heaven who revealed things. Also, when Jesus healed the man who had been blind from birth, he told him that he was the Messiah but did not say a word about the Trinity (John 9vs35-38), in fact, the blind man who had been healed thought Jesus was a man who worshipped God and that is why he could heal. The man said, “God does not hear sinners, but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does his will, he hears him…If this man were not from God, he would not be able to do anything” (John 9vs31, 33). Another record is of the rich young ruler, and when the young man called Christ, “Good master,” Jesus not only did not teach the man the Trinity, he rebuffed him and said the only one who was good was God (Mark 10vs17-18).

    • Bro there are many misconceptions when one doesn't read the bible in CONTEXT, PRETEXT AND POST-TEXT, that is absolutely why this confusion is occurring. I love how you used bible references throughout and it really means you are trying to understand. I pray the same Spirit of God that raised Jesus from the dead opens the eyes of your understanding to know The Father through the Son and the spirit rests upon you to reveal Christ (John 16:7-8). So lemme try to explain: 1. the trinity was explained by Apostle Paul in Ephesians 1:3 and even Jesus quoted in John 10.30 about the oneness of the Father and then in chapter 15 vs 7-8 " If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Joh 15:8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. " In the latter verse he (Jesus) mentions the Spirit coming as a comforter from the Father Himself (v26) 2. In Matthew 16: Jesus spoke to his disciples on identity, by saying "What do men say that i am", then went to say "What do you then say that i am" and after Peter's response, he said "Flesh and Blood has not revealed this to you"... meaning nothing of this world hath revealed it to you, so there's a supernatural force behind it 3. "Jesus never taught trinity" is a verse untrue statement because in the bible from the synoptic Gospels, it was very explicit that Jesus called himself the Father and the Spirit a. Mark 2:10 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, b. Joh 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. c. Mat 22:44 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool? d. Luk 20:17 And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner? The stone was explained by Apostle Paul in 1Co 10:4 "And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ." (referenced from Numbers 21)@@carols9989

    • Jesus received his direction and his doctrine from his Father, God. In John 5vs19 (ESV), he said: “the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing.” Jesus repeated that in several different ways. “I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge…because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me” (John. 5vs30 ESV). “My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me” (John 7vs16 ESV). “I do nothing on my own authority, but speak just as the Father taught me” (John. 8vs28 ESV). “For I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment-what to say and what to speak” (John 12vs49 ESV). If Jesus was God, and co-equal and co-eternal with the Father, then he would not have needed to be directed by his Father. The Old Testament referred to the Messiah as the servant of God. For example, in Isaiah 52-53, which speak of the suffering and death of the Messiah, the Bible refers to the Messiah as God’s “servant” (Isa. 52vs13). When the disciples prayed to God in Acts, they called King David God’s “servant” (Acts 4vs25), and later in that same prayer they called Jesus “your holy servant” (Acts 4vs30 CSB; ESV; NAB; NASB; NET; NIV; NJB). They equated the Messiah as a servant of God just like David was, rather than referring to Jesus as if he was God himself (cp. Matt. 12vs18; Acts 3vs26). Jesus is not God but the servant of God, just like the Bible says. Acts3vs22 For Moses truly said to the fathers, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you. 23 And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.’ 24 Yes, and all the prophets, from Samuel and those who follow, as many as have spoken, have also foretold these days. 25 You are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘And in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’ 26 To you first, GOD, HAVING RAISED UP HIS SERVANT JESUS, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.” Isa42vs1 “Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights!

Jesus was the loophole OF THAT loophole to give us all a shot to get to heaven. Now it's a numbers game until the end. I noticed you mentioned all but the holy spirit, which.. come to think of it the poor holy spirit gets left out a lot doesn't it? Some people say God some say Jesus but very rarely do people refer God/Jesus as Holy Spirit.... I've seen those bracelets that say "what would Jesus do" but never "what would holy spirt do .... or for that matter never seen one that said, "what would God do" ? And also if I may ask, would it be splitting hairs if I chose to go to heaven through God and not Jesus? Because it seems pretty important and specific that "Jesus" is the only way. What if one never prays to Jesus' name nor God but only the holy spirt? And how's come people don't use the name Holy Spirit as much as God and Jesus?

Rom8vs17 and if children, then heirs-heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. 1JOhn5vs1 Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him. Who is Born of God?? He believes that Jesus is the Christ, right!!! • Maybe you should go and check out Modalism, because that is exactly what that is. A modalist beileve that God came in three different forms. He came as the Father, then he came as the son, then as the holy spirit. But never all at onces. That is Modalism. And the Water, ice and stream likness is an old Modalist argument. Trinitarians call that belief system: Heresy So i would not recommened you, if you are a Trinitaran to use that likness. But I understand why people use it even as Trinitarians. Because the Trinity is far to confusing to many to describe it. So sooner or later when speaking to them they will fall into heresy. Willingly or unwillingly. If something is true, it is not confusing. Specially if it is from God. Because God is not an author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33) God bless you

