I was introduced to Moonspell songs in a local metal pub in my hometown Bangalore, India. I remember walking to the DJ to check on the song and he replied ‘Nocturna’ by Moonspell, a Portuguese metal band and this was way back in 2003. Enuf said, am still hooked onto moonspell

I missed the release of this album back in 2015, but once I listened to it 2 years ago, it completed TOP-3 of Moonspell masterpieces for me. Along with 'Irreligious' and 'Darkness and Hope' P.S. From Russia with love and respect 🤘🤘🤘

I've heard this song around six times in a row now. I just love it! Love those heavy, catchy riffs combined with Fernando's superb clean vocals and some great, poppy keyboards. It reminds me of Dark Tranquillity's "State of Trust", it's similar in style. Really like the lyrics too! Excellent!

Oh my god! My favorite era (Sin, Darkness and Hope is back). WHat a great song!! Moonspell have this deep emotional approach to the music and it best shows in songs where Fernando actually sings.

This is fantastic. Love it. I've been secretly hoping they'd go back to the more mature, rock-oriented sound they had a decade plus ago. Loved the sound and image they had. Darkness and Hope is probably my favorite album from them. Seems they kind of got away from it after The Antidote, indulging in a more medieval fantasy type vibe with a renewed dedication to extreme metal - which is never a bad thing. But now, it seems they're returning to those goth rock roots and I'm pumped. This song sounds like a cross between Darkness and Hope with The Antidote. The only thing missing is a titantic, emotive guitar solo like they used to have. Fernando's vocals are the best singing vocals he's done so far. Kudos, wolves! I've been enjoying this journey since 2001 and I'm glad its coming full circle with your sound. You guys were really born for modern darkness anyway. Stay inspired, gentlemen.

This song is for true Moonspell fans that know their history and know that Moonspell unlike other bands aren't affraid of experiment new things. So what if it isn't what we are used to, it's still a great song. It reminds me of Sin, Darkness and Hope albums, which were great albums in my opinion. For those that want something heavier try listening to Daemonarch, side project made by some Moonspell members sometime ago.

Great track,if the album is like this I except nothing more than a masterpiece...it's refreshing for us the old fans of moonspell to hear something like this...I think that this's is the nature of moonspell in its purest form,it peaked on sin pecado and butterfly fx ,made a wrong turn here and there ,but finally it has arrived at its destination.

Definitely unexpected, but I love this, personally. As much as I like Fernando's deep bellowed growls, the man has the best goth croon out there. I've learned to love every Moonspell album since Wolfheart. Bring on Extinct! \m/

Por vezes fico triste com a falta de respeito que muitos "Fans" tem para com certas mudanças que certas bandas ousam arriscar, o que é certo é que falam como se a banda lhes pertence-se tendo esta por sua vez que ficar estática e imóvel durante toda a eternidade aprisionada ao registo a que alguns desses fans foram habituados...Os músicos serão sempre influenciados pelo ambiente que os rodeia e pelas suas vivências...caso isso não aconteça então são músicos pouco criativos e vivem a vida a fazer mais do mesmo! Os Álbuns que ficam para trás serão eternos, porque a musica...felizmente é eterna...mas fan que é fan sabe respeitar a mudança!!!

Só posso deixar aqui a minha admiração pela banda!! Como MÚSICOS que são já levaram a banda a várias vertentes do heavy metal sempre com a mesma ideologia a nível de letras. Acho todos os álbuns geniais pelo facto de haverem álbuns muito incomuns e ainda assim conter grandes variações na mesma música, grandes letras, excelentes pormenores, consegue levar sempre alma a qualquer subgenero de metal devido à sua intensidade nas músicas. A estagnação nos levará de certo à extinção, os Moonspell no entanto serão eternos porque nunca estagnaram, nunca se acomodaram, fizeram cada álbum diferente do outro sem ceder a pressões ou ao vil metal (dinheiro), fizeram de cada opus da sua discografia um peça independente e resultante de sentimentos do momento, por isso como fã desde os primordios abraço desde já esta nova orientação, mais uma vez me surpreenderam, a canção é excelente e espero ansiosamente pelo novo álbum, pessoal, realmente querem ouvir sempre o mesmo album? Eu digo não à estagnação e sigo crescendo sob o feitiço da lua....

