Welcome to my KZhead channel! In this video, I am delighted to present to you a unique mixed media painting technique that uses foam for texture and Epodex resin. The minimalist artwork represents a lava flow on the island of La Palma in the Canary Islands, following the various eruptions in 2022. This method creates an artwork that is halfway between painting and sculpture, with a unique and fascinating conceptual aspect. You will learn the basic techniques for working with these materials and discover how to use them to create stunning works of art. Whether you are a beginner or looking to perfect your artistic skills, this video is for you. So, be sure to subscribe to my channel to not miss any of my upcoming tutorials and discover a new way to create art!

  • I've commented before but I'll say it again: This man has so many creative, fun ideas! I'm the 72-year-old newby artist. I enjoy trying to create some of the same effects. I work daily but am still not there--I'll keep working on it! I want to do pieces that show the environmental degradation in what were once the most pristine regions of the world, especially the Artic and Antarctic polar regions. I loved the end with the shots of Paris. I spent two years in Europe (1969-1971). Paris was my favorite city. Paris, at that time, was one of the most extraordinary cities on Earth.

  • My first attempt with the foam failed. it only cured near where the opening of the bag is. the rest remained wet. So there must be a specific kind of spray foam im thinking? Went and got another can of different foam and had the same outcome. thin and mostly wet. its like unless the foam get air it stays wet. Im going to head over to your blog to see if you explain the process any further than the video as im totally stoked to make this work! 3 days later. i think i was just impatient :-) they hardened but they are thin. So I am learning. Update::: I ended up with two finished pieces. it took about two weeks with drying times and fitting in between work but I am veery happy how they turned out and it inspired me to try a few more of my own design. Then i can move on to some of these other awesome things you do!

    @ChrisTuckerPhotography@ChrisTuckerPhotography Жыл бұрын
    • Hello Chris ! Thank you for sharing your experience with the foam. The drying process can depend on various factors such as the brand of foam, amount of foam used, size of the bag, etc. It's always a good idea to do a small test before trying it on a larger scale. Also, cutting the bag on one side to allow more air to enter can help with the drying process. I hope you find more helpful tips on our blog and good luck with your future attempts!

    • Dear Tamara, I don't know if you will see this but I had to take a chance. We are all creative beings in some way. If your spirit is calling you to make art it's so important to respond! It is your path and no one has the right to keep you from that path. Not a parent, not a brother or sister, or even a husband. I don't know what his motives are but please assert yourself. Maybe if you explain to him that it is not a waste of time because it makes you happy and fulfilled. When you are fulfilled you will be a better wife, mother, and human being overall. If our needs are ignored the unhappiness that brings affects everything in our lives. I cannot stress how very important it is for you to do what your heart needs. I hope you see this and it helps you. I am sending you energy of strength, kindness, and creativity. All the best to you!

    • Yes, that's correct! I usually mix acrylic paint with epoxy resin from the brand Epodex, and it sets up as normal. It's a really fun and unique way to add color and texture to epoxy projects. Just make sure to follow the recommended mixing ratios and curing times for the specific brand of epoxy resin you're using. Let me know if you have any other questions!
