  • Using tension rods against a washing machine to hold a board for extra storage is a bad idea. Washing machines tend to scoot around during operation. It's going to shake the shelf and everything on it, loose.

    • If u don't hv a garage, live in an apartment, or hv inclement weather, it's tough to stain wood inside your place. Especially hard with indoor pets due to the fumes. Just a thought? - just me in Palm Springs 🌴

    • It looked like she was using plywood which in my opinion does not stain well. Also the contact paper is waterproof and easy cleanup.

    • My hubs made one so the baskets were tipped toward the front. It was easier to sort laundry with the open part of the basket being accessible.

  • They make a really good portable shelf type space saver that holds your laundry soap with a drip pan underneath it and room for other laundry items. It fits between the washer and dryer..I got mine at Walmart.

  • Our first home had metal cupboards in the kitchen. Turquoise!. It didn't fit, so I covered them with the wood appearing stick on paper to cover them. The lòok was terrific

  • Tension rods will drop more often than you could handle them. Not worth it. For the rest, you have to have some experience working with wood and all that machinery.