Nem pensar nisso! :) Eu e, aposto que muita gente também, queremos novos álbuns de Moonspell, mas com a essência deles, sem mudar quase por completo o seu estilo de sempre! Moonspell consegue fazer álbuns todos diferentes, mas sem perder o seu estilo próprio! E isto, para mim, é algo totalmente diferente e afastado do estilo que marca a banda, estilo esse que nos enfeitiçou até hoje...

ahem...não terá sido uma incursão, mas mais a sua natividade em negro; o que eles decidiram fazer depois é lá com eles...good riddance for the goths!

O problema, na minha opinião, não é a sua incursão pelo black metal (que só aconteceu no album/compilação Under Satanae), mas sim a incursão pelo Melo Death/Goth de Night Eternal, ou a coisa intragável que foi o Aura Noir/Omega White. E digo isto sendo fã de Moonspell de longa data, mas esta música está longe da genialidade gótica encontrada no The Antidote, ou da simples perfeição (se tirarmos a fraca produção) que foi Wolfheart. Este é um tema demasiado radiofónico, IMO, mais ainda que Luna que tinha uma catchiness brutal, fugindo ao brilho frio da lua e aproximando-se mais da luz quente do sol.

Sou demasiado velho para estar a discutir tags que geralmente os "jornalistas" gostam de impingir aos putos. Quando Welcome to Hell chegou, tinha 18 anos, portanto não estou à espera que alguém obviamente menos idoso me diga o que é BM. No entanto há que admitir que a banda do Fanã, quando chegou ao Wolfheart já não tinha aquele espírito Rootsy que ainda sustentavam no Under the Moonspell. Comprei a k7 demo mais ou menos na mesma altura do Wolfheart e, comparando, admito que alguma frustração me assaltou.

Pelo que escreveu, você confunde a experiência com orgulho/casmurrice! Tenha paciência e deixe "os putos" em paz! Para a próxima não parta de pressupostos errados! Se não gostou, o problema é seu! Esqueça, vai ver que passa a vida menos chateado e sem se sentir tão velho!

jc costa da silva Interessante é dizer isso quando na data do lançamento do Welcome to Hell o tal tag "que geralmente os "jornalistas" gostam de impingir aos putos" do Black Metal era inexistente, e só começou a ser aplicado, incorrectamente, a tudo o que saiu mais extremo a partir do album seguinte dos Venom (desde Bathory, a única banda que contribuiu realmente de forma musical para aquilo que hoje chamamos Black Metal, até Kreator e Destruction). Os tais "tags" a que se refere são aliás naturais à natureza humana, que cria tags para tudo o que o rodeia desde o momento em que começaram a ser humanos (alguns macacos também criam racionalmente tags primitivos). Mas enfim, o meu comentário, como pode ver, não se dirigia a si, mas sim ao +MikeVonDoom , visto que os Moonspell realmente nasceram no seio do BM, e realmente o problema, para mim, foi a tentativa de recrear o que bandas como Hypocrisy fizeram n vezes desde que passaram a tocar Melo Death. Tween guitars era engraçado há 20 anos, hoje em dia, e por uma banda que supostamente tem uma identidade própria e lusa, nem tanto.

Great track,if the album is like this I except nothing more than a masterpiece...it's refreshing for us the old fans of moonspell to hear something like this...I think that this's is the nature of moonspell in its purest form,it peaked on sin pecado and butterfly fx ,made a wrong turn here and there ,but finally it has arrived at its destination.

Por vezes fico triste com a falta de respeito que muitos "Fans" tem para com certas mudanças que certas bandas ousam arriscar, o que é certo é que falam como se a banda lhes pertence-se tendo esta por sua vez que ficar estática e imóvel durante toda a eternidade aprisionada ao registo a que alguns desses fans foram habituados...Os músicos serão sempre influenciados pelo ambiente que os rodeia e pelas suas vivências...caso isso não aconteça então são músicos pouco criativos e vivem a vida a fazer mais do mesmo! Os Álbuns que ficam para trás serão eternos, porque a musica...felizmente é eterna...mas fan que é fan sabe respeitar a mudança!!!

