  • Amazing athletes. If I ever need a pick me up I just watch these athletes go and battle. Would suggest (Hey Dave Castro) maybe the "Happy Star individual runs could vary in length, terrain and angle of ascent, but say there are 4 run paths. Let the Athletes choose which runs they want to attack first and what order? They can follow Matt/Tia or the favorite (aka Matt/Tia!) or try and attack on there own. They will not know what pace to set because each run would be different length, terrain or incline. Each Athlete just has to complete each path to finish. Maybe grab a different colored peg to show that path is completed. Use peg for pegboard climb. Maybe 2 Pegboard climbs in the middle and end." Truly amazing athletes. Inspiring.

  • I was so looking forward to these Games but I can't even enjoy them. We already know who is going to dominate and win not only the overall but in every. single. event. Watching to see the rest actually compete is buffed by the laser focus camerawork on the "champs." My husband is a former triathlete and is a Tour de France, et al. fan and was a huge fan and defender of Lance Armstrong until the bitter end and he says there is no way Tia and Mat can dominate like they do without help. And I'm not talking from protein powder. He's watching these guys as an athlete and says they have to be doping. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt but it is strange how much better they are than the rest.

    • Fully agreed. Didn’t want to believe this but the way they blow past these other athletes and don’t appear to be hitting their max on anything....? It’s not right. And it seems so sad for the other athletes. I wish the cameras would at least ignore the champs and let us see some interesting competition with athletes who look like they are pushing it. They even have to start interviewing 2nd places only.... seems like a fu king joy killer for the other athletes.

  • Apart from Matt all the other men are pretty bad at the endurance events, is this down to the fact the first rounds that gave us the final 5 athletes were all only a couple of minutes long so suited a certain sort of athlete. It’s kind of spoiled it for me. If the final 5 would have been more rounded it could have been much closer(mat would have still won, but someone could have pushed him more)

    • @@sonnekevanrooyen5413 do you mean the corn sack run? If so that was 3 mins of effort, not really endurance. If you mean the trail run only Fraser did ok but even that was an hour which isn’t great(yes I know there was a lot of up hills. Was also a lot of down hills aswell)

    • @@markwhitham1169 yeah it was an hour long endurance run... and medeiros ran next to mat the whole time. His endurance is pretty good.

  • Tia and Mat are so good it's hard to imagine the games being able to continue. No one even remotely near them. Remember when the games were exciting? I memba. Crossfit Games are dying from boredom and so are the fans.

    • I honestly think it's this years set-up. You have 5 athletes going against each other all weekend. If they had the 45 athletes as usual you would have athletes that are just really good at some events and would challenge these tops guys. I highly doubt Tia and Matt would have this many event wins had they had the full field of games athletes here. Not saying they wont win, they will. But, it would be a bit more competitive and entertaining I think.
