How to cook bone marrow. It's a fascinating food that played a role in human evolution. It's super tasty and nutritious when roasted in the oven and spread on toast. I could have this every day.

What does it taste like?
@@latonyagreen-warner7402gooey fatty taste.. nice for combining with bread
Two questions: where do you find/buy marrow bones like this? I've never seen anything like this at the store. And what would be a good alternative to the baguette to make it keto? Low carb tortilla maybe?
Incredible!!!
EXCEPTIONAL!
Approx how long did they stay in the oven? Trying to plan how much time I need to prepare this for dinner tonight
In truth, that would turn off all of my family. Looks great to me. Thank you.
Just tried it and it was amazing 🤤 didn't have garlic powder for some reason so I kinda burned some crushed garlic in the oven, grinded with salt and black pepper and put in the oven again to completely dry, then put it all over the bone marrow with a drizzle of lemon juice, was a little salty for my roommate but next time I'll use garlic powder
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great channel
Just about to start cooking some for my 7 month infant, thought I'd see how it's done 👍
Wunderbar video. Highly entertaining.
Thank you!
Looks very delicious 😋😋😋
Thank you :)
I can almost taste it
I wonder what the bone chip contents are from sawing open the bone
Delicious bone marrow.
Danke aus Deutschland, wir lieben das!
❤🎉
Cans you save already cooked bone marrow? I made some and have extra that I don’t dare get rid of! But not sure how to save!
Yes it stores very well and you can use it as butter in sauces. Just scrape it into a container and put in your fridge.
And how did you cut it in half? Forgot to show that...
The butcher does the cutting
Such a peaceful, beautiful video. May I recommend you consider sharpening your knives? It would improve the quality of the cooking process and minimize the risk of injury.
Thanks! Had them sharpened.
Wow, how you showed to cut that in half.
Next time, try a shot of lightly peated whiskey down the bone afterwords! Talisker or Highland park 12 would be perfect.
That sounds great!
So interesting because the instructions on the back of my bag of marrows say to cook for 45-60 minutes at 400° which I think is just insane
Maybe yours are frozen?
@@la_ballade they were, but I only had to cook them for 14 minutes!
@@WhenIThinkAbout Nicely done!
Thanks for the info! I’m planning on adding some to home made pizza tonight
Nice recipe but the on hold music was killing me...
how do you only have 44 subscribers
Haha I just started this channel!
He will have more subscribers soon. Keep up the fantastic work.
3:18 yummmm
Considering the fat alone in the marrow I wonder if it is necessary to butter the bread? Seems a bit cholesterol overkill for one meal.
There was no butter.
LOL. that was bone marrow spread over bread. creative huh?!
Is this a lamp or a cow?
This is cow.
You know you're in the wrong restaurant when they cut a 1/5th of the cutting board off to offset it for the "aesthetics"
My apologies! I made a comment on this video not realizing that it wasn't the right video. I'm the dummy here! So sorry! 😢
when i made it it was oily
so it was cut in half magickly ?????
By the butcher yes. He's a wizard.