    • Trinitarians get around the fact that Jesus was dead by saying that only his human nature died, but there are quite a few problems with that. Firstly, the council of Chalcedon, which Trinitarians hold to, would consider that idea a heresy. Speaking of Jesus, it says that he is “acknowledged in Two Natures unconfusedly, unchangeably, indivisibly, inseparably… not as though He were parted or divided into Two Persons, but One and the Self-same Son and Only-begotten God, Word, Lord, Jesus Christ” (The Chalcedonian Definition, Fourth Ecumenical Council at Chalcedon, 451 AD). The idea that Jesus’ human nature could be separated from his divine nature is a form of Nestorianism which is considered a heresy by Trinitarians and was condemned at the Council of Ephesus (431 AD) and also the Council of Chalcedon, as shown above. Therefore, saying that it was only Jesus’ human nature that died is, according to Trinitarians themselves, a heresy. Secondly, the Bible never says that only Jesus’ human nature died. In fact, the Bible never says that Jesus had two natures. That is a Trinitarian assumption not directly based on Scripture. Furthermore, the Bible never says “Jesus’ human nature died and was raised,” it says that “Jesus” died and was raised. The more subtle problem with saying that only Jesus’ human nature died, is that then the Trinitarian “Jesus” (with two natures) did not die on the cross. “Jesus” is not just one nature, he is two natures according to Trinitarians. Trinitarian doctrine is that “Jesus” is a Person in the Trinity who has two natures, a human nature and a divine nature. No Trinitarian document about Jesus says that “Jesus” is only the human nature. Trinitarians are unanimous that “Jesus” is a Person with two natures. That would mean that when “Jesus” died, both natures were dead. But that cannot be correct: God cannot die, so Jesus’ supposed “God nature” could not die. Since according to Trinitarian doctrine the two natures of Christ cannot be split apart, then it seems that any Trinitarian either has to believe that God (Jesus) died, which is nonsensical, or believe that Jesus was not God and therefore, could die for our sins.

    • Don’t stress yourself out over a deep metaphysical concept that is beyond human comprehension. How exactly does the nature of God work? That’s just an incomprehensible concept to explain or understand. My head wants to explode when I try to understand space-time relativity, yet surely that must be simpler than grasping an exhaustive understanding of God (philosophically “God” simply refers to the ground of reality). “The Trinity” is an extremely superficial and lousy attempt at explaining a difficult metaphysical concept that just can’t be explained. It’s no more satisfactory than saying “God is one.” As if the latter explained anything either. Yet people keep arguing between “God is one” vs “God has 3 natures” as if either of those ridiculously simple statements could even come close to being some sort of ontological explanation of what God is. There’s no explanatory power behind either statement. Nor would an atheist be able to give any type of satisfactory explanation for WHY the laws of nature act the way that they act. What is time? I’ve never heard an answer to this question that I could wrap my head around. Well I’m not gonna spend any energy pretending that some Christian philosopher(s) who declared “The Trinity” was supposed to entail some satisfactory description of what God is. What is consciousness? Does space continue forever? What is infinity? These are ALL questions that go beyond human understanding. So don’t tie yourself into mental knots trying to make sense out of a non-explanation called “The Trinity.” Just think of the Trinity as telling you THAT God consists of attributes/natures that include Jesus and the holy spirit. But don’t think of “The Trinity” as if it’s some technical explanation of HOW exactly that works. So I wouldn’t stress about not understanding something that absolutely nobody can understand. Those church fathers who coined the term “Trinity” don’t comprehend it either.

    • ‭‭John‬ ‭17‬:‭20‬-‭23‬ ‭KJV‬‬ Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; that they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

    • He is the Son of God, but still He is God. Because our God is All Mighty, He is able to fulfill different roles simultaneously. God is The Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. One God, 3 different roles for our Salvation. You can be a mother, a daughter and a wife. Again, is not a perfect example because God is far above what our minds can really understand, but I think the example works. God bless you and your family abundantly.

  • It’s the perfect example of when we all pray, we’re just talking to ourselves. And we believe the things we pray for because our minds are already convinced prayer is just the vehicle of justification.

  • I believe God sent himself as someone who could fit in with the human race to teach us. Jesus prayed in isolation, but he was still seen doing it. By seeing Jesus pray, we've been taught to turn to God always. Without God/the human Jesus, where would we be today?

    • He most certainly did not come to fit in. He came to redeem us from sin passed on by Adam and Eve. To fit in is to be of this world, do not be of this world, and because he did not fit in, he was crucified. For I have come to SET A MAN AGAINST HIS FATHER, AND A DAUGHTER AGAINST HER MOTHER, AND A DAUGHTER-IN-LAW AGAINST HER MOTHER-IN-LAW; and A MAN'S ENEMIES WILL BE THE MEMBERS OF HIS [own] HOUSEHOLD [when one believes and another does not]. This means if you don't believe in him and his commandments, you are not worthy of him. He, as the ultimate sacrifice, gave his life for the remission of our sins so that we may have life after death and put on our immortal bodies that we lost through Adam and Eves fall. They could no longer have the continence that allows you to dwell and be with GOD because of their transgression. Jesus made it so that we could come back to the father by believing upon him. He did not fit in with the doctrines of the Sadducees and the Pharisees, so they crucified him.

    • God did not send himself. He sent his son who is a separate being from God. The Bible says no one can see God and yet live and that God cannot die. (No part of him can die).

  • Our spirit isn't a seperate person than our being.they are not two people.Just two natures.Jesus was praying to God in a human nature,as we would. That is the example of how we should pray.
