      @victorofrias@victorofriasАй бұрын
    • @@victorofriasthat not true, if employers would pay that much for the national wage then consumers will have more spending driving up inflation, as well as food prices rise since they know that you guys have some more money to spent this is basic economics 101 since if you guys have more money they have more demand they should really stabilize the food prices by fixing supply chain issues and govt spending not raise wage 💀💀💀that only adds more to inflation. Study what inflation is it the relative price increase due to loss of real purchasing power.

My rent has increased by 30% in 2 years. We have to move each year? Inhumane af. Do you even understand the costs to move?? I’m being robbed by landlords. Literally. And soon the costs to move will be too high and I’ll wind up on the street with the rest of the unhoused in the US. When rents increase by 15% every year, that’s where all of your savings go. We are TRAPPED. 2 adults in a 1 bed 1 bath that’s already overpriced but the best we could afford before rental units went up by $200/month every year… At this rate renters will always be stuck overpaying and stay impoverished. We want to own our own properties!! But have no options to escape the lords. *What we need is rent control or a complete overhaul of the medieval era landlord system. Companies now hoard rental properties using computer programs like RealPage to jack up costs of living astronomically. This is a system issue the government needs to regulate NOW.*