Só posso deixar aqui a minha admiração pela banda!! Como MÚSICOS que são já levaram a banda a várias vertentes do heavy metal sempre com a mesma ideologia a nível de letras. Acho todos os álbuns geniais pelo facto de haverem álbuns muito incomuns e ainda assim conter grandes variações na mesma música, grandes letras, excelentes pormenores, consegue levar sempre alma a qualquer subgenero de metal devido à sua intensidade nas músicas. Um bem haja, e felicidades porque em Portugal temos artistas, músicos que são uns verdadeiros colossos a nível mundial. Só não vê quem não quer!! Under the moon spell \m/

A estagnação nos levará de certo à extinção, os Moonspell no entanto serão eternos porque nunca estagnaram, nunca se acomodaram, fizeram cada álbum diferente do outro sem ceder a pressões ou ao vil metal (dinheiro), fizeram de cada opus da sua discografia um peça independente e resultante de sentimentos do momento, por isso como fã desde os primordios abraço desde já esta nova orientação, mais uma vez me surpreenderam, a canção é excelente e espero ansiosamente pelo novo álbum, pessoal, realmente querem ouvir sempre o mesmo album? Eu digo não à estagnação e sigo crescendo sob o feitiço da lua....
Eu não quero ouvir sempre o mesmo álbum! Nem pensar nisso! :) Eu e, aposto que muita gente também, queremos novos álbuns de Moonspell, mas com a essência deles, sem mudar quase por completo o seu estilo de sempre! Moonspell consegue fazer álbuns todos diferentes, mas sem perder o seu estilo próprio! Moonspell de volta ao _goth_. O que é optimo, considerando que a incursão pelo black metal não foi grande pistola...
ahem...não terá sido uma incursão, mas mais a sua natividade em negro; o que eles decidiram fazer depois é lá com eles...good riddance for the goths!
O problema, na minha opinião, não é a sua incursão pelo black metal (que só aconteceu no album/compilação Under Satanae), mas sim a incursão pelo Melo Death/Goth de Night Eternal, ou a coisa intragável que foi o Aura Noir/Omega White. E digo isto sendo fã de Moonspell de longa data, mas esta música está longe da genialidade gótica encontrada no The Antidote, ou da simples perfeição (se tirarmos a fraca produção) que foi Wolfheart. Este é um tema demasiado radiofónico, IMO, mais ainda que Luna que tinha uma catchiness brutal, fugindo ao brilho frio da lua e aproximando-se mais da luz quente do sol.
Sou demasiado velho para estar a discutir tags que geralmente os "jornalistas" gostam de impingir aos putos. Quando Welcome to Hell chegou, tinha 18 anos, portanto não estou à espera que alguém obviamente menos idoso me diga o que é BM. No entanto há que admitir que a banda do Fanã, quando chegou ao Wolfheart já não tinha aquele espírito Rootsy que ainda sustentavam no Under the Moonspell. Comprei a k7 demo mais ou menos na mesma altura do Wolfheart e, comparando, admito que alguma frustração me assaltou.

Pelo que escreveu, você confunde a experiência com orgulho/casmurrice! Tenha paciência e deixe "os putos" em paz! Para a próxima não parta de pressupostos errados! Se não gostou, o problema é seu! Esqueça, vai ver que passa a vida menos chateado e sem se sentir tão velho!
jc costa da silva Interessante é dizer isso quando na data do lançamento do Welcome to Hell o tal tag "que geralmente os "jornalistas" gostam de impingir aos putos" do Black Metal era inexistente, e só começou a ser aplicado, incorrectamente, a tudo o que saiu mais extremo a partir do album seguinte dos Venom (desde Bathory, a única banda que contribuiu realmente de forma musical para aquilo que hoje chamamos Black Metal, até Kreator e Destruction). Os tais "tags" a que se refere são aliás naturais à natureza humana, que cria tags para tudo o que o rodeia desde o momento em que começaram a ser humanos (alguns macacos também criam racionalmente tags primitivos). Mas enfim, o meu comentário, como pode ver, não se dirigia a si, mas sim ao +MikeVonDoom , visto que os Moonspell realmente nasceram no seio do BM, e realmente o problema, para mim, foi a tentativa de recrear o que bandas como Hypocrisy fizeram n vezes desde que passaram a tocar Melo Death. Tween guitars era engraçado há 20 anos, hoje em dia, e por uma banda que supostamente tem uma identidade própria e lusa, nem tanto.
