Gets the mind churning over the sad ways we are slowly destroying this place, and this is one reason I'm going to see as much as I can before they are beyond. Poorer economic areas like this, where the locals resort to primative methods of harvesting mass amounts of food can only turn out one way. Great vid. The fishing is one thing but there's so much more going on.

Seeing these videos have changed my mind frame of how I used to fish. The beaches on Guam are beautiful but over fished for years. I used to set net for fish and took fish too small , never saw the numbers replenish.( Sounds like your in chuuk. ) by the time I was in high school if I shot 1 good size spear fishing it went right on the grill, we ate everything we caught , or gave it to our elderly aunts and uncles , that enjoyed it. We don't have crocodiles or sea snakes to worry about where I'm from , just other people with garbage and ignorance.

Happy New Year dude and what an awesome video !So breath-taking and its sad to see bomb fishing is still employed.There are still people with zero regard to the marine ecosystem.Just weeks ago I read about an overseas company destroying big part of a reef system in Fiji,in order to make a channel to the shore for their boats.Was such a sad sight to see such destruction.Keep up the excellent work,your videos are simply so good.
